1 starMy computer wasn't running that well and I heard about Hello Tech from a friend and decided to give them a call. The tech came out the following Saturday. He was proffesional and courteous. A few days later I started getting ads from ****** which I never had before. I had to uninstall the app from the list of apps. I don't why the tech added that without my authorization. What bothers me the most is I asked for a receipt for the work done 11/29 and 11/30 and all I got was the run around. The first tech said he would email me and I would get it right away. I didn't. The next tech said it could take up to 24 hours which seemed odd to me and he would follow up with a phone call which he didn't. In closing the extra app and not sending me a receipt promptly shows how shady I beleive they are. I wouldn't reccomend their services to anyone.HelloTech

1 starSCAM! I had two TV's mounted and they mounted them too close to the wall so I can't access the plug to plug in another component. I signed up for their membership when the TV's were installed and they said I could cancel at anytime. THAT'S NOT TRUE! I had 5 techs scheduled and canceled in the last week to get this issue resolved. They scheduled one for today and I didn't believe they were serious. When I called to cancel today's service they said they were going to charge me $69! When I asked them to cancel my membership they said they would send me a link. When I logged on it said I had to cancel within 30 days. It's been 33! So they are going to continue to charge me $20 per month for the next year! Complete BS!HelloTech

1 starI had a tech come to my home to set up my new smart tv. I specifically asked him to connect the tv to cable. He got the tv to work as far as turning on and getting the included channels. My mistake in assuming he also connected the tv to cable successfully. He was very quiet, barely spoke, rather dismissive when responding to my questions. He left after about 20 minutes. He didn't go over use of the remote or explain anything to me. After he left, I discovered the tv is not connected to cable! After several calls and ignoring texts from me, I was told HT was having trouble finding a tech to finish the job. $79.00 for what?! Finally I get emails requesting I give two windows of availability so I did but this meant 4-5 days without live tv, including Sunday football! So I signed up with - - - - and cancelled the tech appointment and cable - giving HelloTech at least 4 days notice and guess what? They charge me $25 for cancelling! When this 2nd appointment was made only because the FIRST tech did NOT complete the job!! Oh, and they were charging me $7.90 for follow up!!! Not a lot but they should never charge for 2nd appt when it was their fault! This is NOT 100% guaranteed service!! I am telling everyone I know to never use HelloTech.Review fromXavier M

1 starIf there was a terrible business awards, Hellotech would win. I first called to have a tv wire behind wall concealment done and the first technician created a fire hazard by using a wire that was not made for in the wall use and then tried to tell me a coax cable is better than HDMI. After he installed everything the cable no longer worked and the tech looked at me and said, "**** looks like you dont have cable and left.... $178.00 was charged to my account. ********************** tried to fix the problem by sending out a new technician "for free" he did a great job but then Hellotech charges me $199.00. I call to try to get a refund and all I get is that it takes ***** hours to process claims, It has now been 264 hours and nothing. Hellotech is a terrible business and they need to hire a new customer service team as well as an operations management team because judging from past reviews you guys are shooting yourselves in the foot. Also needs to do a better job vetting your technicians.HelloTech

1 starI found this company online because I needed help with my Nest thermostat. First appointment, tech was a no show. **************** indicated he can not be located and he is not responding. Ok, fine. I rescheduled for the following day. Same exact thing happened. Tech could not be located and was not responsive. At this point I was obviously annoyed but I decided to give them one more chance. A completely different tech was assigned for the following day which was 11/23. AGAIN!! My appointment for 5pm came and went. I called customer service and was told they cannot get ahold of this different tech. I get a text 30 min later stating my appt was cancelled.
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! One time, ok fine. But THREE TIMES!!! I will never use this company again and I will definitely not be recommending them to anyone.HelloTech

