      I created a PeopleFinders account after seeing a .99 cents advertisement to search for records. While looking for only one record, I found that the provided information was incomplete and did not justify the expense. I had no intention of opting for a subscription. Unfortunately, when I checked my credit card account on 3/5/2024, I noticed recurring charges levied. On 3/6/2024, I contacted PeopleFinders seeking a refund for an unintentional subscription after a $1 trial. During a call with *********, the representative was rude, and the call ended abruptly. I am requesting a refund for three charges (3/5/2024, 2/5/2024, 1/5/2024), each amounting to $24.95, emphasizing the promised refund for dissatisfaction.

      During the month of December I enlisted the service of Peoplefinders to lookup information about an individual that I hired to do home improvement. I saw the website which offered at a low price of 95 cents an initial trial and the option to cancel recurring payments of $24.95 when canceled within a day. I found the website hard to find where to cancel but I believed I did so finding the site. I paid with PayPal credit.When I was deceived into joining the services of Peoplefinders I tried to contact them by email and by telephone to no avail. They pointed out their site to accomplish my cancelation but I couldn't accomplish that action on their website that was very deceptive and confusing. I tried to enlist the help of PayPal and believed they resolved my problem and ended recurring payments. I truly believed the case was closed and never received an email until the month of March from PayPal to notify me that $24.95 had been billed and sent to Peoplefinders. I checked and learned that I was billed that amount on January and February too. PayPal did not communicate their failure to resolve this issue and lacked the customer service to help me. I have not used Peoplefinders since my initial inquiry and my monthly subscription was in my opinion was gained in a fraudulent manner. I also opined my disappointment with PayPal.

      I signed up for a free trial with this company on October 7, 2023. The trial from my recollection was a week trial to cancel before being charged. I canceled the subscription on October 9, 2023. I am writing this on March 5, 2024 after being charged $24.95 for 5 months. I am being told that when I made the account, the account makes multiple subscriptions. So it makes multiple subscriptions from one account, but when I canceled; it only cancels one and I have to cancel each one separately. This company practices very misleading advertising and is very deceptive and does this with intent in order for it to go over people's heads so they can process charges even after the customer is under the idea that the account has been cancelled. After I thought I had it cancelled, I got into an accident and was on bed rest for a month, and am currently disabled. I was unable to deal with any of this at the time and am still having a hard time dealing with it. I just happened to notice my credit card charges going up and got lucky to notice this company has been charging me for 5 months. I believe they are taking advantage of people in many ways with this. I want a refund for all of my charges as this is very unethical business practices. I RECEIVED ABSOLUTELY NO DOCUMENTATION FROM THIS COMPANY VIA EMAIL WELCOMING NE TO MY MULTIPLE SUBSCRIPTIONS, so I was completely unaware that I had multiple subscriptions or what I was being continuously charged for after I thought I had cancelled. Then I file a dispute with my bank and the company is more than happy to provide them documentation with these subscriptions, but why couldn't they give me documentation so I was fully aware of everything? Because they are just trying to scam and rip people off. I was trying to use their service originally to find information on a family member I've lost contact with and couldn't find any information so I cancelled. So I couldn't even find the information their website claims they can do either.

      I used people finder for a free membership 13 Jun 2023, and requested to cancel. in July 2023. I was charged $14.95. Then on the 24 of July I canceled the membership however, I received an email that gave me directions to cancel it. But I am not able to reach the website because it says I am blocked. Ive been trying to call for months. They have been charging me $14.95 per month since July 2023. This month they also charged $24.95. I dont know what to do since I cannot communicate with anyone in this company. I have communicated the issue to my credit card this month. But I am afraid they damaged my credit if I stop paying I really dont know what else to do. I want to make sure this membership is canceled and I want my money back as I have not use the services.       I am rejecting this response because: after signing up for this service I requested to cancel s month later. I received an email that stated that I needed to cancel through the website however when I tried to reach I found I was blocked. I tried calling and I was not able to contact through phone. I have been charged for months without any resolution. This month I was charged $24.95, in andd to the $14.95; without any communication. I have provided proof that I am not allowed to contact the company so how can I then cancel. Therefore, if I dont have an account and I cant reach through phone, I dont understand how am I going to be able to cancel. At this point, I am requesting cancellation and refund. At the very least part of the fees and definitely cancellation. Thank you very much.

      February 23rd 2024 at 11 PM, I used their website to locate the owner of a phone number. I had to pay 0,95$ if I wanted to have access to the info, which is what i did, i linked my paypal to it and paid. But today, february 27th 2024 at 3:00 AM, Paypal notified me about a automatic payment of 24,95$ in the website that I did NOT do. I only used their website once and four days later they charge me extra. I want the 24,95$ and the service that I didn't sign up for cancelled.

      My daughter used the one time service for $.95, the company has since fraudulently charged her card multiple times for 2 other amounts, $14.95 and $24.95. One charge went through, so her card was reported compromised.

      I agreed to pay a one time fee of $0.95 to obtain information about a contractor who had taken half the cost of major project from me, and his business disappeared along with my money. He was a legit business. I, along with several other consumers, had NO idea we agreed to a free 3 day trial of Peoplefinders after which we would be charged $24.95 / month. Peoplefinders flat out refused to refund me the $24.95 I had NO idea I had agreed to, which is ridiculous unless this shady practice is their main source of income. If there was an agreement in there somewhere, it was very well-hidden. This is not an acceptable way to conduct business. I feel totally scammed, which is unfortunate as I agreed to pay the $0.95 to resolve another scam.
