I used JustAnwer's website once on 5/9/2024 to get some tax advice. The website showed a $1 charge. It did not say anything about a monthly charge. I was then charged the $1 plus $45 to my credit card. I thought $45 was a fair price for the service, and have no problem with that fee. However, there was nothing stated about signing up for a membership or monthly membership fees. Now, on 6/9/2024 an additional $45 has been charged to my credit card. I did not authorize this charge and contacted JustAnswer via chat. I explained this charge was unauthorized. The consultant posted the membership form for me to complete while I waited for the Computer Technician to connect to the chat. Obviously, I did not complete the membership form and the chat was disconnected. To resolve this issue I would like the unauthorized $45 charge on 6/9/2024 to be canceled or credited back to my credit card. In addition, since I have not signed up for a membership, nor requested any additional services, I would expect to see no additional charges in the future.Business Response

We've cancelled your most recent payment. Your payment is showing as 'reversed' on our end. This means that we were able to cancel the transaction before the funds left your account. When this happens the charge will just disappear from your account because it was never finalized.
We've also refunded the other membership charge. The funds are made available to your bank the next business day, however, the bank may take 3-5 business days to release the funds back to your account depending on their policy.

I was on the site for some answers. I was told that I will need to pay $2 to proceed with th question. But, I was charged for $2 and $66 in couple of seconds. I was never informed or told of the membership fees. This was a complete waste of time and money. I cancelled the subscription but I did not receive a refund of the $66 charge. I've used just answer before, because I did not have time to ****** my own answers, I knew they charged a monthly fee. This go-a-round I decided to just ask my 1 $5.00 question, but the lawyer never came, so I asked for my money back. This was a week ago. The lawyer texted 2 days ago asking a bunch of questions, I'm thinking nothing of it, since I'm in contact with a couple other legit lawyers. I then check my account yesterday and see a $46.00 charge pending. I called my back told them this is a fraud charge, so they are keeping an eye on it.This morning "***********************" there AI emailed me saying she can get me a refund for a "tip" paid through pay pal.I told her no, and that she was a sink person for taking advantage of me and my child who are in a D.V. situation.Watch out all it's all a big scamBusiness Response

On average, a question that is asked on JustAnswer receives a response in 10 minutes, and in most cases, it is faster than that. However, there are times when responses can be delayed. Things like the time of day that the question was posted, and the number of Experts available in the category will play a part. The amount of complexity within the question, and the time it takes for an Expert to author a response also have an impact.

Upon entering a question on our website, a customer is directed to a payment screen that details a one-time fee as well as a membership fee., which in your case is $5 and $43, respectively. This enables you to use our services whenever you need until the end of membership. Since you used Apple Pay, the fees were combined as one transaction. During the checkout process, we do notify you that the fees will be combined on your statement. We apologize if that caused you concern.

I went online last month to get help with a computer question. This business said that I could get help for $1.00. Then, just a few statements later, they asked if I wanted to get more help for $35.00. At that point, I clicked off and thought I was finished with them.
