      This company has posted personal information of current and past addresses on their website and will not remove the information. My information was removed from all search sites and now instant checkmate is displaying personal info against without my permission which violates my privacy and safety. If my information is not removed from their site and affiliated sites I will take legal action immediately.

      I wanted to find an old acquaintances new number and this train wreck popped up on ******* After jumping through their hoops they said my card could not be processed. Well a few minutes later my banks fraud line is texting me and these clowns are billing me. But they sure did not provide any services so I do a check on them and their ratings are abhorrent. They don't return calls and they have some BS subscription service that of course can not be simply and remotely unplugged via the internet as an obvious means of being so hard to contact them you ********** the subscription keep billing your account. They did not provide any service and my banks fraud department has been notified of what they did. I want my money back and whatever subscription I did not want cancelled and I never want to hear a word from these clowns again.

       I did not make an account. Your system failed at the credit card input screen and flashed an error message. I gave up and said s**** it and used a different service. Then a few minutes later my bank texts me a fraud alert for the charge from your service. So you guys charged my bank failed to provide any service whatsoever and now have an e mail in my mailbox asking me to complete my wonderful purchase with your amazing company. I do not want to complete a purchase. I want the charge for no service provided returned to me and any subscriptions you may or may not have enrolled me in burnt to the god damned ground. Then I never want to hear from you people again. The last four digits of the card are ****. Return my funds and severe any and all associations you may erroneously think you have with me directly and without any further dicking around.

      I went to look up my ancestry information and the website is totally misleading with the information it provided. The information i was given couldve been easily found on ******* I was not happy with the service and i cancelled immediately after. And i received an email saying i would still be charged and have access for 30 days. This is absolutely unacceptable to charge someone for a service they no longer want and doesnt plan on using it again. 30 dollars is expensive to just give someone for literally 10 mins of usage. If you give an option to cancel a refund should be provided and not cancel it and still charge me for something i dont plan on using. After canceling i went to the website and saw that they dont offer any refunds. When checking out the terms and conditions are in small print purposely to not inform customers of what they are getting into. To me this is unethical business practices. You cant charge someone a service thats worth 30 days for 10 mins

      We can confirm that there has been a dispute regarding the charges associated with the account in question, resulting in a chargeback. According to our records, it appears that the account is currently in dispute with their financial institution. In this case, we recommend that they reach out to their financial institution directly to address any concerns they *** have regarding a refund. 

      We are also able to verify that the membership has been cancelled and disabled, and there will be no additional charges applied. Additionally, as a result of the dispute, this account will be inaccessible going forward.

      i tried to dispute the payment with PayPal b/c i dont feel i should be charged for something i dont want and they denied the dispute so i have to go through you guys to get my refund. Please provide proof that shows my signature confirming an authorization. I never signed my name authorizing anything with your company. You cant charge someone for a monthly subscription they no longer want. Thats false advertising keeping 30 dollars for a few minutes of service is ridiculous I dont want to use the service for 30 days i want my money back i didnt like the service provided and i no longer want to use it anymore.

      This disgusting company has uploaded all of my private information which includes my name, address and family's information. They have scraped public records, mail records, and other things they should not know. I have requested to have my information removed in the past. They agreed and removed it. Now years later it's back again and I can't even find a way to remove it. It says to verify an email address I have never used. I emailed the company but I doubt I'll get a response. This is ridiculous. If I have to contact a lawyer I will.The fact is, people use these sites to victimize people and crimes often result from such information. This includes theft, stalking, harassment, ****, murder; the list goes on. It's unethical and ******* is one of the few countries that allows this to happen.

      As they mentioned in their response they hijacked my information from public sources ********* LinkedIn,State, etc.  These information was collected without my consent is violation of the laws and my rights.  I cant do anything on their website. They required email to verify my identity.  That is not possible;I have deleted both accounts with MSN and Outlook which they stole.  I was deleting over 300 junk mail and spam every day and painfully transfered my information to safe location. Therefore I can't communicate with them and I will not provide them any more information about me.  They know my name they need to remove my name from and phone number from Dark WEB.  It is their responsibility to do so.  They say they care about privacy of the people, yet they stole mine and put it in the dark web.  For initial step I will file a formal complaint with FCC and Homeland Cyber Security if my name is not removed.  My privacy has been violated and I have proof of that.

      3 months ago, I correctly used the *** OUT process to remove my information from Instantcheckmate.com and their other related sites. In this process, I was instructed to use **************************************************** and other related intermediary pages to identify my information, while correctly entering my date of birth and having a confirmation email sent to one of my listed contacts. I correctly identified the information and set my information to "Suppressed", which means the personal information would no longer show on the websites. This was 3 months ago. I took screen shots of everything. 2 months ago I noticed the information still showed on the instantcheckmate.com website, so I emailed customer service. They said they were working to resolve this. I checked again 1 month ago and the information was AGAIN not removed. I emailed customer service, and they said they were working to resolve this. My information is STILL ON THE WEBSITE. IT WAS NEVER REMOVED. I have been lied to and this company has used a fraudulent process that pretends to remove my information, but does not. Remove all of my information once and for all.If you will not remove the information immediately, legal action will be taken. ID: ************************************ "This identity is currently configured as suppressed across our people search brands." - IT IS NOT. THAT IS A LIE.       In april 2019 I signed online to have ICM Instant CheckMate do a search for a person and they would provide an address /ph number . They do people searches and criminal background checks.The agreement /cost on my debit card *************** was $28.70 for a 1 time (1 month) charge. Never did I apply or choose ongoing monthly charges. So this company in ********* operates online. They took $28.70 out of my checking account at ************* which my Debit Card was linked to. They charged me $1,372 dollars total up till July 2023. . They charged every month since May 2019 to this current date July 2023 . This is illegal. I never was aware of the charges against my account. I am embarrased I did not check my account until recently when my ************* notified me of these unauthorized monthly charges. I contacted this ICM Instant Checkmate and tried my best over 3 weeks to get a refund with many calls and Emails.I demanded a refund for $1,372 dollars to be credited to my checking account. They refused many times saying that they agreed to refund me but only through my OLD Debit Card they had on record. They said they could not send a refund check in the Mail which is crazy.They said they tried numerous times to refund to my old debit card and it was rejected and not working. I told them that when the fraud occured my Bank insisted that I Cancel my Card and get a new Debit Card . I spoke to the legal area of this company via Email and they were very hard to deal with. They said they cannot help me with a refund because these attempts to refund/credit the Debit card they still had on file (old Card) would not accept a refund. I offered to give them a new Debit Card number and they refused to take/accept my new current Debit Card number. It is the same Bank i maintained my checking account with the entire time. Why cannot they credit /refund that balance to my Checking account? HELP The compamy address is ******************************************************************************

      This response is in regards to the consumer complaint from ***************************, ID ********. 

      When a user activates their account, they must provide an electronic signature authorizing Instant Checkmate to charge their card as described, including for the automatic renewal of their membership. Our Billing Terms are conspicuously explained on our registration page and in our Terms of Use. Customers are sent a confirmation email for any orders placed on the site.

      Customers are able to cancel online from within their account, through our Customer Phone Support, or by sending an email to *********************************** After a thorough investigation, we have determined that no cancellation attempts were made through any of these channels.  

      We have canceled all memberships associated with Mr. *********** account and as a courtesy, issued a refund of charges on the account on August 3, 2023. Further, per an email received from Mr. *********** dated August 4, 2023, he has accepted additional refunds as a final resolution and those will be processed in due course.
