I have reported to Facebook multiple times that my account was hacked. I sent my drivers license photo and everything. I have not heard back from them on about getting my account back or deleting it. Who ever hacked my account is now scamming people by trying to sell puppies using my name and facebook is not doing anything about it. They should be held liable they have no true customer support.Initial Complaint

About a year ago, my Instagram account was hacked and someone was posting pornographic images on my account. My account was blocked and I have been trying to get any form of help from customer service but it is essentially non existent. I have never had a more difficult experience with customer service than with Instagram / meta. I want my account back because I spent about a decade posting my photography on it. I have not been able to get any help. I am hoping the BBB can help. I have tried many ways of reaching out the past year but to no avail. I even sent a letter and never heard back. My account name was calcading. I have heard that other people have also been struggling to contact them I hope you may be able to help. Thanks.Initial Complaint

Meta/Facebook disabled my account for no reason claiming I was "spamming" or going against community standards. I run a small business and most of my advertising is done through the social media platform and I feel personally ATTACKED by ****. There are no live chats, no customer service email they will answer, no outlet at all to help me with this. I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. I have been reported by numerous people on my page and they are not friends. I have tried to share primarily what is allowed to be shared on other pages and I am reported maliciously without intervention from facebook whose primary guidance is based on preventing these actions and false actions. This is set well as a consumer who is to be able share the same pleasures as others. I have requested it to cease and the departments refuse to address the matter leaving me to believe I am being targeted by facebook personally. Ever since August 23, 2023 I have been unable to access my Facebook account. Every time I try to log in, I get an error message. I have tried numerous times to access my account by changing my password, trying different browsers, trying different devices. This has yielded me nothing but the same error message over and over again. I reported the error many times to Support. I finally heard back from them through e-mail on September 13, 2023. The message was from **************************************************** and it stated that my profile was restored. However, attempting to log in produced the same error message. I responded to the e-mail informing them that I was received the same error message. I have received no reply. This has been extremely frustrating. Facebook facilitates a lot of my daily social interactions and it's been very inconvenient to not have access to my account. It's also stressful not to be able to have easier access to Support. There are many accounts online of people being unable to access their accounts after being hacked, and being unsuccessful in their attempts to contact Support. I saw that one person said they ended up complaining to the Attorney General to get their account restored. I believe I will need to resort to the same here.Initial Complaint

My facebook account was hacked and I am unable to recover it. Facebook does not provide support. It was hacked originally in December 2022 - the hacker changed the email address associated with my count. They sent a "Did you change your email?" confirmation to my original email address, but I didn't notice until 4 weeks later - by that point the link ("No that wasn't me") had expired. Since the hacker has changed the email and password, conventional password recovery was not an option, but is the only recovery option that facebook provides. I unsuccessfully tried for several hours to find a solution. Meta/facebook has not responded to emails ************************************* and they do not have a functional support phone number. Yesterday (9 months later) the hacker began reaching out to my contacts trying to get money from them, which gave me the energy to try once again to fix this. Some of them have submitted hack reports which seems to have forced facebook to disable my account, but I would like to recover my account, as it has sentimental photos and messages. Filing a complaint here seems like the only remaining path forwards before I begin reaching out to acquaintances who work for Meta.Initial Complaint

Hello,I am reaching out in regards to my Facebook being hacked and disabled. Facebook made the decision to disable it. I was scrolling Facebook the other day and then within an hour my account was hacked and disabled. I have gone through the necessary steps to reinstate my account, but when completed it states that the decision was made based on community standards and will not reversed. I am devastated. I post family friendly content and utilize this platform as its intended to, to stay connected with friends and family. I will play that military spouse card as I do stay connected with family and friends through this platform due to moving and things. I find it to be the best way.Facebook has no means of a way to contact them listed anywhere and Ive done my research. Apparently, this is a current and common issue amongst Facebook users. My name is now listed as meta copyright infringement, but my account is nowhere to be found. I had taken every step possible to secure my account but alias I fell victim to them and Im unsure how.Is there any possible way you could assist in contacting them or helping me obtain my account back? I disabled my Facebook account years ago, the account was somehow re-enabled a few months later. I signed into Facebook.com using my then re-enabled account and reset my password to a complex 32 character password. I then disabled my account a 2nd time and opted for Facebook to no longer contact me. In the past few weeks I have been receiving e-mails from Facebook and it appears my account has once again been enabled. Now, in order to get access back to my account in order to disable/delete it yet another time, Facebook is asking for a copy of my photo ID. Considering their inability to keep my account disabled I will not be providing this to them. I am able to authenticate via my e-mail account, they do not need a copy of my ID to lose.Considering this account is being re-enabled without my consent twice now I am requesting reassurance and a documented notification that my account will be FULLY DELETED so I do not need to waste my time reaching out to an incompetent company.As a side request I also to love to know good 'ole **** can't afford a call center or ANY type of support for facebook. Facebook advertised 'purchase protection' for a macbook listing on facebook marketplace. The seller stated that they were selling the laptop because they got one from work. I purchased the laptop and the seller entered a fake tracking number (not for a macbook, not to my address). Facebook automatically denies my claim because there is a tracking number. There are numerous other people talking about this scam (APPARENTLY ENDORSED BY FACEBOOK). I want my money back. Also, please stop auto-denying support for your scams.
