      This company sent a purged a firmware update that disabled my product. They charged me to speak to someone and still didnt resolve my issue. They will not swap the product out. Just know their equipment is fine, until its not and you will be on your own at that point.

      Netgear Complaint-Current open support case ******** Status 03/17/2023-Have not heard from Netgear since 03/04/2023 Purchased ORBI 960s 11/6/2022 Took a week+ installing with multiple issues > Satellites would not connect to the Router > Router would not connect to the Internet; 10+ attempts/15+ hours Called Netgear 11/20/2022 opened case ********; Updated CASE *************+ DAYS TO RECEIVE REPLACEMENT SATELLITE Installed replacement satellite > IoT accessories error w/Internet not available > HUE BRIDGE would not connect to Internet > ******** BRIDGE would not connect to Internet: BOTH BRIDGES WORKED w/ORBI 50s > Updated firmware Satellite would not connect to the internet Opened case: Case ******** 1/22/2023 Called Netgear support On hold 70+ minutes Explained issue & what I did; Support had me do 6+ resets; Issue NOT RESOLVED. After an hr+Support said Netgear would replace Router. Wanted to return the Orbi 960s due to all the issues > Not able to setup Orbi 960/connect to internet - replaced satellite > 10 days to get replacement satellite > Hue/******************************* not connected to internet > Issue with IoT devices > After firmware update satellite would not connect to Internet > Router rebooted would not connect to Internet > Solution replace Router > 10+ hrs on phone ********* > 30+ hrs working the Orbi 960s The Support person opened: Case Number ******** 1/22/2023 Support person said case to be escalated to ************* w/an email/callback in ***** hrs 01/30/2023 No Call/Email Updated case ******** Requested refund Orbi 960s are not dependable NO FOLLOW UP Updated Case Again: 2023-02-03 - Aske for followup NO FOLLOW UP - Called Support 02/05/2023 Level 2 Support to escalate to the '************* Team' Callback within ***** hours. 54+ hours-No response On 3/4 called Netgear Support: 'He would forward case to a supervisor & the supervisor would call me back with ***** hours'; Requested immediate transfer to a supervisor-THE SUPPORT PERSON HUNG UP ON ME

      This company is out to make money using shoddy products and unethical business practices.I work from home and my internet is my only way to make a living. In January of 2021 my internet went down, Our local internet provider Spectrum was professional in talking me through all their trouble shooting items and finally came to the conclusion that our internet service was fine but the router was not connecting to their equipment. I pay a monthly fee to my provider for cable TV and internet. They did not charge me a fee to assist me for almost thirty minutes. At that time I had to purchase a new router and we bought a Netgear AC1750 router. When I got home and tried to set it up I had to contact their customer service and purchase a one year warranty for $139.99 just to get support to set up the router!Now a little more than a year later I have the same problem. I did not extend my warranty for another year because of my financial situation. When we called Netgear Customer Support today we were told they could not help us unless we renewed the support contract for $139.99!This is not acceptable to purchase a piece of equipment at the end of ********************************************** 2020 and have it break down shortly after the warranty was over.This company is selling poorly made electronic gear then selling a warranty for almost as much as the piece of equipment and then supplies no free support.I will be sure to never do business with this company again and let all my colleagues in our industry know about this companies practices.

      I purchased a Netgear Nighthawk router. I had an old Netgear router for about 7 years with no problem. I tried to hook up the new one exactly like I did the old one but could not get the internet to connect. I call Netgear to help and before they would help install this they told me I had to buy a security package for $139 for 3 years of service in order to be able to use this router. After they had me on the phone for over 4 hours just like majic the internet was connected. All they did was scam me so I have cancelled my credit card so they cannot obtain the money from me. I have seen this same story from alot of people since I have started to do the research on Netgear. I am a senior citizen and not real tech savy. I don't understand how they can let Netgear get away with this unlawful practice.

      Did Netgear send a firmware update to your CAX30 modem router that broke it beyond repair? Did tech support then charge you to "fix" it? File a report with the *** for fraud. Netgear needs to be held accountable for breaking their own equipment and charging to "fix" it for you. This is extortion, plain and simple. REPORT IT!

      Netgear has committed to refund the amount once the modem and router was returned and received. Now, it's been more than 3 months, There has been no movement towards the refund process. Only response I gets from customer service representative is that accounting team is looking into it and we haven't heard back from them. Case # ********.I hope Netgear have some decency to replied to customer review.

      This should have been a simple conversation with netgear customer support. I simply wanted to change our wifi username/password. I had to download this, provide that, blah blah blah just to be told I have had the device for over a year and so I have to pay to be able to do this. Can we be upfront about that? Why make me jump through hoops to tell me that? That my security is 'outdated'. The representatives tone was less than acceptable/sarcastic. I had to ask for prices and it was $120 or $300 for various amount of time. I was never made aware of any of this, I said we do not want either and CLICK, I've been hung up on. I didn't even know this expense existed. I called back to ************ if she usually hangs up on people and she HUNG UP AGAIN. I called to speak with a manager, I am sure they just laughed about it. They asked if I want to purchase the security? NO! I WILL NOT GIVE MY MONEY TO A COMPANY THAT THINKS IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO HANG UP ON A CUSTOMER !! Unprofessional experience.

      Support is _horrendous_. You can find plenty of reviews with it's lack of support. My case is no exception. Their products are mostly fine if you know what you're doing or you don't ever have a problem or have a problem within the first 90 days of owning their products. Otherwise, expect to be ignored.I have one of their *** servers which has been running well for me for years. After a planned upgrade of my storage, the *** server locked down during the update and became completely unresponsive. Trying to get it back up and running, the server is not loading the drives anymore, effectively losing all my data. The disks are new so it's probably an issue with loading so tried contacting support to see what the options are.Website is completely broken so can't self help, tried contacting them through email through unpublished emails (after searching all over) to look for their paid support. Eventually got a response saying they can't help and ask their forums. Their forums say ask for their paid data recovery services from support. Asked support again and now they are not replying at all now. Attempted to contact them on 6 different occasions and not had a response back from any. Not even their staff in the forums.I even asked if their paid support is only if it's within the 90 days... no answers, got automated responses saying they received my request, no response. Unacceptable.

      I've had a netgear nighthawk cax30 for about 1 1/2 years and had good service with it until 2/23/23. I'm assuming someone in netgear land did a firmware update and since then we have no internet. All says it's working signal and so forth but no internet. Talked to both xfinity and netgear and it's been determined it's a netgear issue. After a few calls with Netgear and being treated like an imbecile we will be talking it back to bestbuy and netgear can **** off.
