1 starI think McAfee is not a fair business when it comes to a refund. They contacted me everyday since 4/15/23 about my service request which I have contacted them in return nearly every time saying if I didnt contact them they would close my case as resolved. I was getting emails supposedly from McAfee saying my subscription was expired and I wasnt protected anymore so I bought a new subscription for a year for one device. It was installed remotely by a technical support person, who also told me my old subscription was still active til 9/2/23 and extended that subscription for another year til 9/2/24. After the support person installed the software my laptop ran horrible. Wouldnt load and I couldnt even get my emails. So I uninstalled the McAfee software and my laptop was fine again. I have since been calling to get my refund for the new subscription for $36.81. Which they are trying to tell me since they merged the two subscriptions, I may not get a refund. I did not tell or ask them to merge the two subscriptions.McAfee, LLC

1 starSpoke with Vishal after a charge I never authorized. After asking for a refund, ******, kept trying to sell me discounted options. He would not listen to me at all. For *************************************************************** He would not. If I was ever considering returning, that will never happen. EVER. Dont charge someone without authorization. I never received an email about the renewal or I would have canceled at that time. The only email I got was payment was processed. Will never recommend McAfee. Word of mouth goes along way.McAfee, LLC

1 starI had turned OFF auto renewal on my account because they screwed Me last year. Ended up with $32 for 1 device. They sent a draft to my bank for 5 devices, for $129 and I have cancelled service.McAfee, LLC

1 starMcAfee keeps sending my elderly mother bills to renew service despite being paid ahead for 4-1/2 more years. My mom is 90. At one point, they were paid ahead 7 years. They were requesting payment AND had mom on auto renewal. Mom called and canceled auto renewal but they refuse to refund her for several years of prepaid service. McAfee is a predatory company and its sickening to me that they treat people in their 90s like this. We want a refund.McAfee, LLC

I have been contacted by McAfee. They did do a partial refund of *****. BUT they continue to sent my mother invoices that claim she needs to pay them even though we paid ahead for YEARS. The only response Ive gotten from my last FOUR emails to ***** in customer service is a reply saying she is closing the case. McAfee is just awful. They continue to be predators by soliciting money from my elderly mother.Jennifer H

1 starWhat a scam!! I kept getting emails saying my 2 yr renewal price was $89. When I tried to renew using my PayPal account, which was an option, it wouldn't let me complete the transaction. Called the company and got 'oh sorry, the emails are a mistake, that's only for new customer' even tho my email says RENEW AT THIS RATE. person on the phone was a joke, trying to upsell me something. very, very unhappyMcAfee, LLC

1 starhad cancelled mcafee service 2 years prior when they tried to charge again for paid subscription, then a renewal charge appeared on card recently for a service that had already been cancelled. they get credit card #s and use data to scam charge non customers. called customer service to get resolved and recancelled a subscription that should have already been cancelled. waiting on outcomeReview fromCAROL H

1 starI purchased McAfee in February 2022 for two years and ten computers. I noticed in late 2022 that I could no longer add computers to my account. I called McAfee in December 2022 to complain. I was told the problem was worldwide, that they would get back to me when it was solved, and that they would make my account whole.I called last week (April 2023) to get the status of my problem. The tech wanted to remote into my computer, which I allowed. He concluded that I did not have a subscription. I asked him to check my record to see the original problem. He refused. I asked for a supervisor; he told me he was the highest person I could speak to. He then went on to tell me he would sell me a new subscription for $249. I refused. I told him I wanted him to make my account work; He said he could not help me. I ended the call. He was still logged into my account. He then started to delete files from my computer. I turned off the computer.I called back to speak to a supervisor. They wanted to remote back into my computer. I refused. I told them I no longer trusted them. They opened a case. They then wanted me to pay for a new subscription until they could make my account work. I refused. Do you believe these people?McAfee, LLC

1 starI purchased McAfee in spring of 2022 as it was a decent "starter price" even though I have other security on my computer. I noticed immediately it kept hijacking my browser, so I had to keep going into my settings and changing it over and over again. I decided when my year was up I would not renew it. Today I opened my email and saw they "automatically renewed" it for an entire year at the whopping price of $160. When I called to cancel and asked for a refund and told them I didn't want it anymore, they transferred me to someone else who proceeded to argue with me. I kept saying, "You don't get it: I don't want your service anymore! Please credit my account." He continued to keep arguing with me. I told him I was hanging up and would call my bank to dispute it. I then hung up and called my bank and filed a dispute. This was several days ago, and they still have not issued me a credit even though I have removed McAfee from my computer and got an email from them that said, "Service Request #-######### has been resolved." Nothing was ever resolved!! Please *********** me my money back since I am being charged for the next year for something I am not using, and will never use again!McAfee, LLC

1 starTook ****** out of my account. Tried to get a refund, they lied and told me my refund would be in my account within 3-5 business days. This happened 2x. They lied two different times to me telling me my account was closed and I'd have a refund. They keep giving me the run around every time I call. Couldn't even cancel my account. The customer service representative would not let me. Could hardly get a word in as he was haggling to avoid cancelling my account. Had to change my bank information and couldn't even cancel the account. They lied multiple times and attempted to gain my new bank account information. This is disgusting and a total scam. The service sucked as well. The whole system is set up as a scam and their customer service is designed to support and protect that scam. I will warn everyone I know to delete or cancel their subscription and I will never use this "service" again.McAfee, LLC
