******. On January 27th 2025 I received a letter from Caine and Weiner saying that I owe the city of LA office of finance around 3980$. I contacted them immediately by email to ask why I owe this money but I have yet to see a response. I do not know why i owe this charge and I do not see how to get in touch and pay this money to the city of *********** without getting the information through them which seems odd since they did not answer me. I would like them to give me an explanation specifically if there is a signed receipt they can give me that would explain where these charges came from and why they are where they are.Business Response

This company has kept an old debt on my report for over 20 years!. HOW is that even LEGAL when debts are supposed to fall off after 7 years! A letter was sent to them FROM Progressive stating that I no longer owe the $223 YET they KEPT adding it back after every 7 years as a NEW collection from Progressive. I have disputed it every time and was told they still saw it as a current debt. Stopped receiving notices from them over 15 years ago, NO LETTERS stating I still owe this debt, NO phone calls, NOTHING but adding that debt BACK on 3 times since that progressive collection came to be. UNREAL...Something has to be done. They have hurt my credit for that long!!!Business Response
