Just Answer promised to remove a charge from my cc (which they did one time) and promised to cancel the account (inadvertently/accidentally joined). One moth later the chargers reappeared. Theres no response to online chat, emails or phone calls to remove the added charges. I want the charges removed and no future charges added.Business Response

I received a text stating that my phone had been disconnected for non payment and my phone no longer worked. I got on the computer thinking that I was connecting to ******* to resolve the problem. I have been charged $46 for something I did not agree to. I filed a fraud complaint with my bank and the ***** was put back in to my account. The same day I was refunded the $46, I was again charged for the $46. I was not told about signing up for an on going subscription and I want a refund and cancellation of the subscription I did not agree to.Business Response

Then they ask for a dollar to be charged on a card to verify identity. Then I guess someplace in somewhere they say I agreed to some other charge of $34 for a membership. April 28th 2024 I responded to a service online called "just answer" , I agreed to a 2$ fee to have a marine mechanic? answer a simple question , I did not authorize or agree to sign up for some membership , but to my surprise was charged an additional 49.00$ by "just answer" I believe this was for a monthly membership charge , which like I said I did not authorize and did not want , if I had known I would be charged 51 $ in total to answer a question , I would never have agreed to this , the answer to my question was also wrong and of zero use to me , the "just answer" site and advertisement is blatantly misleading , after being fed some story about , this service being only 2$ then they reach in and grab another 49$ without consent from me the customer is fraudulent , misleading and should not be allowed , if "just answer" had been upfront and honest with their service instead of a surprise money grab after the customer thinks they are being honest and charging just the 2$ they advertise , I may have used this service again , but by using these deceitful tactics to wrongly charge an unsuspecting customer a hidden fee , 25 times the price they advertise , has caused me the hassle and inconvenience of cancelling my credit card , and having to be reissued a new card because I don't want a company having my credit info being that they resort to unlawful b.s tricks to fleece a customer for a fee never spoken of until its already been taken off the customers credit card , this is deceitful, wrong , and because of the tactics used I will not consider ever using "just answer" againBusiness Response

I was intentionally misled by the website/ app for justanswer.com you where can ask a medical question. Specifically told it was $1 , I have screenshots that say just $1 to get your answer and its totally refundable if you arent satisfied. Then you create an account then they connect you with a doctor to answer your question. Fine $1 Ill do it. The problem is I then had a $46 charge to my account, they didnt say $1 and a $46 monthly subscription fee. And after you fill the form to create an account the agent says Im going redirect you to a secure page they redirect you so you never really get to scroll down to the bottom of the page where the terms and agreements are. They redirect to the other site quickly.all Apparently somewhere not visible are the terms and agreements. Its very intentionally misleading. Especially for people who really need medical questions answered. They are preying on the weak and vulnerable. I was in a state of panic because I accidentally took a double dose of medicine and I needed an answer to see if I needed to go to the *** Tried chatting with agent and said he wouldnt refund my $46. He gave me a bogus email ********************* which apparently doesnt exist. I could not access it. I just want my $46 refund, they can keep the dollar I was told to pay .Business Response

I have a screen shot from JustAnswer stating I could pay $5. (fully refundable) to engage in a question with a legal expert. The call was terrible and I did not get anything out of it. Then I find I was billed an additional $60. Their response after I reached out, 'I didn't read the fine print'. The fine print was not in the screen shot with the $5. offer. This company is a scam and should be forbidden to do business. I tried to resolve nicely with their customer service team and I was passed off three times then disconnected. So, all i was trying to do was find out what i needed to do to upgrade my **************** for Mac software. ********* online "bot" eventually directed me to pay a $1 "join" fee with "Just Answer" a 3rd-party customer service outfit. However, it turned out i was charged the $1 "join" fee AND a $55 membership fee as well. I did use the service to eventually get my answer but when I found out my credit card had been charged an additional $55 complained to Just Answer and was told I could cancel my 5-hour membership and they would not charge me another $55 in the next billing cycle!! I told them this was collaborative extortion and they said they regretted the confusion on my part. I did offer to pay them $10 for the minimal help i did get, but they simply repeated their regret for my stupidity. I told them I hope they found this method for making money "rewarding".Business Response

I called them on April 12 2024 to ask a question about my treadmill. The answer was to disconnect the hydraulic part and not be able to use the folding mechanism again. It didn't fix the problem of the treadmill not lowering correctly. I Paid a $40. Monthly membership plus $2.00 for the question. I canceled membership on May 5, got a confirmation, then they took another $40. When I questioned this they responded that I had signed up and they cant refund. I responded that they didn't prorated the April charge so my membership should run from April 12 to May 11 and therfore I canceled in time for no May charge. They then responded that they will get someone else to answer my original question. I am not interested in that, I don't want to pay the May fee as I am not using this service again. I have the emails if needed. I am not happy with the $42. But I did sign up for that, but I don't think that I should pay the additional fee. Thank youBusiness Response
