I bought a card and it was hacked when I went to use it my balance was empty I tried to contact them they gave me the run around I provided screenshots of the purchases made on the card not by me, purchases made before I could even use it. Still nobody has contacted me they want you to fill out a form that is not user friendly if you dont have a computer. I gave them the card number and they can look u the purchases I cant dispute with the merchant because it does not tell me who or what its from 100 dollars I never got to use. This company is just as bad as the people who hacked the card! I only left a star because I had to.Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc. Response

I ordered a $200 **** gift card to give as a gift. As soon it was registered online they money was used by someone. I tried to use the card at the store and they said there was only 0.86 on the card. I have been in contact with **** @ Blackhawk to dispute the transaction that I did not make. They said in order resolve the issue and they are asking for our bank account number and our personal info and a electric bill to be able to resolve the issue. I did not give any personal information other than the sales receipt and the address and nothing more. I thought that was strange that they would ask for personal information. The requested documentation is necessary to establish ownership of the card between the person who has opened the Case and the regisitered cardholder as seen in our records. We are continuing to research this with the merchant associated with the charge in question, and will update you at regular intervals. We were given a **** debit card as a gift. We recently found it in a drawer, and although it had expired, their website says that if you call their number, they will re-issue a new card for the value that still remains. The funds have never been used. They should be able to be transferred to a new card. when you call the number the online recording says once a card expires, the funds are gone!! I stayed on the line to talk to a representative and no one ever picked up. Seems like bait and switch and I wonder if its actually legal for them to keep the funds.Blackhawk Network Holdings, Inc. Hello Ms. Bailey, While federal law does specify that funds from gift cards cannot expire, promotional, loyalty, or rewards cards are exempt from this restriction. The program provider associated with those types of cards set the expiration date as part of their contract terms with us to ensure the funds are used within a specific time period rather than being held onto indefinitely. I gotta link from work about a gift card through this company. After getting the card added to my apple wallet I was never sent a link to activate my account and I have no way of getting the actual card number. Literally stole this money from me and there is no way to get it back and there is no customer service line that actually works. You need the card number to do anything, and if you get the card added digitally you never receive the card number. We were given a $100 **** gift card as a gift. As soon as we registered it and it was activated someone used our gift card. When we tried to use it the first time ourselves, it was all gone. Now weve been in contact, supposedly, with Blackhawk to dispute the transactions that we did not make and they are asking for our bank account number and our personal info from electric company. Hello ********************,As mentioned in Dispute Case DS0655360, ONE of the following documents is required to establish ownership so we may begin the dispute: a purchase receipt, an activation receipt, or a bank statement reflecting the card purchase. We understand that you may not feel comfortable with providing a bank statement, hence why the other two options are provided. It also advises that in the event you are unable to provide any of the above three documents, please include a copy of your utility or phone bill. This is a required step by the card network associated with your gift card to establish that the registered card owner in our records is the same as the person who is contacting us regarding the charges, and is a fraud protection method implemented for your security as well as the security of the sponsoring bank.
