I had a great experience with Sequencing.com. The process was easy from start to finish, and I was impressed by how quickly my results were ready. The reports are detailed yet easy to understand, and they provided real insight into my health and genetics. The customer support team was friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful whenever I had questions. I highly recommend Sequencing.com to anyone interested in learning more about their DNA.

Sequencing is a scam. You pay a fortune for the kit. Then they require you to enter a credit card on the website in order to get your results. Then they start charging you a monthly fee without telling you that they will do that. And I am unable to delete my credit card from the website.

The website *****. They ask for your credit card so they can scam you AFTER you have already paid. They shouldn't be surprised to learn that theyre going to be reported to CLIA and CAP too for failing to put ADEQUATE instructions for non medical people. I believe this may be a scam, and I will also file a complaint with every laboratory regulator agency in the ***. If they bill me twice, IT WONT BE GOOD, I PROMISE. If they screwed you over, report them to **** and CAP which are both regulating government agencies.

Scam- set you up on a monthly plan after paying $1000 for the test. Then, my doctor wouldn't accept the results so he ordered his own and they do not match the results that I received through Sequencing.com!

I am a certified genetic counselor who has had several patients bring me these reports to interpret. These reports are not anywhere near clinical grade. They advertise that they sequence 100% of the genome (which no test can do) however, they mostly use inference based on a select number of SNPs. Additionally, in nearly every patient that has brought these in, their results are not corroborated on clinical grade testing. Many of the patients I have seen actually qualified for clinical testing at a much cheaper price. Not to mention their marketing is wholly predatory to patients with chronic health conditions (dysautonomia, hypermobility specifically) who have notoriously low yield from genetic testing. They also have ads encouraging and promoting the testing of children for adult onset "cancer genes" and have no transparency on if they are reporting out carrier status for children (both of which are explicitly discouraged by both **** and ACMG). Finally, when I have commented replying to individual's comments on their social media pages encouraging them to seek out a health care provider who can order more accurate and less expensive testing, they blocked me and deleted the comments. This company preys on patients for profit and blatantly lies about their product and what they ultimately offer. If you are considering buying one of these kits, please, please, please seek out genetic counselor or other qualified provider to see if you qualify for legitimate genetic testing to save yourself time, money and anxiety.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate every opportunity to clarify our practices and scientific standards in the field of genetic testing. Please find below our factual response to the points raised:Clinical Grade Sequencing and Laboratory Standards:-Our whole genome sequencing is conducted at 30X coverage, which matches the clinical grade depth used by medical centers and academic researchers. This sequencing is performed in a CAP/**** certified laboratory, adhering to the highest industry standards for accuracy and reliability.Quality of ************* (23andMe, Ancestry, Heritage):-A significant source of report discrepancies has been the upload of third-party genotyping data (e.g., 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage). We have found this data may contain inaccuracies not present in clinical sequencing. As a result, if a user has both third-party data and whole genome sequencing in their account, we now exclusively use the sequencing data for reports to maximize accuracy. This policy change directly addresses the root cause of previous issues.Scope of Testing, Autonomy and Choice:-Our reports are educational; they are not clinical diagnostics. We empower individuals to learn more about their genetics and encourage them to consult health professionals for medical decisions. This approach is about providing more options, not restricting them.Outreach to Rare Disease Communities:-We do not specifically market to populations with dysautonomia or rare conditions. In fact, we collaborate with patient advocacy groups and respected associations to further research and support these communities.-Many people with **************************** (EDS) utilize our service to access expanded genetic insights beyond what standard clinical diagnostics provide, allowing them to further explore potential genetic contributors with their healthcare providers.Reporting on Children and Cancer Risk, Empowerment and Choice:-We believe in empowering families with knowledge, including the right to know about inherited cancer risks or carrier status for their children. Our stance differs from organizations like the ************************************** regarding pediatric testing for late-onset or carrier conditions. We believe this information should not be restricted, as informed families are best positioned to make choices suitable for their unique values and circumstances.Above all, we believe that everyone should be empowered to make their own choices about their genetic information. Personal autonomy and access to knowledge are central to our mission. We are committed to ongoing improvements and will thoughtfully consider all feedback shared.

Said I was BRCA1 and BRCA2 and likely to have ovarian or cervical NA to confirm. None of it was correct. When I complained and sent them an email asking for a refund, not only did they NOT respond to my email, the deleted all my data. When it came back up on my ******** page I left a note not to use them and why. Needless to say, they blocked me. ******* Cranr

We could not locate any Whole Genome Sequencing testing under your name. However, your account contains raw genetic data from an AncestryDNA file you uploaded. Please note, we did not perform your genetic testing. Our system interpreted the raw data from your Ancestry file, and if that file indicated a BRCA variant, the report would explain its potential significance. Because we did not sequence your DNA, we cannot confirm the presence of that variantour role is limited to interpretation.Your uploaded data remains in your account and has not been deleted. Our reports are updated over time as new peer-reviewed research becomes available, which can change how certain variants are *************** may contact us at ********************************** if youd like us to walk through your account and reports in detail.

Thank you for your feedback. Our reports identify potential genetic variants and categorize some as variants of uncertain significance when there is not enough scientific evidence to determine their impact. This is a standard approach in genetics and does not indicate a diagnosis. Our subscription services can be canceled at any time through the account settings or by contacting our support team directly. We also provide multiple support channels, including email, chat, and our help center, to ensure customers can reach us. Our team responds to all request within one business day. Please reach out to our team for further assistance regarding your results.

******! I did the test looking specifically for BRCA results (without their knowledge as to why I did genetic testing). My test came back POSITIVE x2. Given my strong family history of breast cancer, I was referred to specialists. However, the week before my first appointment, my BRCA results disappeared from their website. Gone. Took days to reach a human, and even then I received just a generic cut-and-paste email that didn't make any sense to me. Long story short, they had some sort of error and failed to notify me (and presumably others) of the error. My repeat testing ELSEWHERE indicated that I have BRCA variants with uncertain significance and no known pathological variants. I wasted plenty of money thanks to their inaccurate tests and poor customer service.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Were genuinely sorry for the frustration this caused and understand how important this information is. Id like to provide additional context to help ensure a clear and accurate understanding of what occurred. We take full responsibility for the initial report generation issue, which affected a small number of reports. The issue was quickly identified and resolved, and all impacted reports were regenerated and users notified. Weve also implemented additional safeguards to ensure this does not happen again. As you noted, your follow-up testing elsewhere showed no pathogenic BRCA variantsresults that are consistent with the regenerated report you received from us.After your report was regenerated to reflect accurate results, an email notification was immediately sent to you to alert you of the update. You accessed the regenerated report very shortly after it became available. If you didnt see the email, it may have gone to your spam or junk ********** first contacted us on Saturday, February 22 at 6:47am ET, and ****, a Senior Manager, responded the next daySunday, February 23 at 12:33pm ET. We did not receive a reply to any of those outreach attempts. Website is poor. You cannot delete your Genome or file online. All the "free" Apps are clickbait. You also have to request they do not use your genome for research (its in the small print nobody reads), Promises but doesn't deliver.

I paid for the most expensive wgs and it was advertised with a year of free ******************. I reached out with no response so I bought the $200 app with 3 free months and have yet to get in touch with anyone. I also accidentally bought a report or two duplicate because they didnt show up in my reports or I looked in the wrong spot. When I wrote about the issue I was told no refund so its hard to see this as helpful at this point. It has a ton of information but no tips in talking to your doctor about it and its nearly impossible to bypass the egos of physicians. There needs to be clear instructions. Im extremely disappointed. I thought it would open up doors for my health but its just another scam at the end of the day.
