Negative stars if I could. Worst customer service ever, a guy or girl you cant understand telling you how they wont help you unless you pay them! Nope, pulled the cord out of the wall and threw it in the trash! Now life runs way smoother. Thanks for being terrible as you have saved me money.

Some years ago, I purchased netgear modem. I figured I would upgrade the product, so I purchased an upgrade late 2021 (?). Due to transitional issues, I was unable to use immediately. I was eventually stabled began using it this year. I had issues and they got worse, so I called netgear customer service. Warranty was expired and so I had to purchase a 6 months service support. I called netgear on 5/13/23 and spoke with ****** who tried to assist with troubleshooting. In the midst of this, the router stopped working. It was working BEFORE I called netgear, albeit not that great. Eventually he said he was taking a break and will call me back. In the interim, I called Xfinity to make sure the problem was not on their end. It was not. He did not call me back within the time he said he would call me, so I called back and spoke with ********* who tried to assist. This took another several hours. He finally declared my equipment was dead. We discussed purchasing another modem, naturally I asked how will netgear compensate for the inconvenience, because it was working BEFORE I called. He said he would place a refund request. We discussed discounts I would receive if I purchased another equipment from the netgear store. He even gave me the ***** CODE: SAVE 50 so I can use. On 6/21/23 I called again, and 'Haggai' had me call the Care Team to speak with them because the case was escalated to that ***** I spoke with ** from the Care Team, who reviewed and told me they could not give me the full refund but can give partial of $76.00. I disagreed with ***** but said ok. I received an email 8/17/23 that the partial request was denied. I was very upset. I called and spoke with *********, who could not help. I called the Care Team and spoke with ***. *** told me that it was two seperate issues, which is why they denied. I explained this was ONE issue with two different case#'s. He grudgingly sent another request, and I learnt today it was DENIED. ZERO stars for NETGEAR.

I have a Netgear router that is a little over two years old. For a little over a year, I was unable to perform a firmware update. I kept thinking that Netgear was going to fix the issue, yet they have not. I was told that Netgear products only had a three-month warranty.I was asked to pay what I call protection money to update the firmware on my router. Not being able to update my router would be similar to owning an iPhone that would no longer update. There is a widespread issue with certain Netgear routers not being able to receive a firmware update. Essentially, my router can no longer be used and it's only a couple of years old.My Netgear router will now be thrown in the garbage can, and i will never purchase another Netgear product again. This is the kind of situation that deserves a class action suit.

Using a Orbi (Netgear) in my previous house, was flawless. Moving to a new house. Nightmare began. Purposely making the old gear from previous address not working, making me pay $99 per year for support and setup. This company need to be closed. Working great at first, then doing the same set up at a new house, not working? A scam? Please investigate.

I purchased a cable modem in June of 2021. I also purchased an extended warranty. The cable modem failed before the end of the 2 year warranty. I contacted the help desk. They attempted trouble shooting and determined the device had failed. They sent a replacement device of the same model. In 2 months, the replacement device failed. They tried trouble shooting but because the former warranty had expired, they would not replace the device. It appears they sent a faulty device to fail within 2 months as soon as the warranty was up.

I recently purchased an Orbi mesh system from Netgear. The Orbi came with an Armor tria(Protection from Phishing, Malware etc..) The trial period expired and I did not renew before it expired. I then get an email from Netgear offering Armor for $2.50/month for a year and then the price would be $99.99 after the first year. I signed up for the $30 amount or so I thought. Netgear charged me $49.99 instead of the $30. Ive been trying to get this resolved since around July 17th. They wanted me to send them screenshots of the email with the $30 offer. They are the ones who sent it. They should have had. Copy of it already. I had to jump through their stupid hoops and be aggravated for several days. I finally get an email from them today stating that I will be receiving a refund for the difference. I was satisfied with that but then I received another email stating my Armor subscription was canceled! I never canceled anything. I just wanted the offer they originally offered me. I would stay away from Netgear if I were you. They have terrible customer service. They apparently like the bait and switch emails. Beware of their tactics.

I paid $50 to get help with my internet because i was out of the 90 day support window (which is ridiculous). Still waiting for their escalation team to call me back. I work from home and they said it could take ***** hours. Insane!

I purchased a new netgear router for nearly $300 and was awesome until it quit working a month later. The router and all other internet equipment was secured with legitimate surge protectors, and the router had quit working a few days after a PO. After fighting with them over this for two months, they finally sent me a new router, but not before they told me they needed my card info to secure the shipment. They sent me the new router and I sent the old one back, they charged ME for shipping on my card!! The new router did not work either! Also, we have proven that it was not my system because we were able to connect an older model netgear router in order to have internet and it works just fine. Then I had to fight with them for another couple of months demanding a refund for the shipping equipment. They absolutely refused to give me a refund, attempting to say that this was my fault and they can't give me a refund. After threatening an attorney and making sure everyone knows my story, they finally agreed to give me a refund. But I told them that I would not be giving them my card information as I don't trust that they won't charge me again again. They confirmed that they would refund, but that I had to send the router back to them and they refused to refund me first. I sent the router back, it was received. Sent emails and made phone calls trying to find out where my refund is and all they have said is, "we cant speak to anyone in our accounting team" we can only email them, but I do see that the request for the refund was sent." FOUR MONTHS AGO and they have completely begun to ignore me. Not only did they accept the equipment, but they have also stolen nearly $300 from me! Thank you, netgear for stealing my money. I hope you lose your business everywhere!
