My account was suspended for "child safety", I have had no prior warning or suspension before this occurrence which makes this especially confusing for me. I was given no evidence of me breaking any guidelines and when appealed is was still provided no evidence. I have had this account for roughly two years and is how I keep connected with most of my friends so the suspension of my account is upsetting and just annoying in general. While I have gotten relatively swift responses one was from a bot that I doubt actually investigated my account.Business Response

May 2025. Summary of problem is "After receiving an email from discord with an unverified claim that I was selling digital products without written permission. THIS IS COMPLETELY FALSE, and I emailed them back immediately with proof of their digital product owners written permission. The digital owner is a partner in my discord channel. After I emailed them proof, Discord emailed me back with a completely different explanation. Weve lost thousands of dollars, and our reputation has been severely damaged overnight. My first reply was an appeal via their online appeal submission form. No one replied back to me. I sent a second appeal, to which they replied. Here is my appeal submission WITH the permission statement from the owner of the digital products we sell. Here is their follow up reply. With a completely different accusation. They have made a massive mistake and I believe they accepted a false claim. I have not received any words back from them since this last communication. For reference to the amount of money I have lost due to this false claim and error on their part, is thousands of dollars! See attachment for screen shots. There is NO REASON at all for them to have done this to me! I am rejecting this response because: I emailed customer support, named ***, back with my formal appeal complaint and request for both a refund of the money lost and for my server monetization status to be resolved. As stated in the email and the document I have attached to this complaint, I should email *** back to resolve the issue. Discord does not answer their appeal submissions in a timely manner, and when discord does finally respond, its with a vague and inaccurate answer or a reference to a link on their site that goes into articles I have reviewed already. This is why we are now discussing "next steps" here in this format. I have outlined everything needed for you to make a formal decision regarding the restoration of monetization of my account and the compensation of the money I have lost due to your lack of verification. I am filing this complaint regarding a wrongful account termination by Discord, which has severely disrupted my access to their platform and affected my business communications and the servers I run within it On June 23, 2025, I received two strikes from Discord for alleged Child Safety violations. The first strike occurred at 11:37 AM PST, followed by a second strike at 12:15 PM PST, which is just 38 minutes later. Soon after, my account was permanently banned.These accusations are completely false. I have used Discord since ***************************************** 2020 and was simply engaging in regular everyday activity when this occurred. I believe someone maliciously reported my account in order to get it banned.I submitted an appeal using Discords official form, but I never received any automated confirmation email, which typically follows a submission. This strongly suggests that my appeal was not properly processed or received. Despite the seriousness of the situation, I have not been given any evidence of wrongdoing nor an opportunity to explain my side.I am requesting that Discord perform a manual human review of my case. I cannot afford to wait days or weeks for an automated system to potentially ignore or mishandle my appeal. I am filing a formal complaint against Discord ***** located at **********************************************************************************************************************************I have lost access to my Discord account due to the accidental deletion of my 2FA authentication app. I no longer have my backup codes either. I submitted a support request (ticket #********) explaining the situation, and was shocked to receive a response stating that the only option is to permanently delete my account.This is not an acceptable solution. I am still in control of the email address associated with the account and can verify my identity in other ******* Discord account contains important data, including personal communications, project files, and information tied to ongoing work. The ticket has not been resolved. Telling people that there is nothing to be done and that the Discord account should be deleted is extremely shameful. I contacted the BBB because I thought you were going to solve my problem, but no, you replied that you had solved it, telling me to delete my account and create a new one. Frankly, you deserve legal action. Imagine: a personal project was saved on Discord? Or important files. And it is 90% certain that the message was sent by a bot. I no longer trust you. I don't know of any service in the world, which tells the user: we can't do anything, sort it out yourself

On 6/22/25 I was falsely banned for a "child safety" violation after reporting a user in private messages that was talking about contacting children. I believe this user falsely reported me after I stopped responding to them. The user originally only seemed interested in sharing images of themselves. I submitted a request for review at the page that describes my ban, but have received no response.I've been actively using my Discord account since 2016. As far as I'm aware, there has never been any sort of violation on my account and I was shocked to see my own account banned yesterday morning, especially after sending what was likely my first ever report on the platform.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
It answers nothing about my complaint, directly focusing on the word ban and nothing more. My complaint also focused on asking for information on why my account had been terminated. The email did not specify anything beyond the policy they claim was violated. I do not know what exact action prompted my ban, and discord's support page is incredibly uncooperative to use with features regularly and concerningly failing to function, from making new tickets, to something as simple as changing the language on the page.
Trying to go through discord to learn if my account had been reported, autonomously hit by their notoriously unreliable ai moderation (research indicates it has a success rate of only 45% and yet they insist there are never false positives.), or any information at all. The bulk of my complaint is seeking information as to the specific action I had performed to warrant my ban in the first place. Discord's AI moderation and automatic responses to any form of ticket fail to satisfactorily answer any questions I pose. They only read keywords such as "ban" or "account" and immediately deny the ticket with a single sentence response. Attempting to follow up any ticket only yields it being closed without any feedback almost immediately. Never once have I successfully reached a human member of their support team, and I am truthfully beginning to question if they have any humans employed to begin with.
Every single attempt I make to get some form of information or an appeal is met with frustratingly robotic non answers. Sure, I may seek a specific resolution but at this point I just want information from a human being and to learn why my account of ten plus years has been banned, and not simply be told that it was "a violation of TOS". Surely they know the exact reason why, be it a post, image, a malicious report, whatever form of data it is, I am certain they have access to it.

I am rejecting this response because:There has been no attempt to prove what violation I have committed against the **** nor any screenshots showing what message even violated this to begin with. I have yet to connect with a real person about this issue and have gotten this same response over and over from my tickets. As I had mentioned in one of the tickets, my discord account contains major evidence I was going over with my lawyer concerning a court case I am filing against someone who used your platform to harass me to the point of calling the police on me and to this day is still harassing me. I have reason to believe that this person is who reported my account falsely to begin with as both revenge and hampering me from collecting evidence.
As such, I will likely have to open a case with discord specifically if my account is not unsuspended.