1 starSCAM! Bought Television from ******* which offered this service for $79 on Nov 17, 2022. Today is Nov 22, 2022. I was told by ******* rep that "hello tech" will reach out to us in 2 days, that didn't happen so we called back ******* and asked for a refund they said to give hellotech the opportunity to resolve the issue and they gave ** their number. We called them immediately and got Tuesday morning at 9am today Nov 22, 2022. No one showed up. We called 9;15am to see if they were running late. They advised us that the technician was no longer heading out there and someone will update us within an hour. That didn't happen so I called back 10:40am and they then told me they will give us a refund if they cannot get someone out there by 3pm. They scheduled an appointment for 3pm of course no one showed up. Its now 4:47pm and the last thing the representative text us was your order has been cancelled per your request I wished I could add there text messages. It's like a full on scam operation. I can almost guarantee most of their good reviews are paid reviews from fellow scammers because the way how everything manifested I will never recommend them. I cannot trust a company with no due diligence and absolutely no regard for the effect it plays upon their client. So ******* is complicit with this stickup on paper because they are the co-conspirators. Someone needs to give us back our money, since no one decided to render the service that they said they would do. DO NOT TRUST THEM! MY ORDER #******.HelloTech

While we would never want a customer to have this experience, we take your feedback very seriously and have addressed these issues with the technicians appropriately.
Regarding the refund, being that the service was purchased through Walmart, you'll need to reach out to them to have the funds issued back to you, as we never accepted payment.

1 starI purchased a new ** and wall mount from ******** and when checking out, I was given the option of an add on service for "expert help" from HelloTech mounting the ** for $79. I added that service. The email confirmation from ******* indicated I would be contacted by HelloTech. My ** was delivered same day and the mount the next, but several days went by with no contact from HelloTech. So I call on I think 11/1/22 and ask to schedule an appointment. I select two dates later that week and subsequently receive an email indicating my Tech has been assigned for 11/3/22 at 3pm. The email confirmation from HelloTech indicated I would receive notice when the Tech was on his way. The time arrives, yet I haven't heard anything. So I check online and see he has unilaterally changed my appointment time to 6pm that evening. I had plans so I call to complain and pick another day, but get a text saying those days aren't available and again offering me that evening at 6pm. So I changed my plans to be home at 6pm when he was supposed to arrive. Once again, that time comes and goes, he's a no show, I get ahold of customer service online (bc no one was answering the phone), and I'm told they can't get ahold of the tech, they don't know his status, and if he's a no show after an hour, they'll cancel him. Finally they ask me for new dates. which I provide. On Sunday 11/6/22 I finally receive an email and text saying a Tech (a different Tech) has been assigned and will arrive at 12pm on 11/9/22. 12:30 pm that day arrives, still nothing, so I call, I'm again told they can't get ahold of him so they don't know his status, but if he doesn't arrive after 2 hours (!!!), they will cancel him. Mind you, I have a full time job and I'm taking time out of my workday to be home and free. I get a text an hour after he was supposed to arrive saying the assigned Tech is no longer available and asking for alternate times. I had enough and canceled the service with *******. 1 starHad a service scheduled for yesterday at 5 pm. The tech had texted earlier asking if he could come by at 11:30 (I said no due to work meetings) - so I know he had my number. He never texted saying he was running late so I messaged at 5:15 to see if he was still coming. He ended up 45 min late, very rude on the phone, refused to listen when I said we needed to reschedule because it now interfered with other plans, and even came to my house 10 min after I told him we'd be rescheduling. He walked around our gravel, peeked in the window, knocked, and even tried the door handle. The service line agreed that was horrible and helped reschedule. Except - come to find the next day, they didnt actually reschedule the appointment. Someone on my next service call tried to reschedule, agreed that tech was terrible, told me he was on a blacklist for my orders THEN ASSIGNED HIM AS THE ***** No way. Cancelled my order. I don't need a creep at my house and service people that I can't trust. I spoke with a supervisor who took two hours to provide confirmation that my cancellation was complete and not charged a dime. She did not know the corporate address, who her supervisor was, or how I could contact billing. This place is a joke.Review fromSara N

1 starHello Tech is running a scam with their memberships. They have you sign up for an annual membership, which is then set to autorenew each year. If you don't log in to your account and set it to NOT autorenew, once it renews you can't cancel until the next year. There is absolutely no reason why a person needs to be locked into a year long commitment that charges every month.HelloTech
