1 starI used Instant Checkmate one time to compare results from another service. I made absolutely sure to use the "one time" service, and not apply for recurring or continued usage.Checking my card charges, I see that Instant Checkmate automatically signed me up for ongoing service, with a monthly charge!!Customer service refunded the second month charge. But the first month charge is MORE than the advertised charge for a "one time" search.That is fraud and theft. I just called to cancel, let's see if they honor the request and cancel as their customer service personnel said!

1 starFalse advertisement: I went to this website to find Military Records for my mother in laws deceased husband, paid $31.00 for this membership and they did not provide military records. I called and the representative stated they do not provide those records and I explained to her that their website indicated they did. She asked me for a screenshot of their web page and email their "support" office. I was able to cancel my membership, and thankfully, I am awaiting the refund.Instant Checkmate

1 starCharged my account 4x in 2 months out of the blue. Called them to fix it and get my money back/reimbursed for fraudulent charges. Was put on hold EIGHT TIMES even after I gave them invoice #, transaction ID, $$.$$ charged, and all information they asked for. They could not locate my email or any charges that had occurred. They could only locate my cancellation from 2018, which was from same email, btw. They took my phone #, my email, and told me they would escalate and I would hear from them in no less than ***** hours. Its been 5 days. No word. I also tried to cancel per the directions on their site before my charges went thru or before I get charged falsely again, and the site locked up making it impossible to cancel online. So I called them and cancelled and attempted tp cancel online per their instructions and no luck. I recall it took forever to cancel in 2018, so why would I be opening up another account and why werent they able to find me when I talked to them in person. EIGHT TIMES BEING PUT ON HOLD IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!! And still dont have my 4 charges fraudulently taken from my bank account reversed. They did not seem inclined to be very helpful over phone. Felt very m7ch like a scam business only interested in STALLING. Felt like they were waiting for my phone to disconnect so I would get tired of waiting and tell them to forget about it. NOT A CHANCE. 1 starThe service provided was very mediocre but thats not the issue. I tried the service for a total of $3.99 and cancelled the same day. I was so disappointed with their service ( already new everything they spit out) that i immediately cancelled the service by email and Instant Checkmate replied the service was cancelled. Much to my disappointment and anger i see as of 2-22-24 they not only didn't cancel but they have now charged my card twice an amount of **** Jan 3 and Feb 2 ****. The original agreed upon amount was $3.99 for this garbage I already knew. When I called they stated I signed up for an ongoing monthly service which I absolutely did NOT DO and would not have done for this garbage. They are a bait and switch organization that uses only public data bases and they switch you to a monthly without your knowledge.Instant Checkmate

This website gave my stalkers all of mine and my close relatives our addresses, contact info by a simple ****** search result without even going to the website. It has jeopardizes mine and my families safety and well being. This site should be illegal. It empowers stalkers and identity theft scammers and it makes it super easy for them to get your information but the site owner makes it extremely difficult and exploitative to remove yours and your families info. 1 starThis is the worst company I have ever delt with on getting back ground checks, not only that half the information that they give you is not correct, we didn't hire a person at first because of the information that instant checkmate provided, but after that person provided us with a true criminal background check that was done through the local highway patrol ofc. The information was not the same and we hired them but stopped using instant checkmate. To all companies you are better off getting a NCIC background check from your local police ofc. it only costs ****. Then you are going to have to figure out how to keep instant checkmate from emailing you all f___king day. I even call their customer care line an asked this Guy name ****, to stop the emails because the didn't have a unsubscribe bar on their site. 3 weeks a bad report and waste money can somebody please tell me why I'm still receiving emails from these people.Instant Checkmate
