I received a ********************************************************* January and I put it aside to use later. I just opened it up and discovered that it was expired before I even received it. The card clearly states on the front that the funds do not expire and the back as well as my paperwork say you will be charged 3.95 per month fees after expiration date. When I called customer service it says my card is expired and funds are not available.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I don't understand how they come to the amount of $88.15 for my gift card amount. My gift card was for $100 and I received it in January already expired. So shouldn't my replacement card be for the amount of the original card:? Do cards begin to be charged a fee every month? Should not a card that you receive have a period of time to use it before you are charged a monthly fee? My new card does not expire until 12/30 should not my old card have had a similar expiration date before being charged monthly fees - especially when the cards say funds do not expire? While I appreciate that I was sent a replacement card it seems ridiculous that11.85 was deducted from the balance.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: As you can see from attachment when I received the gift card on January 4, 2024 IT WAS ALREADY EXPIRED. One would think that a gift card received would have at least 6 months to use it before it begins to accrue fees. The replacement card I received has an expiration date of December, 2030 so I have 6 YEARS to use it before I would get fees. So no, I do not accept the response and I think it is ***** that they would deduct the monthly fees for a card used AFTER expiration date when I obviously should have received a different card in the first place.

Debit card was given to me as a gift. I've never been able to use it anywhere -- it's always declined. In the meantime, I get $4.95 deducted from the balance monthly due to "inactivity." When I call the ***** number on the back of the card, it will never connect me to a real person. Every time I enter my card number, it asks me to wait while they look it up, then it hangs up on me. I am rejecting this response because:
The dormancy fees have accrued because the card has been unusable. I have not been able to use it on any online purchases; every time I try, the card is rejected. essentially, you have been able to collect the money for the card and then hold onto it Long enough that you can now start deducting from the card because it is unusable on my end. Additionally, when I have called to talk to a customer representative, your phone line does not connect me to anyone and eventually hangs up on me.I have followed every request to provide images of the card but I have heard nothing back directly from your company.
At this point, I have no alternative but to conclude that your business is a complete fraud. I plan to share my experiences with friends and family to ensure they do not waste any money on gift cards through Blackhawk.

This complaint pertains to the inability to effectively resolve an error with my Reloadit pack purchased on 05/10/2024. I am writing to file a formal complaint against Reloadit for persistent issues related to loading funds onto my prepaid debit card, and the subsequent poor customer service and technical support I have encountered. I have attempted to load $200 onto my Netspend card using the reloadit website/safe. However, despite following the instructions provided,(used a phone then a laptop, cleared history, cookies, etc, also used ************** I consistently receive error messages indicating a loading failure. The reference numbers for my interactions with Reloadit customer service are **********, **********, and **********. Notably, during these interactions, it became clear that the agents answering the calls were third-party contractors.Specifically, on 05/13/2024 @ 8:40pm, I spoke with an agent named **** who promised to forward my issue to what he referred to as the customer service or resolution center. The Csrs are a 3rd party which contributed to confusion and miscommunication. Despite these conversations and promises for escalation, no resolution has been provided.Netspend has disclaimed responsibility and redirected me back to Reloadit. This runaround has not only been frustrating but also financially distressing as I am unable to access the $200 I loaded, which was intended for immediate bills.Given the situation, a refund was offered, but was informed that it would take up to 15 days and would be issued via check a method that is not only inconvenient but also delays my access to funds that were intended for urgent use. This experience, coupled with numerous similar complaints found online, suggests a pattern of inadequate customer service, technical failures, and a lack of accountability from Reloadit. All I want is to be able to remove the $200 from the safe and load it onto one of the 3 Netspend cards that have been verified.Business Response

the business did not provide information that there was a monthly charge if their product had not been used for 12 months, there is an expiry date for the card product that they tell you about but all the 4 card products were well within the expiry dates and yet they started to withdraw penalty money without my permissionthey did not send any reminder or reminder emails to say that the card had not been used for 12 months and there will be a monthly charge
very clearly the intention of the company is to start charging while the customer is unaware and doesnt notice and by the time the customer notices the secret charges the money is gone and that is why the company does not provide these charge information explicitly nor does the company send any reminders when a card product is inactive for several months

I am rejecting this response because:I tried to use the card on several occasions, and the first 12 digits were unavailable, only the last 4 digits. I tried calling the ***** number to get assistance and unfortunately, the system is set up to lose you in a labyrith. No matter what selection you choose to get through to an actual person, you get convenietnly disconnected and you have to call back only to go through the same process.
This is not the only card with which this happened. I had another class law suit settlement from ********** for $3.69, with the same company. I went to use this amount on May 10, 2024. I didn't have the full debit card number so I contacted this comapny's ***** number and as is their usual custom, you get lost in the maze of their voicemail until you're so frustrated that you give up.
This is a fraudulent business practice and it needs to stop. I want my $30 from this company, so the matter is not resolved.
Sincerely,

Dear **,
On May 28, 2024, Blackhawk Networks (Blackhawk) received a rejection to our response concerning a complaint from ************************* regarding a virtual MasterCard disbursement card they are encountering roadblocks with redeeming via their Apple Wallet.

I am rejecting this response because it DOES NOT address the fraudulent business practices of this organization. The business takes the settlement payments, puts itin account, which is inaccessible to the account holder. I, as an account holder tried to use the money in this account many times, without any success. I tried to call their ***** number to get assistance to no avail. I wrote the busines to try and get my account information to no avail. Their system is set up to steal the money from unsuspecting consumers. This is fraud in its truest sense.I recently had $3.69 stolen from me on May 13, 2024. I went to the store on Friday May 10, 2024 and tried to buy a gifit card with the $3.67 I had in this account. I was told I would need the passcode and the full account number. I tried to contact this business on May 10, 2024, to get the inforamtiuon and again on May 11, 12, and 13, 2024. I was able to access my account on May 13, 2024, when the balance of "0" showed up instead of the $3.67, and my money was again stolen by this company, and the fees were taken for inactivitiy.
Sincerely,

I received 2 100$ electronic gift cards from my work from Blackhawk Network.I have tried using them on several occasions at retailers that the business says are included - all of which have been declined. Most recently at ******.com on 05/13 for the amounts of:$***** $ ***** I used apple pay and payment was declined. Upon reaching out to the vendor they give me poor excuses must use card at approved vendor and submit pin - when using apple pay there is no pin required and according to their information ****** is an approved vendor. These cards are worthless and this company is a scam.Business Response
