My daughter used the one time service for $.95, the company has since fraudulently charged her card multiple times for 2 other amounts, $14.95 and $24.95. One charge went through, so her card was reported compromised.Business Response

On Feb 18, 2024 I was charged $24.95 on my credit card, which was advertised as a .95 one time use fee. Its fraudulent and deceptive advertising to then put you on the hook a few days later for a recurring fee without notice until you have been charged. This extremely deceptive and should be considered a scam to anyone that uses it. I want a refund of the entire amount, and to be removed from the recurring charges.Business Response

February 4th **** I used their website to locate the owner of a phone number. When I entered the number their site said the number had been found and if I wanted the owners information I could pay $0.95. After paying the $0.95 their site said there was no information. Now 4 days later I have been charged $24.95. This business is a scam and lies to people about results then charges your account and thinks I will be paying monthly for a service that lied. I signed up for a 95 cent search on 2/4/24 and did not see that this meant you would be signed up for a membership and charged three days later on 2/7/24. I just saw this on my credit card. I don't understand why this company is allowed to use these practices. You can see from past complaints that these practices have been going on for years. Besides the point that they have been allowed, why would a company that is purporting to want to help people act in this manner? Very disappointed. I am rejecting this response because: I was not aware of the 2 monthly charges that were associated with two separate accounts. People finders use a bait system that was in there fine prints where you are under the impression you are agreeing to one payment for one account but you are actually paying for two accounts. There was a charge for **** and **** on June 26, 2023, which I'm assuming was for a trial period. And then two days later- which wouldn't have even been a whole trial period- I got billed for $24.95. I definitely canceled by the end of a trial period, which I believe had been 7 days. I had an email confirmation but unfortunately it got automatically deleted after some time. Monthly fees of $24.95 were taken out near the end of every month thereafter, for a grand total of $174.65.Customer service would only refund my last charge in December.
