This complaint is being filed because I was falsely suspended by Discord off of their platform.I haven't done anything wrong, and I believe my suspension should be lifted and my account reinstated.This suspension had occurred in August 2025.I tried making multiple tickets with discord support, but I havent gotten a single reply from a real human back.These were usually automated responses , without someone actually looking at the ticket or taking any ********** here is the explanation:I got falsely banned on my Discord account [*****] for "child endangerment", my account ive had for years is indefinitely disabled. It is a misunderstanding; someone spammed a child sexual exploitation image and a GIF with disturbing ****, in a server, and i copied the MESSAGE (not image) links, and posted them AFTER the person's messages were deleted. But the same person reported me to get me banned, while he went away **** free as he used an alternate account to spam the images. The person's main accounts are daniykwim and bruvce, and he lives in ******, ******. I am rejecting this response because: The same user who sent the child **** and **** mass reported me when I linked HIS messages so that they could be reported. If you wanna check, I was literally a moderator of the server. The user who spammed child **** + **** and mass reported me is a known repeat offender and mass reports everyone.
I used Discord for a long time, supported them, bought Nitro, and more, and I am more than willing to support you more in the future if you took the time to reconsider my ban. Instead of banning me for calling out a predator, you should investigate and take action on the predator himself, he keeps wreaking havoc further without consequences.

My account was falsely permanently suspended by Discord after 3 insanely false strikes on my account were made, and said to be violating the "child safety policy". After reading the policy myself it's abundantly clear the content of my messages provided as evidence in these strikes didn't violate the policy at all... Their automatic moderation is so easily abused and I was banned for messages that I put in my own server that I run professionally. Trying to go through their support is only met with instant automatic responses that immediately mark your case as "solved" without ever actually investigating the problem, while if any human actually looked at my case they would see how blatantly wrong these violations were and that they were probably apart of a mass report attack against my account (I received an extra violation while my account was already permanently suspended). I use Discord professionally for game development and own servers that hold analytic data for my games, and I have an on-going year long Nitro subscription that has only been in effect for less than 5 months and now I have completely lost access to it... There should be a way to get someone real to review appeals cases in situation like this because the automatic moderation makes so many mistakes and their automatic responses to support tickets give no option for customers to get a real human to look at their case.Business Response

How Adults Should Avoid Violating These Policies

- My first violation (seen in the first attachment) did not post about sexualizing, grooming, or abusing children AT ALL and was a statement on how early **** exposure as a kid was terrible for you. My second violation was a SELF-CONTRADICTING sarcastic comment when someone was falsely accusing me of being a ********* but also making fun of the fact that my girlfriend at the time was older than me (I was 20 and she was 23), which not only was made in defense of myself and clearly illustrates that I am not a *********, but this message also has nothing to do about sexualizing, grooming, or abusing children. To misconstrue this message this way and have it be placed as a violation on my account is insane. The third violation didn't violate this rule either, where I made an otherwise innocently sarcastic response about two well-known pedophiles becoming friends again, meant as a DISS against the pedophiles in question, where this message also doesn't say anything about sexualizing, grooming, or abusing children, like the rest of my messages. If this rule can be extrapolated this extremely to make EVERY instance of saying the word "pedophile" bannable, then please document that in your policy.
3. Do not send or ask for sexual content from anyone under the age of 18
- My messages did not send or ask for any sexual content whatsoever
4. If you run a server and allow sexual content, make sure that you restrict access to any channel that contains sexually explicit adult content with an age gate
- I don't run a server that allows any sexual content and my messages don't show this either
5. Do not try to take action regarding content or users that you suspect of engaging in violative behavior towards minors

6. If you are not sure whether a piece of content might violate these policies, dont post it, share it or otherwise interact with it, other than to report it to Discord

