    A owner is being listed for my phone number that is not me *************).This is leading to spam callers calling me looking for the person listed.The opt out form does not work on phone number pages.I requested this person removed through chat support but chat support would not remove them as I need to know the full name of the person listed on the Spokeo page. I do not want MY name listed on this phone number either. I want the phone number opted out on this website.

The listings on Spokeo.com contain only Public Information. Personal information, on the other hand, such as information that users provide to Spokeo about themselves or information about their use of Spokeo, is not included in the Public Information that is made available through the Spokeo.com people search. I apologize if this was unclear.

    That said, we have long been a leader in making it easy for consumers to opt-out and suppress their information from public display on Spokeo.com. Our phone listings offer a comprehensive overview of the phone number including general phone details such as area code, phone line type, carrier type, and more. As a result, we're only able to remove the individuals linked to the phone number.     On October 27, 2024 I used Spokeo to access information about a person and authorized a one time charge to my credit card for 95 ******** conducting my twice a year audit of credit card expenses today, I noticed that beginning in Nov 2024 through this month (June 2025), Spokeo was charging my credit card a $***** fee (8x***** = ******).I did not authorize this charge, nor did I signup for any of thier products, nor have they sent me any billing notices or account updates via email or regular mail during this time.I called the company and after talking with them and looking at my profile on their page, it seems that they were charging me the monthly fee for a '7 day trial membership' (again, something I did not purchase or agree to pay for) for the past 7 months.The representative agreed to refund $89.95 but I wanted a full refund and so asked to speak with a manager.... The manager offered to refund an additional *****, and when I insisted that I wanted a full refund of $ ****** she actually hung up on me. To be clear, they did refund ******, but I want an additional ****** for a full ********* searching the term 'Spokeo unauthorized charges' on ******, it became clear that Spokeo has been levying unauthorized charges of $***** from people's accounts when they make a one time purchase for years. Can you please make them stop this unethical practice?!

Since all ********************** subscriptions automatically renew to prevent service interruption, trials that were left unchanged, were charged on the service's renewal date. Furthermore, cancelling your service only disables your subscription from renewing and does not offer a refund. Since all Spokeo services are prepaid, your service will last the duration of the period purchased. I apologize if this was unclear.

    I can confirm that this subscription has already been disabled back on June 9, 2025. This discontinues all future charges for Spokeo.

    Upon review, I can confirm that four (4) electronic refunds in the amount of $29.95 were also processed back on June 9, 2025.

    On May 28th 2025 at 1:58 pm I spent $0.95 cents and received inaccurate information. I decided I would no longer use the services and attempted to delete my account/cancel whatever membership I signed up for. However, the site was extremely glitchy while everything worked perfectly on my phone. This was a clear sight error. I was charged $29.95 this morning to a membership I previously thought I canceled and has been completely unused and gave me inaccurate information the sole time it was used.

    On May 2, 2025 I wanted to look up information on someone. I asked for the .95 look up rate. After giving my credit card information and email address, I immediately received a message that they had my email and sent me back to step one where they wanted my personal information including my credit card again. I was not willing to have my card charged twice so I tried to get in touch with them. I live in ****** so their office was closed, you cannot leave a message. Then I tried to email their office but I could not send the email. I tried over and over again it would not go through. Then when I called their office I tried to contact billing would not go through. I think they have 5 different lines and I tried every one of them I could not get through. On May 3, 2025 they charged me $19.95. I did not get any information from them at all. Not being able to contact them was extremely frustrating. Very bad experience.

    I have been a subscriber to Spokeo since 2011 with a $14.85 subscription charged quarterly. I was recently doing research on the platform and was prompted to upgrade my subscription. The messaging said I could cancel the upgrade at anytime. I decided to upgrade for one month to access the information I needed at that time, and I planned to downgrade back to my previous access level afterwards. I paid a significant fee for the upgrade in order to access the expanded service for one month.When I completed my research and tried to downgrade, I discovered that the new cost of my original plan would be almost double the old cost, for the same product. In the upgrade checkout flow there was never any communication that I couldnt get the old pricing back upon downgrade, or I wouldnt have taken the upgrade.This is a fraudulent and unethical business practice. Spokeo should be required to reinstate my subscription at the previous price.

    Spokeo is an on-line reverse email, phone address look-up service that states Free search, but when you get to the results they charge you for it. So it is false advertising, as they offer nothing free

    Spokeo charged me the 95 cents for a search. Then started trying to get ***** for membership I never subscribe to. Money placed in my cash app for medical support, was transferred without my knowledge and it was extremely malicious!! This was not an authorized transaction. Please help me get these funds returned.

    I was doing some research on a family i knew and I paid .95 for background on one person and ***** for another person in this family. When I opened up the report it had the incorrect information that was presented to me. The complaint that I have is that the supervisors of spokeo said that because I opened it and provided information which was again incorrect that I have to eat the ***** and the .95 for inaccurate information that I could not use. The customer service was very rude to me also. I had to call three times to tell me that I couldn't get what I wanted.

    When making a purchase, we do our best to let you know about the kind of information we may have available. In addition, we gather our data from 12 billion public records, ranging from census data to public social media profiles. Our name, phone number, and address search will only yield results for individuals in *****************. However, our email and username searches are universal and may display social media profiles associated with those. While our subscription services do include, name, email, phone number, and address searches; any additional services such as historical records, court records, PDF downloads, Investigator reports, enhanced background reports, higher search quotas, and any additional feature or service are offered for an additional price. Spokeo does not originate or create data, so our data reflects that of the original sources. Spokeo does not guarantee data accuracy, and the data should only be used as a reference. We are, however, constantly working to expand and improve the data available on our site. New information is added to our system every day and I suggest you check back for new updates. 

    Furthermore, cancelling your service only disables your subscription from renewing and does not offer a refund. Since all Spokeo services are prepaid, your service will last the duration of the period purchased. I apologize if this was unclear.

    I can confirm that this subscription created with the email address of ******************** has already been disabled back on May 12, 2025. This discontinues all future charges for Spokeo.

    As a courtesy, I have gone ahead and approved electronic refunds of $19.95 and $0.95 today, May 13, 2025. Please allow up to 7 - 10 business days from this date to see these refunds returned to your payment method on file. An automated Spokeo email confirming these changes was sent to the email address on file for your records. If you did not receive that email, please save this one for your records.
