1 starJuly 2025 Netgear Orbi 771 review I am writing to express my severe dissatisfaction with Netgears company, product and the technical customer support I received. After purchasing a Netgear Orbi 771 for $700 on Black Friday 2024, I was shocked at how quickly the device became unreliable, requiring frequent reboots to function properly. This alone was disappointing for such an expensive product from ************************* first, I made every effort to work with Netgear's technical customer support team, following their recommendations and troubleshooting steps over many months in hopes of resolving the persistent issues. Despite my patience and cooperation, there was no real progress or lasting solution provided. Only after countless attempts and prolonged frustration did I begin requesting a return or replacement for the faulty product. The response I received was: It is not in the company policy.Ultimately, I had to rely on ****** to resolve this issue and return the Orbi 771. I have since replaced it with a TP-Link WiFi 7, which has proven to be a very solid system, at about half the price.Sincerely, If you are considering purchasing a Netgear product, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Based on my experience with both the Orbi 771 and Netgears disappointing customer support, I cannot recommend this company or their products. 1 starI have spent approximately $300 on a wireless netgear router and mesh extenders. I was pressured by the slimy Netgear support people into buying a ****** pro support plan. After a year, when I called to get some help, I was told I needed some new ****** firewall protection in order to get my voip phone working. I was hung up on twice by the rudest people I've ever dealt with. They remind me of copier salesman in the day, other than they are slimier, not a bit charming and border on being criminal scam artists. I was so ticked off that I figured out how to fix the problem myself- the problem they told me could only be addressed by spending $****** for three years of firewall protection. 1 starI reached out to Netgear because all the lights went out on my modem (which was purchased in April of this year) and they tried to ******* money out of me just to get it up and running..this company is a fraud..theyre customer service is terrible and so are their products..I will never buy from them again or recommend anyone else to give them businessI should still be under a 90 day warranty and should be able to get common things done without them asking for money every single time..they are a joke!NETGEAR

1 starI have always liked Netgear products so it was easy to select the Orbi router 7 with three satellites mesh system as an option for my home office. I have Gateway fiber 1 *********** that is compatible with Orbi and have had nothing but issues with connectivity since purchasing the product three months ago. The router would constantly lose coverage and disconnect me from Teams and ********** all the time forcing me to power cycle the device at least five times a week. After trouble shooting multiple times with Netgear Tier 2 support they agreed to RMA the router and send me a new one as it is defective. I could not send back the router and then wait to receive a new one as I am home office and cant afford to be without internet for 7-10 business days. I told the service team that since I have a defective device and cannot be without internet that I would like to return everything for a full refund as I still have the boxes and have been given the run around ever since. We bought another router and mesh system and as soon as I plugged it in everything is working great. Netgear, my case number is ******** if you look it up you can see two orders there. 2 starsPoor customer service.I bought an ****** WiFi Range Extender (EX6110) from ******* and encountered some setup troubles. I contacted online support, and they scheduled a technician call. The technician attempted to install an update for my new extender, but it failed. He informed me that my computer was infested with **** sites, which was causing the update failure. I was given a couple of expensive technical service options, which I declined. The call ended abruptly, without resolving my issue. PS: I returned the device to ******* with no problem.NETGEAR

1 starThis company has continued to close tickets, not respond to emails, text messages, etc. I had to purchase several products because they didn't have the right MAC Address and I had to travel hours away to get replacements. I've worked with MY ISP for hours trying to get their products to work. I've tried to contact the company and nobody knows anything and when I gave **** *.'s name, nobody would transfer me or allow me to talk to her until I mass emailed their company. I have been emailing and no resolutions that fit my frustration have been resolved. They even sent me a refurbished router to fix all of these issues, and once I received it, it was missing parts. How Embarrassing.. I've spent 3+ hours traveling, over 10+ hours emailing, and probably 2+ hours with ISP Support. How can a company fail this bad, for so long.Review fromMadeline W

Their customer service is AWFUL, better hope you don't have any problems with your device after 90 days or they're going to charge you $99 dollars for customer service for ONE YEAR. I will honestly never use their devices again. I have never come across a company that will charge the customer to fix their broken device when it isn't a hardware issue.
