Ive been trying to get support for my site for weeks and all they do is send emails with AI generated content telling me to use their Bots to get into my account. I try and explain their steps wont work and share screenshots and examples but they reply to use their Bots to request a call. Once again the Bot doesnt work. I put my phone number in my email and get a reply to use their Bots to requests proof of ownership. Ive paid on this account for years and need to make a change but all they do is keep sending me messages to use their Bots that dont work. I dont know how anyone can run a business like this and take money from customers and have Zero support.Initial Complaint

Company has completed retreated in using AI bots to curb any communication. No phone number to reach the company. No representatives unless you go though a ridiculous automated chat system that if you do not use the precise words that they require, they will block the chat and you have to start all over again. They also don't send you confirmation emails of what you discussed unless you contact them again and request it. This simple request has now eaten so much time and multiple attempts to contact and all I am requesting is my money back for the charge. I cancelled my subscription the same day they were going to renew it and they refused to stop payment. They offer a 14 day trial for New customers but nothing to loyal clients that have been with them for years. They have created a system to siphon money from people and makes it impossible to do anything about it. I am tired of these tech companies.I want my money back. I want my FULL REFUND. Please help!Initial Complaint

I had a website on Wix.xom. I NEVER knowingly signed up ****************. I wanted to cancel my service immediately (today June 5, 2025), and the current subscription runs out on Jun 18, 2025. I was billed on Jun 4, 2025 $336.00 for 2 incremental years. I attempted to cancel my subscription online, but that was not doable. I called them and tried to cancel but they would not let me, they basically said sorry once you get charged we cannot reverse the charge even if you do not want the service and the subscription has not started yet. They are a dishonest company, first off in past years we paid manually and never knowingly signed up for auto renewal. Also when we asked to speak with a supervisor they declined and would not let us. I could not cancel online and even when I got a person they would not let me cancel even thought the subscription has not yet started.Initial Complaint

I am filing this complaint against Wix.com regarding an auto-renewal charge and lack of transparency from their customer service. On March 3, 2025, my Wix website auto-renewed for an annual plan at a cost of $204.00. I did not recognize the charge and immediately contacted Wix. During the call, I clearly stated that I did not want to pay for a full year, as I am closing my business on **** 19, 2025. However, the representative did not inform me that I was eligible for a refund (within 24 hours of the charge) or that I could opt for a monthly plan.I have a phone record verifying the timing of my inquiry. *** failed to disclose critical information: the refund window and the lower-cost monthly option. I believe this information was either withheld or the representative was inadequately trained.During another support interaction on or around **** 23, I discovered the monthly plan option existed. I then requested a partial refund of $153.00reflecting what I would not use between March and **** had I gone month-to-month. *** issued a service ticket but responded on **** 4 stating they could not make exceptions to their policy, without citing what policy or how it applied.Upon reviewing their terms, I believe I complied by acting within the refund window. Their failure to provide transparent pricing or refund information prevented me from making an informed decision.I have followed up with no further response. I understand Wix has a poor BBB rating and often does not address complaints, but I feel this was a deceptive practice. Im not requesting a full refundonly a fair adjustment for unused time, based on the monthly rate through **** 19, 2025.Initial Complaint

In 2013 I started working under a brand name that I solely created by the name of DetroitBird. I brought on a business partner by the name of ******* G ****** and we formed an llc. She added her credit card as payment for MY website which was attached to my personal email account as well - ******************* and ******************** I have contacted wix many times over the years and asked her to be removed and to gain rights to my website back. They have not helped me. ******* has now removed me from my own personal email account and has access to all of my personal life details. She has also met people on public claiming to be me and done photo shoots under my name. I need access to my personal email account immediately and I need her removed.Initial Complaint

I was looking to create a free website with Wix.com. During the process it prompted me that I had to buy a domain in order to continue. It would not let me continue without purchase. After purchase I was then directed to link the domain which then it did not allow me to without purchasing the subscription plan. It did not mention anywhere that linking a domain would mean I would have to purchase a monthly plan through Wix.com, which promotes as a being able to make a website for free. When I contacted support and, ****** the manager of billing, said they do not have a refund policy for domain purchases and stated "To connect a domain to a site, regardless of the company, you must purchase hosting. Additionally, people register domains all the time with no plans to host a website. This is the reason there isn't an expectation set regarding purchasing a premium plan when registering a domain" This is not a reasonable expectation seeing that I bought the domain while in the process of trying to make a free website. This was his final response "Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. While I understand your perspective, our policies are set in place to uphold certain standards and ensure consistency across the board.I am a manager in our billing department. There would be no one above me, you would be able to speak with.We will not be processing a refund."Initial Complaint