The rest of the policy applies to underage users, which I was not moderated for and was not apart of. It is abundantly clear this was an automated moderation MISTAKE, and any real support agent knowing Discord's own policies would see this and lift the violations and punishment off of my account, as it is evident they do not violate any of Discord's policies. I am convinced they handle their BBB responses automatically as well, which is extremely unprofessional and reflects on Discord's terrible moderation handling on their end. They are more concerned with falsely upkeeping their image of dealing with predators than they are targeting REAL predators and not blanket banning innocent users. This is such gross negligence of their userbase and only designed to serve their public image, so they can falsely claim statistics on banning users who put children at risk, when really they are padding them with false bans on innocent users.Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: My Id is #******** and the message is: Hello, my account has been permanently suspended as of 7/16/25 due to a false child safety ban after my messages had been spam reported by a suspected abuser and her friend.My account has been banned for 2 messages, one being making a joke (with no insult or any harm intended or done and I later did say it was a joke) and second, was me apologizing. (Dont know why an apology deserves a ban)To explain this situation, I was friends with the user for over a year. And we ran into a little argument. And they blocked me for about a couple days and when they unblocked me I'd apologize. And they would throw a slur and block me again. And this kept happening until she and her friend and a coupe other guys mass reported me. as such abused your zero tolerance for any message that's been reported for child safety and I was automatically banned by your Al without any actual check to confirm if the message was ACTUALLY violating your child safety rules...While, this may not contribute to this case I would like to mention that I have been a loyal discord user for some time now, and I have even filed mass reports about underage users and cp being on the platform, resulting in many users and servers being taken down for violating the ToS. I have not broken your ************** Guidelines, and have always abided by your rules.I do not consent to an Al responding to this ticket, and I would like a human, real person, actual discord employee representative to review my ticket so they can plainly see through my message logs that I have done nothing wrong. I own a number of discord servers related to my business, and use it as convenient communications platform to organize events associated with it. I was recently had my computer hacked and a large amount of login information compromised in the process. I won't get into details here, but to my knowledge it has been handled to the best extent of my abilities. I was made aware of it due to my discord account repeatedly blocking my friend who's more familiar with cybersecurity as I was communicating to them. This lead to me securing my account using the security tools provided by discord. Overall, I am entirely satisfied with the security tools provided.What I haven't been satisfied with is my subsequent interaction with support. Before I had everything resecured, the hacker attempted to impersonate me using my own account to ********************** support. I was able to resecure and then sent a exasperated message explaining the situation, and then moved on to trying to make sure everyone was aware of what happened, before moving onto secure other accounts online. For the next 4 days, everything was fine with discord. On September 3rd, I awoke to a message from support requesting I send them an email from the associated email on the account. I complied, and later discovered that discord's login services claimed there was no longer an account associated with that email. Over the course of my support journey for the past 6 days, that request was the first of the only two communications I've received. I have had multiple tickets closed and marked as solved without any sort of reply whatsoever. When I finally got one, I was told that I needed to use the original email the account was associated with, and that I wasn't using the right one. This ticket, after I explained this, was closed without further reply. I've had my account since 2015, and have used that email for the account since that very day. I am rejecting this response because:This ticket is only the tip of the iceberg. There are so many more filed under the main account I've been communicating on. The only reason I needed that account was because of the absurd methods of confirmation this system requires.
Although I understand the issue of high ticket volume impeding service, the problem I have is the repeated marking of tickets as solved issues without any communication. Slow responses are one thing, but repeatedly pushing every ticket I make under the rug without addressing the issue is absurd. I am plenty willing to be patient, and I understand the nature of this issue takes time to address. I am willing to be patient in spite of the fact that my friends, the people I work with, and the community I manage are at risk. But with limited people and high ticket volume, there is only so much time to get things done.
However, I refuse to believe tickets are being handled properly despite the issues. The fact that I, as an active paying subscriber, cannot have my account returned to me in these circumstances, and am repeatedly ignored despite expressing my willingness to cooperate in the only two actual pieces of contact I have received... That is absurd. If it were a week of slow progress, fine. But it has been a week of your support's constant marking of tickets as completed when they clearly aren't. No additional communication.
The only two responses I've received were asking me to reply using my original email. I did so, and then it took more dealing with these closed tickets and flawed support for someone to tell me that it's wrong. When I have the original confirmation email still on the same account. And then *that* ticket was closed too. I feel strongly that this issue could've been resolved in a more timely manner if all the people simply marking my ticket as resolved causing me to continue having to make additional tickets due to a continued lack of access, which I imagine only continues contributing to the high ticket load.
I'm sorry to be putting additional pressure on when there is already a high load. But I refuse to believe that things are being handled properly. Every company may have their own system to handle support, but this simply reaks of some kind of requirements putting unnecessary pressure on your support team, preventing them from being able to do their job in an efficient manner simply to reach some arbitrary quota. High load and slow responses are only a valid excuse in situations where tickets actually make progress towards being resolved, and not get stuck in a revolving door causing the same tickets to keep clogging the system over and over again.
I've already been hacked, I have had to contact so many companies in all kinds of different sectors in order to resecure my accounts. I have dealt with so many support teams and different expectations over the years, for a variety of issues. I've experienced plenty of different processes and response times during this situation, and I know not to blame the support teams responsible. I find the attempt to handwaved this away as simply issues of ticket volume insulting. Your team deserves better than this failure of management.

