1 starHorrible! Items didn'tdown load properly, charged my account before the month was up. Also, can't get a live person on the numbers, and when doing selection every time got an error message with the automation selection. Finally canceled on line but not before they charged my account again. Would like to see a refund but don't have much hope of that.

1 starService succinctly is a waste of time and money and likely fraudulent. The phone number listed of *********** is for another business Sage software of ******, not Checkmate. The site promises impressive results and is very time consuming and has not produced any results from hours of searches and refinements.Instant Checkmate

1 starI was charged $27.49 for one month service to find I was looking for information to catch up with someone important to me I was promised detailed information and all I received was information I told them that I already knew plus I was charged 3.99 I dont know what for. 1 starBeen with *** for about 15 years. Recently they put wrong information on my own background page and when I called them and told them it was from another person with my name but a different birthdate, they wouild not correct the error. They were sued by the ************************ for this very thing, but they are still not cooperating with customers after a 5.8 million dollar fine.Cancelled my subscription today, ********** not use them. 1 starWe may have checked for legal documents 10 years ago when my Mom died. Instant Checkmate has been charging us for 10 years with no activity on the account at all. No refunds except for this month: $59.16. Finally caught it on my spouse's statement. ************************** is not a reputable company if they keep charging without any use of their product. ******.Instant Checkmate

1 starHighly disapointed with our experience. My father is an older gentleman and somehow signed up for a subscription for this without meaning to. He was simply looking for photos of one of his cousins who had recently passed away. He never received any reports but has been charged for 3 months of reports and another fee for a subscription for downloads. Another example of a company trying to slip in monthly subscription costs and in this case two of them! We called and pleaded for them to refund the charges and the agent stated this was their company policy and that they did not make allowances, they would only refund the charges from this last cycle. We asked to speak with a manager and she said again we would get the same answer. Not making it very clear that someone is signing up for a subscription is a sad and deceitful practice that has become way to common in todays world. Not making allowances or showing compassion for those who are no longer in the workforce and trying to enjoy their retirement on their set incomes really just speaks volumes. Maybe instant checkmate provides a good service for some people, I can't speak to that but their lack of compassion and lack of desire to do the right thing (or maybe they just don't know that is)....I certaintly would not want anything to do with them and will not support their business in any way.Instant Checkmate

Scammer use it to launder money.Scammer signs up with stolen credit card credentials (mine!), Instant Checkmate collects the fees, scammer collects commission fee. 1 starThe data I received from them contained inaccurate information and included data for people other than the ones I searched for. I could find more accurate information using ****** searches. They charge ~$30 for 1 month, but if I wanted to download any report I would be charged more. As I was canceling the membership they offered free reports and only $16.95 a month. I read the *** report from 2014 about their practices and the fine they had to pay. They are still using the same fraudulent practices in 2024. Why are they able to continue?