This is unacceptable! For 2 months, ** have been dealing with this. We have submitted ***, bank documentation as well as business documentation as the requested for my wife's business verification. it has been 2 months of back and forward communication with countless agents and no one has verified a simple driver's license. We have asked to speak with a manager and we get the run around. We have to wait for someone to call us back after speaking with a AI chatbot. They tell us it has been escalated but tgeir has still been no resolution. my wife is paid by her clients through her website and she can't cash out payments sitting on her website. This is totally unacceptable and should have been resolved months ago.Initial Complaint

To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Wix.com regarding unfair business practices and the unwarranted holding of funds. For the past two years, my business has been processing payments seamlessly through Wix's platform. However, on May 2, 2025, Wix placed an unexpected hold on our payouts. Initially, we were asked to resubmit documents that we had already provided two years prior when establishing our account. We promptly complied with this request.Following the resubmission of documents, Wix then stated that an account needed to be paid, which was unclear and seemingly unrelated to our ongoing payment processing. Despite our immediate and continued cooperation with all requests and processes, $922.00 of our funds have been held for over a month, with *** repeatedly stating the funds are "still being verified."This prolonged delay in releasing our legitimate earnings is causing significant financial inconvenience and is an unacceptable business practice. We have fulfilled all requirements on our end and expect *** to honor its commitment to facilitate timely payouts.I respectfully request that the Better Business Bureau intervene and urge Wix.com to immediately release the $922.00 to our designated account.Thank you for your time and assistance in resolving this matter.Sincerely,Initial Complaint

Unauthorized Charge on Backup Card for Website Plan Renewal Complaint Details:On May 27, 2025, Wix attempted to charge my expired credit card for my annual ****** Art website subscription, and the payment failed. Without notice or consent, Wix then charged a secondary card on May 29 a card I had only ever designated for domain renewal, not for the website plan.I was out of town at the time and did not receive notification of this charge until May 31, when I saw that the payment had already cleared. I immediately contacted my bank, who told me I would need to contact *** directly for a refund. However, Wixs customer support system is entirely automated. Every attempt to reach a live agent has failed. When I try to dispute the charge via their site or app, I am immediately shown a message saying that no refunds are issued on renewals, and the chat ends without further support.I was actively migrating my website off Wix due to cost and had not intended to renew this plan. I never authorized the use of the backup card for this charge, and I was not given a chance to decline or cancel before the charge was processed.I believe this constitutes an unauthorized use of a secondary payment method, and Wixs policies and lack of human support have left me with no clear recourse.Resolution Requested:A full refund for the annual Elrica Art website subscription charged on May 29, 2025 Immediate cancellation of the current Wix website subscription Removal of the backup card from all website-related billing Invoice #********** May 29, 2025 Paid Description Site Billing Period Quantity Amount Premium plan Business Elrica Art ****** Jun 10, 2025 - Jun 10, 2026 1 $432.00 Payment Method: **** 6589 Subtotal $432.00 TAX (7.62%) $32.91 Total $464.91Initial Complaint

I am the Owner of Luxor Limo and Transportation. I have used Wix to host my website for almost 4 years now. Originally, the site was handled by an outside team. They left me with no access, which left me to gain access with Wix support team. Every step of that process was beyond not user friendly, to put it politely. After several MONTHS, I finally regained ownership of and access to the website. I was never made aware that there would be impending costs associated with the site. I was never notified in any way shape or form that I was responsible for a payment. This morning (5/31/25) I received a notification of a charge in the amount of $732 from Wix.com. Again, no prior notice of any kind, easily provable. They are stonewalling me and claiming to disupute the charge I would have to cancel my plan. Essentially, they are asking me to take down the site that I and 4 other people have poured hundreds of hours into and is essential for my business, because of their "mistake". It is my understanding that by not providing prior notification, they have violated Massachusetts and Federal Trade Laws. We expect our site to remain active and to receive a full refund. Additionally, it is near impossible to reach customer support personal. Everything is directed to an AI chatbot that determines if your complaint should be addressed. There is no direct line of contact at all, even for emergencies. Meaning, if someone were to hack my site, and post inappropriate, or worse, content, and I needed to do something about it immediately, there would be no avenue to do so. This is not acceptable, especially for a service that apparently charges so much money.
