      I want my personal information removed from peoplefinders.com, and they offer a way to do this, however the company charges money to remove personal information which it sells to public and private parties, therefore engaging in extortion and predatory practices.

      On November 16th I signed up for one free trail. I canceled the membership on the same day. I have proof of that. I was then charge two charges in December on the 20th for ***** each. After calling to try to get a refund I was told when you sign up you get two memberships and the reason for the two charges was because it was two months worth.

      Our records indicate you signed up for a 3 day trial to our Basic Membership and a 7 day free trial to our Rewards Membership. You cancelled the Rewards Membership but the Basic Membership was left active. When we assisted you by phone on 01/22/2024, we cancelled the Basic Membership and provided you with a refund for the charge of $24.95 that was billed to you on 12/16/2023. There were now double charges from the same date. The attempt to bill for ******* was a failed transaction, therefore no refund to be provided. You will not be billed going forward.

      I attempted to have my personal information removed from this particular website on 1/21/2024 and was instructed to use the "opt out" feature, however, this option did not work. Instead, I was directed to a page where I would have to sign up for and to pay to access my personal information. This is unacceptable as I have never authorized for my personal information to be used on this website. After several failed attempts to use the opt out feature on the People Finders website, I emailed customer service on the same day and received an automatic response that directed me to use the same feature that failed to work. I also watched the video provided on the website that illustrates how to remove personal information, but the process that is shown on the video is not the actual way to remove information. This is misleading and I have no intentions of paying for my personal information that never should have been put on this website to begin with. I would like for my personal information to be removed immediately.

      Upon checking my debit card transactions I noticed a couple of transactions that I did not make I called the company at peoplefinders.com and they pretty much told me they could not give me a refund and I asked to speak to a manager and then I pretty much got the runaround I want my money back

You had the option to cancel this membership trial at any time on the website, via email, or with a representative over the phone. We have received your cancellation after the 5 day trial has ended. We have removed the auto-renewal for this membership and you will not be billed going forward. We have issued you a courtesy refund of $19.95 for the most recent charge.

      I paid $0.95 to obtain a phone record that showed no results. It automatically signed me up for a free trial which I canceled the same day. I received an email stating that I would no longer be charged. Three days later I was charged $24.95. I had to cancel it for a second time. I called to get a refund, but they would only prorate the $24.95. They told me the $0.95 was the cost of the trial so they could not refund that, even though it is advertised as if you are paying for a single report (which produced no results). This company is scamming people with thier billing practices.

      Deceptive website!I found a wallet and simply tried to return to its owner.95 cents to help someone is reasonable, I have no idea why I was charged $24.95 I would never spend this money just to find the owner of a wallet.I demand a refund.Even if the site supposedly ropes you into some kind of membership to search one person, it is not clearly presented to the customer.It seems like 95 cents and youre done,.. but evidently there is fine print. What a scam!

      I subscribe to ********************* online for I believe **** at first but in order to get more/all information you need during desperate times, it asks for you to pay a higher rate and then after 30 days, youll be charged more.. this website is very misleading.. I accidentally subscribed to the higher rate one and I obtained nothing that the website promised - I probably tried to use this website 3-4 times. I realized I was being charged ***** and I cancelled it or so I thought I did I found out today, while looking at my bank statement, that Ive been charged for the last 7 months, which was a shock to me!! I thought it was cancelled! I called and explained my situation to customer service and they basically said they could cancel and only reimburse me one month!! What?! 1 month!! This service DID NOT provide what it advertised and I call to cancel! Ive been charged for a service that did not work and I tried using a few times!! I dont think it right! I want my money back.. after reading all the reviews, this happens to a lot of people. Unethical!! They are stealing from people!!

      I did a trial for Peoplefinders for $3.99,they have been taking out $29.95 every mth out of my checking account, cant get a hold of them at all. I want my money back

      On Dec 10 I signed up for trial of people finders for 95 cents. I looked up what I needed to look up and I canceled it on the 10th also so I should not have renewed. There is a tense to take money off my debit card and finally on December 25th **** was removed from people finders and it shouldn't have been I canceled my subscription. When I call to talk to them they said that they can offer me $12 back half of my money and I told him no when they weren't supposed to take any of it to begin with.
