As stated in our original response, our records indicate validation was sent to the consumer. It was reforwarded on the 14th for the consumer's perusal. The original contract was not with ***** & Weiner. The original contract was with Progressive and Progressive forwarded the file to collections. The consumer should contact Progressive to obtain the original contractual agreement signed with Progressive. The file is currently in a 'Disputed' status. Credit reporting will stop while the account is being researched. if research indicates the debt is valid the credit bureaus will be updated accordingly.

While reviewing my credit recently I found a collection from ***** and Weiner. I sent a letter disputing this account as I have never contracted with this company. In my letter I requested proof of validity as well as method of verification . Neither has been provided to date. I am planning to file a complaint with CFPB since requested information has not been received.

Our office received an account from the creditor, *********************, with respect to this consumer in April of 2020 for recovery of unpaid auto insurance premiums. Please note the balance due is not owed to ***** & Weiner. Initial correspondence was sent to the consumer at that time. There is no record of any mail return. System notes do not reflect any attempts by the consumer to reach our office. Our office initiated several calls to the consumer but the line was disconnected. Our records indicate that the creditor still shows the balance as due by the consumer. The *********** policy was cancelled in February 2020. Creditor records indicate coverage was provided for a 2012 ************ and a 2019 ************* on a *********** policy ending in **** and that a payment made in December 2019 was insufficient to cover the premium balance due at the time of cancellation. Our records indicate that the requested validation was forwarded to the consumer on several occasions. As a courtesy, another copy of validation is being forwarded to the consumer. If the consumer believes this information to be incorrect, our office will gladly review any documentation provided by the consumer with respect to the policy, vehicle, payment or coverage specifics for this account that may indicate the creditor's records are not accurate. We welcome the opportunity to speak with the consumer. The consumer may contact our office at XXX- XXX-XXXX for additional assistance.