I am rejecting this response because:I've been trying to explain there is something wrong to support. Even when contacting with the original email, I have been repeatedly told it's the wrong email in what is now the only 3 communications I've received and not giving me any other options than making a new ticket. No one is willing to investigate the situation. I have 2FA, I have a phone number associated with the account, and once again, I am an active paying subscriber. I have used the same email on that account for 10 years. I have contact with discord going to that email for as long as I've had it. I have email receipts, I have policy change notifications, I have an email confirmation for the accoint. For it to say that that email is no longer associated after I secured my own account, using the tools your company officially provides, before I suddenly lost access when talking with support, and now everyone is saying that email is no longer the original email? That just doesn't sound right.
It sounds like something went wrong somewhere, and everyone is so busy repeatedly just telling me that my email is not the original email that no one can be bothered to actually look into the situation. The email associated with this BBB contact is not the email I am referencing. That ticket and this email were my efforts to see if for some reason support was disregarding me as the email was the same as the compromised account, but that was clearly not the case. I nearly completely lost the original email associated with the account due to the hacker who compromised my discord in the first place. I was luckily able to quickly recover it. From my experience so far, it appears that anyone else in my shoes who hadn't had been as fortunate, and wasn't subject to whatever weird error is causing my email to not be recognized, would have just had a hacker be given the keys to the kingdom by your own support logic. Your support policies are stuck on requiring an original email contact that in the event anything goes wrong would seem to allow for a cascading sequence of compromised accounts to keep building up.
Your security policies are atrocious, and it is no wonder your support team is currently overwhelmed when whatever rules and systems you have in place are so underdeveloped and made with such a complete lack of care. I would love to be able to leave them alone so they could move on from having to deal with the same exact issue, saying the same things in a loop before closing my tickets, but the longer my account is compromised, the more damage could be potentially done.
Again, slow contact is fine, especially when overwhelmed, but I have not been given any proof that progress is being made on this issue, and am instead seeing the same issues over and over again. While I would like my account back, I feel strongly that this experience with support is indicative of greater issues than anything just involving me. There needs to be serious quality assessments on how your support and security is handled, and I don't mean something that is just there to stress out the employees, I mean something that does a proper assessment of the structure of how you handle these things.
I'm sure this concern is going to just be dismissed, and even if it wasn't I'd hope change would be slow to be done right. But I sincerely hope that at some point things improve.

Hello, unfortunately as of today (Monday 8th of September 2025) my account was completely suspended due to activity in a server I was in. According to Discord, the server was banned for violent extremism however I do not agree with hate or extremism of any kind, and rarely messaged inside of this server. It is sad that instead of targeting the legitimate perpetrators, those who are not involved are getting dragged down as well. I find this method of problem solving to be incredibly insulting, as I was not aware of the nature of this server, and have consistently purchased goods through the Discord app. Furthermore, Discord allows me to stay connected with friends and family, and taking that opportunity away from me for something I did not do it not right. Ideally, I would like for this account violation to be removed as I was not involved in anything violent or extremist, and was only in the server for the custom emojis that they offer. My primary Discord account was permanently banned for malicious conduct without any clear evidence or explanation.Previously, my account had been restricted for 7 days. Recently as a punishment, my discord account was disabled. The reason was spam and/or platform abuse. The real reason, and in my point of view is whenever I message someone on discord on the app or even the website on my **, whether its a new message or an existing one, it logs me out and requires a password reset or limits my chat access. It also ALWAYS asks for a verification. If I get the verification slightly wrong or even correct, I get logged out. This isntan issue in the mobile app though, just in the ** app and web. This is extremely annoying and I got a false account disabled because of this issue.Ive contacted discord, and its been 5 days with no response.
