The fake review was being posted by Notcatlady M, **********, ** on 8/5/25. The customer was never being seen or met before from Day 1. It was gang together to discredit our business reputation as we did not comply with their payment scam. Yelp is allowing defamatory, false reviews, all created by one individual who was never my customer to remain on my page for months. The positive reviews I received were removed and the fake review is the only thing people see. I am a new business. On the evening of 8/7/25, I got an email notification from the business 'Yelp' that we had a 'new review' for our veterinary practice, *********************************. I am rejecting this response because: I feel as though this erroneous and laughable review from someone who has not even been to our business was posted to encourage us to engage with the business 'Yelp'. We want nothing to do with Yelp. Many years ago, they offered to 'help' us with our bad reviews if we paid them. This is just another of their desperate antics to get business customers. I feel as though ********************** has violated our constitutional rights. Yelp has published libel against our small business and who knows how many clients have already seen this ridiculous and false accusation against our professional doctors. This also happened years ago where Yelp posted a completely fabricated encounter from someone who had never been to our business before. We seek legal compensation or mitigation from Yelp for libel against our smell business.

I am rejecting this response because: Yelp says that in order to merely respond to the Yelp lie that Yelp solicited from the obviously disturbed individual, Yelp is demanding that I post a picture of myself. This was a post taken from another site and posted to yelp in a desperate attempt to get our business membership back. Not only is this unprofessional, sleazy business, this is a form of extortion. We will not be playing your stupid Yelp games. We will be looking to file a class action law suit against Yelp. Yelp's pathetic responses to my complaints are documented in writing now- proof that you could care less about small businesses in **********. I will be contacting your client who lied about our business another way- not through Yelp. I set up a Yelp for Business account for my business, Prep Bowlz. The account advisor assigned to me added a $300 ad spending credit to my account, and assured me that I would be able to cancel the ad campaign as soon as the $300 had been used so that I would not be charged. However, once the $300 threshold had been reached, my card was charged for $300. All signs of the credit disappeared. I had monitored the balance of the $300 credit to make sure that I was able to cancel before I had reached the limit.After my card had been charged for $300, I notified my bank that the charge was not authorized. Yelp appears to have deleted my Yelp for Business account, as well as my customer facing ********************** page. I have been unable to reach the advisor that "helped" me to set up this account, even though I have called, emailed, and scheduled multiple meetings with him online.Business Response

When we first signed up for a Yelp Advertising campaign the ***resentative told me we would not be charged unless we went over the $300 promotional budget/credit. When we ran out I went to cancel and an offer appeared for another promotion. I called the *** he told me the same conditions applied to the next $300 and we wouldn't be charged. On April 5 with the subject line Yelp Ads purchase confirmation stated: Your free trial of Yelp Ads is now active. After your trial has ended, you will be billed on a recurring basis as detailed above.On May 7 we received an email from Yelp stating:We have approved your request for a bonus budget in the amount of $300.00.This confirmed that a $300 promotional credit had been applied to our account. Based on those communications and the guidance received from our Yelp ***resentativewho assured us our card would not be charged unless we chose to continue beyond the trialwe understood that our credit card would not be billed unless we resumed advertising after exhausting the $300 credit.Out of caution, we canceled our campaign before the last promotional credit was used up. Yet, our card was still charged. This contradicts both the ***resentatives explanation and the written terms we received, creating confusion and an unexpected charge. YELP does not email you letting you know when you will be charged, or if you are running out of budget, nor any details about the actual expected costs.
