1 starI requested to have my information removed from the Instant Checkmate website by following the relevant prompts and links directly from their site. I received an email from them telling me my email could not be verified so there was no information to be removed. My name, address, and other information is listed on their site regardless of whether my they were able to verify my email so I sent them a follow up email asking for my information to be removed. I have not heard back from them yet, but I am not comfortable having my personal address, phone number, and any other information regarding me available on their website due to a unwanted encounter I had with an individual who I have not seen or spoken to in years. This encounter was uncomfortable and has me worried about my safety in the future. Websites like this put domestic abuse survivors/victims in danger and make it easy for predators, stalkers, etc to find and harm victims who are most likely unaware that their information is shared and readily available to the public on websites like Instant Checkmate.Review fromDave A

1 starBullshit!!! It starts out saying FREE, and then when you get to the end it says pay up! I call Bullshit! I was just trying to help someone in my wifes family find out the military history of their father, as she cant research on her own, and was separated from her father at an early age. I dont usually expect to get things for free, but when someone offers something Im looking for for *****, then i expect it to be free! Sorry, but i am out!Instant Checkmate

Also, can't get a live person on the numbers, and when doing selection every time got an error message with the automation selection. Finally canceled on line but not before they charged my account again. Would like to see a refund but don't have much hope of that.Instant Checkmate

Recently they put wrong information on my own background page and when I called them and told them it was from another person with my name but a different birthdate, they wouild not correct the error. They were sued by the ************************ for this very thing, but they are still not cooperating with customers after a 5.8 million dollar fine.Cancelled my subscription today, ********** not use them. No refunds except for this month: $59.16.
