    The following is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I have been charged by Spokeo ****** for the past eight months (since Jan 17), which has just come to my attention. Past the expected charge of ***** on Jan 9, 2022, I received the following charges:
    ****** on Jan 17, 2022. ****** on Feb 17, 2022. ****** on Mar 17, 2022. ****** on Apr 17, 2022. ****** on Jun 17, 2022. ****** on Jul 17, 2022. ****** on Aug 17, 2022. I show no email records of receipts (including the Spam folder) for these recurring charges of ******* To my knowledge, I have not used their service (naturally, since I wasn't aware that I was being charged) since the trial expiry. I contacted the company at XXX-XXX-XXXX, and ******* (employee ID ****** told me the maximum refund they would offer me is ****** My credit card shows a pending refund today (Aug 22, 2022) for ****** I have not been refunded the remaining ******* of unexpected charges. I would like to be refunded the remaining ********

    I can confirm that this subscription has already been disabled back on August 22, 2022. This discontinues all future charges for Spokeo.

    Upon reviewing your account, I can confirm that a refund in the amount of $9.98 was processed back also on August 22, 2022.

    Spokeo.com has 2 public profiles for me (***********), they are public and misrepresenting information about me. I am requesting BBB to resolve my request to have Spokeo remove these public profiles listed down below.

    I have asked them multiple times to remove the profiles and they will not respond to me. I have gone through the "Opt-Out Form", the error response I receive is the links do not exist. However, there are 3 links provided here:

    I used Spokeo to do a reverse phone lookup. The initial charge for the report was only $.95 cents!! I haven't used the service since then in over a year and I got an app that shows me recurring charges and this came up showing I have been billed $24.95 since July 2021. This totals $324.35 that I have paid over the year for a service I do not use and haven't used.

    The company Spokeo unauthorizely charge my debit card ending in 0510 for the amount of 99.80 dollars. When I did a 1 time purchase with their company for 0.95 dollars, it didn't mention any subscription that I was unauthorizely signed up for. It had no mention of this on their order page. I also didn't get any email confirmation of the charges. For May, June, July, and August, I have been charged 24.95 dollars per month which add up to 99.80 dollars. They are refusing to provide a refund for this amount. Spokeo did not have my authorization to charge put me into the monthly subscription and charge me for it.

    (Like many other users) I paid $ 0.95 for a single, one time search on Spokeo, and there was no mention of a membership or any other cost. A week later my PayPal/bank account was charged $ 24.95 for a membership without my consent. I would like a refund, please. I would also like these deceptive practices to stop. For everyone complaining here there may be dozens (hundreds?) of others who simply accept the $24.95 recurring charges, making this company a fortune. This is deceptive and wrong and the BBB should see that it stops.

    I used spokeo and spent 0.95¢ For completely useless information on a person I was looking into. I ended up finding the person on my own and just today got charged 24 dollars for something I didnt even agree to. I didn't receive an email, text, or phone call letting me know that my card would be charged or that a so called subscription I didn't even agree to was due for payment. I am extremely dissatisfied with your website and angered at the fact that I wasn't told in advance about any sort of payment being made. I want to request a 100% refund as soon as possible and also make sure that I am never charged again for this website that was completely unsatisfactory.

    I don't recommend this website to anybody who wants information.

    I used Spokeo for a .95 Transaction. That is how they scam you. As soon as you order the cheap option, the next month they bill you 24.99 to belong to their service. When I called to say I didn't authorize that charge, they indicated it's too late for me to get a refund. I believe the way Spokeo obtains signed customers is misleading and false advertising. They should say that the .95 report really costs $24.99 . Then the real cost of this service is disclosed. I don't think their business model for signing up customers is ethical.

    In reviewing my bank acct I noticed a recurring charge for $24.95 for a company I never heard of. They had been charging me for 18 MONTHS for a total of $424.15. I called the number, and explained I never heard of the service, didn't sign up for it, and didn't recognize the name they stated the ONE AND ONLY search was for. While everyone was nice and helpful, after many back and forth conversations, they informed me the policy was only to refund 12 months even though I basically informed them it seemed fraudulent. So I am still out $125 for a service I never used or signed up for. Extremely frustrating.

    Concerning Account #********** I can see that a Spokeo NEPA 100 - 1 Month with 7 Day Free Trial plan was selected back on September 23, 2020 for $0.95. And since this subscription was not disabled, it renewed on October 1, 2020 for $24.95, and renewed at this price on a monthly basis until it was disabled.     I had already made several complaints regarding Whitepages. It seems that Whitepages have sold my information to Spokeo Inc. I called them last month to complain about my information on their website, YET, I can still find my information on there! I'm sick and tired of these companies doing these shady business of exposing people's personal information and it seems like there isn't much laws to protect citizens. I have already asked them to remove my information off of their site and yet it is still there. Please help. Thanks

    I do not put my full name or anyone I may/may not be related to on my social media. My social media is private and I do not provide sufficient information for someone to collect and use against me. This is dirty business you are doing. Also, why should you create a profile about me on information that I've provided a water company or such? The company logic doesn't make sense. Phone books are non-existent except for Whitepages in which I've had a problem with them and have told me yo remove me from their database.I just want an answer as to why you think it is okay to make a "public" profile about someone and post it on the web knowing how dangerous the web could be today. I only filed a complaint because I DID reach out and told my concerns and it was disregarded. I don't think you are doing a service to anyone. Times have changed and I specifically try to keep my information private because of how cruel the world cam be. Please send a confirmation stating that my information has been removed and that it will no longer be on your site. I don't think your reply resolved anything.

    Please see file that I've attached. Why am I still finding my information if it has been removed? Is there a supervisor that I can speak with? I'm not getting anywhere with them telling the truth about removing my information!!!
