      I paid the 95 cents for the 1 search and cancelled the membership. I screenshot it when it said successfully cancelled. Then they still tried to charge my card $29.95 for the membership which I disputed. Then they try to charge my card again. So I look and they never cancelled my membership even though I clearly have it screenshot where it said it successfully cancelled. So I cancelled it again and tried to delete the account and payment info to which I couldn't. They keep trying to charge my card. I have contacted them and sent the screenshots and they are rude everytime and treat me like I'm stupid. They're clearly scammers. I ended up locking my card and then reporting it stolen to stop the recurring charges that I didn't authorize for an account that I cancelled multiple times with proof I did. The background check wasn't even accurate to begin with. So the information they claim to give you isn't as a full report isn't a full report . It is all a ENORMOUS SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with your service and the misleading information provided on your website. According to your site, you offer a three-day trial. I initiated my trial on July 2, 2024, and canceled it on July 5, 2024, at 3:48 PM, receiving a confirmation of my cancellation. Despite this, I was charged for a membership on July 12, 2024.When I called your customer service, I was informed that my cancellation applied to the month of August, which makes no sense since I canceled within the trial period for July. Furthermore, I was told that your policy considers the trial period to be only two full days, with the trial ending at 12:01 AM on the third day, after which the membership charge is applied. This effectively makes it a two-day trial, not three, which is highly misleading.When I asked where on your website this policy is stated, I was told it is an internal policy and that I could have called for clarification. This is unreasonable since I signed up and canceled the trial online. Expecting customers to call for clarification on a misleadingly advertised trial period is unfair and deceptive.I am less concerned about the money than the presumptuous and negligent attitude toward your customers. I appreciated the service and might have considered a membership in the future, but this experience has left me very disappointed in how you treat your customers.I hope you will reconsider your policies and the way they are communicated to avoid misleading customers in the future.

We show your trial began on 07/02 and ended on 07/05 in which you were then billed for our monthly membership. We spoke to you on 07/12 and we processed you a prorated refund of $18.51.       Scam site, I tried the **************************************************************************** 25 dollars after PeopleFinders charged me for a month. No where in the 95 cent intro was the fact that I was signing up for a subscription. This is their business practice, to fleece people. My bad, I did not review this company before trying to do something nice. Stay away, and the information was bad on top of it all.

      I used Peoplefinder one time after paying 95cents in alril 2024. I also used Been Verified. Been Verified was more accurate and provided more CURRENT info. I tried canceling my subscription but for some reason it didn't happen. I started to be charged $14.95 and $24.95 a month. They CLAIM I signed up for BOTH subscriptions. I DID NOT!! They agreed to refund me ONE $14.95 and ONE $24.95 fee. They REFUSED to refund anything else. So, I am here to warn people to be aware of this scam as I see others reported the SAME SCAM!! Try BEEN Verified or Intelius. I wish I could've given negative stars.

      Had a positive first experience. ...Unsubscribed later.Returned and received an offer for a $1.00 single look-up.Got a confirmation, but no report and no response to my 2 emails .Don't waste your time and money...Fortunately, and appreciatively, PayPal rectified it...I know... $1 is no big deal..... But, yes, it is, Right?

      I paid for 95 cents. They then charged me $24.95 a few days later. I asked them to please refund me, via email, because I did not agree to a subscription. I paid for a 95 cent, one-time search. Of course, they likely had the subscription in the small print because they use predatory tactics. They would not issue a refund. It's now in dispute with PayPal. And this is on top of the fact that nothing turned up in the search.

      I was looking for an individual who I was told had died. People Finders indicated I could pay a one-time fee of one dollar. To my dismay I have received monthly billing for not one but two accounts I did not open. I am being charged ***** and ***** for a service I did not subscribe to. I have not received any correspondence, email nor notice that I am a member. When did a business have the right to charge me not once but twice for a fee that was not agreed upon? This organization has totally misrepresented themselves and charged me needless amounts that does not show as prescriber not member. It is says "recurring monthly fee."This is a scam site.

      False Advertising - They advertise a list of items that are contained in the 'Full Background Report'. However after paying the monthly fee, I found that many of the items listed in the advertisement were not included. Additionally, I requested a refund by telephone with an unidentified representative withing a minute of opening an account and was a denied the refund. Our family has contact the ** AG and are seeking an attorney to open an class action lawsuit against peoplefinders.com located in **********, **********.

      Unfortunately, there is no zero star option., or I would have selected it. This site is set up to be a complete SCAM. Everything about it reads FRAUD. It tells you to click on buttons that arent there, it offers you options that dont exist, tells you youve made an incorrect selection when you did exactly what they told you to do to cancel the subscription. It says they are updating your subscription instead of just saying canceling. It says it will update subscription in a few minutes , but never does ANYTHING after you press CANCEL.it is a complete farce, and I will now be forced to close my checking acct/debit card. Its a shame to rely on these companies that give you a false sense of security for the exact thing that you are needing help withprotecting yourself from the very likes of people/companies like THEM. Awful companyDO NOT USE!!

      These guys are the worst. I signed up for a lifetime membership that allows me 10 free searches a month. When I go online, they tell me that I have reached my *** with listing/searches that I never performed. Now, they have removed the section where your able to view who is on title of a property, with a message "we are working on this to better serve you" but it was working before - and this was the most important part of their service - allowing me to see if landlord references where listed on title for previous rentals. Now that they took my money for my membership, they "reward" me by removing services. Find another company.
