1 starThis company has continued to close tickets, not respond to emails, text messages, etc. I had to purchase several products because they didn't have the right MAC Address and I had to travel hours away to get replacements. I've worked with MY ISP for hours trying to get their products to work. I've tried to contact the company and nobody knows anything and when I gave **** *.'s name, nobody would transfer me or allow me to talk to her until I mass emailed their company. I have been emailing and no resolutions that fit my frustration have been resolved. They even sent me a refurbished router to fix all of these issues, and once I received it, it was missing parts. How Embarrassing.. I've spent 3+ hours traveling, over 10+ hours emailing, and probably 2+ hours with ISP Support. How can a company fail this bad, for so long.Review fromMadeline W

1 starI would honestly this company 0 stars if I could. Their customer service is AWFUL, better hope you don't have any problems with your device after 90 days or they're going to charge you $99 dollars for customer service for ONE YEAR. I will honestly never use their devices again. I have never come across a company that will charge the customer to fix their broken device when it isn't a hardware issue. It isn't my fault the stupid thing broke, so what should I have to pay to fix it???NETGEAR

1 starRun by a bunch of thieves! I purchased a $200 modem on November 1. I had a support case open within a week because it kept losing connection. They strung me along for weeks, asking for one bit of information at a time, until finally agreeing to send a replacement. Well, the second modem was worse than the first! Netgear refuses to refund since it wasn't purchased through their store, but their delays means the return period at the store expired, PLUS the modem I have is no longer the one I originally purchased so it won't match the receipt. Oh, they'll send another replacement... But why in the world would I want that! Trying to deal with them one more time today, 4 different agents dropped me from chat. So, again, this company is run by ******* who are stealing my $200.NETGEAR

I CAN'T return the product to the original retailer because YOU sent a replacement. It's no longer the item I purchased from the store. (As I explained repeatedly while dealing with you non-support team!) You provided me with TWO defective modems. I can't got to the retailer because the modem no longer matches what they sold me. And Netgear won't make it right. I did all the troubleshooting possible with the TWO defective modems - why in the world would I want another crappy modem from you??? 1 starRecently upgraded my internet providers gateway and was having trouble connecting to my Netgear Orbi wi-fi extenders. Called Netgear support to see if they could assist and the representative insisted that I needed to pay for Armor software in order to get it working again. I fortunately knew this was false and told the representative that I wasnt going to buy anything. He continued to insist in spite of me informing him that I work in IT and knew that it wasnt necessary. Eventually had my internet provider come out and make a slight adjustment and everything is working fine. It appears to me that Netgear first line support has been instructed to mislead customers so they pay for unnecessary software. Shame on you!NETGEAR

NETGEAR will never insist to make you purchase security service as customer's have the access to do that on their own will via the Nighthawk and Orbi application. 1 starDeceptive Business Practices on Armor subscription renewal.The reasons I cancelled my Armor Subscription is because I don't like deceptive business practices.1. I received an email that stated that it would renew. I cancelled my subscription the year before. So there was no reason to renew it automatically. 2. The email stated it was the second notice and was sent the day before the company renewed the contract. I checked my emails and there was NO FIRST NOTICE!3. The time that it takes to get a response is ridiculous and that response was never a New Email to review the offer made.4. I should NEVER have had to go through this cancellation process when the subscription was cancelled a year ago. Hence, I could not go into my profile account to stop the process before I was charged. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. All of this is Deceptive Business Practices that need to be addressed. Had this been an honest attempt to send me a renewal notice and I declined, then a 70% offer made, I might have done that. BUT THEY DIDN'T. Had I not checked the website, I would not have known there was a reply. People that don't pay attention to business practices like this will cost them money. And the company will continue to take advantage of these people. Those are the reasons I will think twice when my Mesh Router equipment needs to be replaced in the future.NETGEAR

1 starReturn policy is horrible. Did not open the product until few months after purchase because I did not need immediately and figured after $650 being spent surely it would be ok. I opened it to find multiple issues during setup to where I had to call tech support and was on phone for 3 hours with no solution. I asked for a refund and after almost 2 months of back and forth am told that 30 days return is policy No Exceptions! Not shocked at all that Netgear is not credited with BBB. Poor customer service and handling of customers. They don't care about future business or how their decisions impact your life.NETGEAR

1 starI ordered directly from NETGEAR, on September 10, 2024, an Orbi 770 Series Triband WiFi 7 mesh system 11 Gbps, 3 pack (RBE773). It took a few weeks to get this set up, and it became clear that nothing was connecting to the system via the Orbi satellites. All devices on the WiFi, many close to a satellite, connected back to the router. Many of my devices, because of being on the far side of the router compared to a satellite, had weak signals. After doing all my own trouble shooting, like resetting the system, reinstalling the system, etc., I contacted support on November 27th 2024. Since then, as requested by various support people, I have spent countless hours on the phone, submitted 25 emails and a total of 42 attachments of screenshots of the setup, connection status etc. But no resolution. You get put on hold, passed on, and finally told someone will get back to you, which doesnt happen. BUY NETGEAR AT YOUR PERIL. The system I have certainly doesnt work, and likely very few do. Buyer beware. You cant get (effective) support, you cant get your money back, and you cant get a replacement that works.NETGEAR

I totally reject the concept that one is expected to buy support, when the reason that the period of complimentary support (30 days) has expired is due to Netgear being unable to timeously resolve the issue. Netgear burned up 2 weeks by asking for data, (25 emails with 42 attachments submitted, 8 hours on the phone) and then passing the case to others, who also couldn't resolve the issue. And the person one is passed onto asks for much of the same data that has already been submitted! You are told you will be called back, but nothing. Playing for time - delaying - to try and force people to buy customer support they shouldn't need and don't want, smells like a scam. I ordered directly from NETGEAR, on September 10, 2024, an Orbi 770 Series Triband WiFi 7 mesh system 11 Gbps, 3 pack (RBE773). I contacted support on November 26, 2024. This well within the 30 day for complimentary. support. This gave Netgear 2 weeks to resolve the issue. It's December now 20 and the original problem remains. Why would anyone purchase support when support takes two weeks to accomplish nothing. It is clear it must be a hardware problem. The unit is guaranteed for 1 year. Why would netgear not replace it? 1 starNetgear has a hidden scam within its business. After your first year of having it, your support ends. If you need to reset your Admin password or reset general modem, you are forced to go to Netgear Genie link which has a broken "next" button that multiple customers have complained about. ********************** refuses to fix the button and tells you you have to pay $200 to have tech support help them instead of them fixing their own website. They try to scam you by having a glitched website. I will never buy Netgear again with this hidden scam and poor service. Customers should not be charged for their disfunctional website. ****** searches will show all the customer complaints about the next button not working.NETGEAR

1 starWas having an issue with one tv in our home with the vpn and proxy call net gear for help because spectrum told us it was a net gear issue. Net gear wanted us to pay them for the support I knew it was probably an easy fix. My husband and I are not tech savvy. But I was not going to pay when u can go get a new one instead. So I told my husband lets just unplug it let it set for a few min and it fixed it. So basically thats what they wanted us to pay for Net gear customer service *****.NETGEAR

1 starAccording to multiple reviews, Netgear customer service is often criticized for long wait times, unhelpful representatives, and difficulty resolving issues, with many users reporting frustration with their experience, especially when dealing with complex technical problems or warranty claims; some even consider it to be "poor" or "a scam" due to alleged attempts to upsell extended support plans even when the issue could be easily resolved.
