1 starThese guys are crooked as they come it doesn't matter if you do their dollar thing and then you cancel doesn't matter if you cancel or not the next month they'll try to Bill your credit card and then they'll do it the month after that they're just their trucking their feet they don't care if you have an account or not they're going to if they get your your credit card number believe you me they're going to try to charge as much as they can on it the crooked they should be put out of businessReview fromRanbir R

1 starIts a fraud company. Charges subscription fee against a small one time initiation fee and is very difficult to cancel. They are shady and hide the details. The reports are also empty with no data but would show they have data for one to subscribe by mistake.Spokeo, Inc.

1 starTypical complaint. Looked up one number. A year later I get a Welcome email from Spokeo. I check into it and discover they've been billing me via ****** $29.95 for a year. Didn't even send an email for a year. Just quietly picking my pockets. Spokeo said they'd refund $30 or so. Went to CC and they could reverse 3 months. Submitted a stop payment to ****** to end this theft. I'd skim through my credit card activity online but I have a lot of ****** payments.. I didn't notice Spokeo underneath one of the ****** payments every month. I'm going to see if I have any other avenues to get more of the $350+ back. So far I have about $120 back. Probably try a ****** dispute next.Spokeo knew I wasn't using the service and was probably unaware of the membship. So why wait a year to send a welcome email. Because if they raised your attention you'd cancel the membership. Membership my a** It's a subscription to service. I guess you can't make an honest living being honest now days.I generally have a low opinion of people (and companies) and they seem to live down to my expectations.Spokeo, Inc.

1 stari just found out that spokeo stole $1431 over 3 years off my card. The email used to open this account , i do not have access to . This is FRAUD!!. YOU ARE STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE"s CREDIT CARD. what is even more frustrating according to them there has not been any activity on this account?? this business needs to be shutdown!! 1 starSpokeo charged me $29.95 for a "service" that I did not request or desire. After some email exchanges they refunded me about 1/3 of that. DO NOT pay the $0.95 for info on one name unless you want to be automatically subscribed to $29.95 monthly.Spokeo, Inc.
