We were on vacation and out of state when our dog broke out in a bad rash. My wife signed up and paid the 5 dollar fee then was also charged 65 more dollars and waited for hours on a vet to call that never happened.Business Response

Just Answer is the business in question. They advertised that for $5 I could answer a question re. ****. Next thing I know, they charged me a $46 membership fee that was not disclosed when I signed up today. I see on the Internet that this company is a scam and many other people were charged these hidden fees. I want them to refund the charge for this month.Business Response

On 7/24 I initiated a Just Answer transaction. I was seeking an answer to a question about my home blood pressure unit. I thought I was paying $5 for that answer but then learned Just Answer ran my card for $65 first month's membership. I was more upset with the crappy expert's answer I received about my blood pressure unit. It wasn't worth the time and $5. I then complained about the crappy / non answer and asked for a refund. They obliged and sent me a confirmation email on the 24th. They claimed my credit card would be refunded the $65. Not only did I never receive that refund, they went ahead a charged me another $65 on 8/27.Business Response

I reached out to this company for the answer to one legal question. They made me sign up for a monthly subscription but told me I could cancel at any time. I paid for my question and then canceled my account. They continue to charge me and won't call me back when I leave message and ask to have my account canceled numerous times in chat sessions. My credit card company is trying to help but I need this company to stop fraudenteley charging me and I truly hope I can stop this from happening to anyone else.Business Response

I was having an issue about my generator not starting and contacted Just Answer for help from a technician. There was a $5.00 membership fee, which I was willing to pay. I didn't hear from the technician until 3:21 am, my time. When I contacted him at a more reasonable time, I told him that we had resolved the issue. He didn't answer a single question, yet I was charged $55.00. When I called Just Answer, they said that I didn't qualify for a refund. Had the technician helped me at all, I can see having to pay their fee, but he didn't help me in any way.Business Response

On 8-12-25 I used their legal services. I understood that I would be charged a $5.00 fee . When I receive my bank statement I saw that I was being charged an additional $45.00 unauthorized fee on the same date .I've tried numerous times to get the company to reimburse me for this overcharge. Every time I would try no matter how or how many times I asked them not to they would try to get me to pay additionally just to rectify their error . I didn't care if it was refundable or not and still don't . The same thing happened when I tried several times to remove myself from their contacts to close the matter .Business Response

The date of the transaction was Sept. 7, 2025. It was posted to my bank account on Sept. 8, 2025. I went on a website that was called JustAnswer. com. I wanted to find the website for the **********************. The website had posted that there may be a $5.00 charge but when I checked my bank account, it had posted as $65.00. I called them to tell them it was a mistake, that I just was trying to find out about the website, but he said that they could not refund the money that it was for a membership. I told them that I did not want a membership that it was a mistake that I made getting on their website but he would not listen and he hung up on me.Business Response

I searched for help with a Spectrum router online. I thought I was dealing with Spectrum. As Chat conversation proceeded I thought a contractor. Then they asked for $5 so I realized separate company. They promptly solved my problem but then charged $5 AND $48. When I enquired they said I had agreed to it. I have asked for a refund but they say I agreed to it. I used Just Answer one time in June 2025 and found the site completely unhelpful. I thought I had signed up for a free trial, but was charged $59. I then complain and thought it was resolved. On Sept 8, we were billed $99.99. I have disputed this with ******. I cannot cancel my card because I am traveling until mid-September. This appears to be a Lithuanian Innodiet. I googled a question online and got an answer from **************************. I paid a small fee for this answer not knowing it automatically signed me up for a monthly subscription. I never received a signed up subscription email. I noticed charges on my **************** for 2 months of $43 each. I called customer care and was told by a chatbot that its in the fine print when I received my answer. My small fee for the answer also serves as agreement to join. This is an outrageous deception.
