    I opted to use a single search offer advertised by Spokeo. I received a charge on my credit card for $0.95. Additionally, I was charged $24.95 a week later. I was apparently enrolled in a monthly subscription to the Spokeo service, I was required to cancel this within 7 days. This was not outlined when I used the test offer. When I called, the clerk was happy to cancel my subscription which would last another month. This was unacceptable since I never wanted a subscription to begin with. When, I pushed for a refund, the best i was told is that there would be a $15.00 charge, and a $9.00 refund to have an immediate cancellation. No matter what the service level of this site is, these are bad business practices. BUYER BEWARE. They scammed me.

    I took advantage of their $0.95 trial offer to check a phone number that I was concerned was involved with Medicare fraud. Apparently hidden somewhere on one of their web pages was a notification that I was also being signed up for a continuing subscription service. I didn't find this out until I got my credit card bill and was charged $24.95 instead of the expected $0.95 (this was for the original lookup plus the first month with 7 days "free"). Very deceptive and a completely useless service for anyone that needs to look up a single telephone number.

    Authorized a $.95 charge. That's 95 cents. Then they later charged me $24.95 for a subscription I never asked for. When reaching out to their customer service rhey didn't even address the additional unauthorized charges and they do not have "refund" in their vocabulary. Very evasive scripted non answers. Reported to PayPal, but not holding my breath. This is a SCAM! Beware of this shady company! What small print did I miss?!?!!!?? How is this allowed? Shameful.
