I am filing a complaint regarding a derogatory account originally from *********************, which I only became aware of after it was sent to collections and reported on my credit report in 2021. The amount was $249, and I fully paid this debt in ******* my knowledge, I was never contacted by *********** or the collection agency prior to this account being reported to the credit bureaus. I did not receive any notice, bill, or attempt to collect before this derogatory **** appeared on my credit file.This account has negatively affected my credit for years, despite the fact that:I was not made aware of the debt through any written or verbal notice The amount was small and would have been resolved immediately had I known I voluntarily paid it in full upon learning of it in 2024 I believe this violates principles of fair communication and good business practice, especially given the lack of opportunity I was given to resolve the matter before it harmed my credit.I am formally requesting that the company:Remove the derogatory **** from all credit bureaus as a goodwill gesture, or Provide a detailed explanation of the communication attempts that were allegedly made I value responsible financial behavior and have made good faith efforts to resolve this matter. At minimum, I believe this entry deserves reconsideration for deletion or correction, given the circumstances.Business Response

They picked up a collections account and repeatedly sent me phone calls to pay it off so I did, they took it off my credit report then about a month later they added it back on to my report and I have sent reports to Equifax 3 times. 2 times they've removed it and every time within a week they add it back on my reportInitial Complaint
