Instagram/**** has not banned an account that is impersonating my son and using his photos under a different name. The account began posting on August 1, 2023, it was brought to our attention on August 2, 2023 and was reported by us and several others. We received a message from Instagram within the app claiming that while our request was received, nothing can be done at this time because of the volume of requests. This fraudulent account @****************** is not only using my son @************'s image and likeness but it is falsely claiming to be a ********** based lawyer in its bio which is against the law. This issue will also be reported to the State Bar of **********. It is extremely frightening to know that Instagram/Meta is allowing such a fraudulent account to exist and to potentially message others painting my son in a false light and more importantly placing him in danger if someone identifies him in person based on the photos this account is using. We understand that the location of this account is protected by privacy under Instagram's rules but our agreement to the user rules is contingent upon Instagram/Meta protecting the safety of its users, which it is blatantly failing to do. We are prepared to file a temporary restraining order to get this account to stop using ****'s photos and falsely claim to be an esquire licensed in **********. However, there is no way to find the location of this account per Instagram/Meta's rules. It is Instagram/Meta's responsibility to take fast action to protect the safety of ************************* and remove @AnthonyGharibian94's account, otherwise a formal complaint will be filed. **** pays Meta monthly to have a verified account to prevent this type of behavior. We would also like to seek a temporary restraining order or a preliminary injunction against Instagram/Meta to prevent the verification of @AnthonyGharibian94.Initial Complaint

Facebook is willingly protecting hackers who hacked my account. The hackers changed all personal login information, and now posing as me. I bought an oculus (Vr) in Nov for my son for Christmas and from day one its been problems after problems with the device. When having issues there's no phone number to contact them you have to go in the app and request a phone call you pick a time slot. On 7/29 I requested an exchange and it was granted. But **** sent me a refurbished oculus that did not work I kept trying for 3 hrs to get this thing to work my son was super excited that it came back only to be saddened that it did not work. I went in the app to request a call back my time was 6-6:30 none called until 7:45 the young lady tried but to no avail she couldn't help she then went on to tell me that I would receive an email in 3-5 buisness days on instructions what to do next my son has only played with this system less than 10 times because of ongoing issues if you go to the website or on the app it gives you instructions on how to fix the oculus but they do not work if the instructions they give don't work they refer to a forum where people have the same problems and questions and it's thousands of people on there with the same issue dating back to 2021 with no help from Meta I requested a call back on Mon 8/14 my callback time was 7-7:30 still no one has called me I have a $400 device sitting that I cannot use. I tried to request an exchange for the broken one they sent me but the serial numbers I put in that's on the oculus says there's no oculus with those numbers I put the numbers in multiple times and it comes unfounded please help my son is a very good kid I saved my money and that was the only thing I could get him and it hurts my heart to see him sad because it doesn't work and I can't do anything about I can't even speak with a person or request a refund please help..Initial Complaint

I logged into my Facebook account like I always do to listen to videos and look at content before going to bed. I have had my account now for close to 20 years and never have I posted anything that violated terms and conditions nor did I post anything that was copyright protected acting like it was my own. I woke up to my account being disabled permanently saying that this could not be reversed and no info on what I did to have my account permanently disabled. I have my entire life, contacts, personal blogs and everything from my past 20 years wrapped up into the FaceBook Platform. I would love to have an explanation on what I posted, who reported stating that I posted something that I was claiming to be my own. If I post content, it would have most certainly been my own content or would have given reference to the original creator. I rarely post anything at all other than about my children so I am really confused. How can I go about working with you all to reinstate my account as I would never do anything to hurt anyone, or steal anyone's work. I have received notices on my personal email that about the same time there was suspicious activity with people trying to log into my accounts and wondering if someone hacked me. You can go into my account and search around to see who I've talked to and past. Iam at a loss and so very sad that my account was disabled. Horrible!!! I just made a facebook tonight, after being gone for years! I joined like 4 groups for dog pages and you all literally closed my account due to spam!?? What!!! I had a marketplace account on ******************** through Meta. They have restricted my account because they say I have violated their listing policies. I have never violated their policieis. They have factcheckers, which I guess are AI, and if you have anything in your title that relates to animal or brand names or collectibles like knives or silverplate silverware, they automatically flag your account. I have been fighting with them for the past 6 months because I keep getting flagged. Yesterday, they finally restricted my marketplace account and said I had violated the policy again. This was when I tried to renew a listing that was for a set of grapefruit spoons that are antique and have a serrated edge. Even though they did send me a message saying they approved the listing after reviewing it, they then shut down my whole account. I have **** items listed that are vintage and antique collectibles that DO NOT violate any of their policies. I have tried contacting them through every avenue that I can find the past 30 hours and can get no satisfaction. I thought once they finally submitted an account review request they would reinstate within 24 hours like they said. However, I believe there is a glitch in their system and it is stuck in review like several of my listings. I just want access to my account again.Initial Complaint

On August 9th I received a email saying a password reset was requested on my Facebook. I received another one saying my password was changed and my email was changed. I tried clicking the button saying this was not me however this did not work and my Facebook was hacked. Later Facebook disabled my account (no reason given). I have since tried everything to contact them in every way possible. I reached out to the ** office in CA,**. Facebook gives no contact information what so ever in order to resolve this issue. They are like ghosts. I have payment information and personal information on my facebook. I have had this account for 10 plus years and just want my account back. Anything would be so greatly appreciated. Please I am begging as I keep hitting dead ends it seem!Thank you so much for your time again!!
