I've been with Wix for 11 years and each year I hate it more. They are now unethical and possibly even illegal in their policies and operation.

Prices double every couple of years with no reason to show for it. **************** is lacking.

I'd not use this company for anything.I'm not sure they even know what they are doing. They can't even sync their web vs app data. No way to contact them about having two accounts that need to be consolidated:Safari only gives you ******** or "********" to log in or create your account and the app allows for "apple", which it does import, making creating yet another account easier..Seemingly another company that enjoys wasting customers time and expects you to be happy about it.

Even though my services run auto renew, I did not receive an email notification or any other notification that my services were about to be renewed and therefore I could not stop the payment in time. I have now lost over $500 because I did not cancel the services in time. The business I had associated with this account has gone out of business and therefore I must pay this out of my own pocket as they refused to refund me. I would never ever use this service again.

WIX.COM has misleading, shady practices. I have been a customer with them since Jul 28, 2020. One of the most important features of my nonprofit's website plan with them is viewers' ability to make donations via ******, which has been a feature of my service plan since day one. Two days ago, I noticed that WIX.COM had removed the donation/****** option. When I called them, they told me that I needed to pay them $225 to add it to my plan. They also argued that my plan has never consisted of that option, which is untrue, and I have a record of donations to prove it. I informed them that I am currently on a plan that they sold me on Feb 29, 2024, for $264.00. I further explained that I am not due for another payment until Feb. 14, 2026, and asked them how they would account for the remaining seven months for which I've already paid them. They did not answer that question, nor did they restore donation capabilities to my site. Over the past two days, I have spent hours on the phone talking to representatives who lack the training and expertise to resolve this issue. WIX.COM must know how important donations are to nonprofit organizations, and I believe they are using that factor as a way to get more money from me. I do not advise anyone to do business with WIX.COM. It's a dishonest, money-hungry company that preys on customers.

I have been operating my business through *** for years. While preparing to onboard new employees, I added (3) business emails to my account. I got an invoice for $0. After this invoice was processed, all business emails were suspended. This resulted in an $18,000+ deficit for my company - none of our employees could log in to respective drives, client communications, or receive payment for services rendered. All of our accounts are paid in full, and I have invoice documentation. Our accounts say "active" but when we try to log in, it says it has been suspended by the reseller. After requesting (5) separate callbacks and waiting on hold for over 7 hours collectively, my case has been forwarded to a supervisor because none of the first level customer service **** have the authority to fix this issue. We have still not heard back, and still do not have access to business email ****************** has become inoperable because of WIX mistake. We have filed a civil lawsuit to recoup the damages.

Just like ALL of the other reviews, Wix.com charged for for a service I did not use. They make the auto renew feature difficult to see, and (allegedly) send you one email telling you that you will be charged in 30 days. If you miss that email, they charge you $469 for their service. You can ask for a refund the following day, having never used anything they offer. It doesn't matter...they won't refund you. This company is gross and I intend on telling everyone I know how dishonest they are. They just want to steal your money. What a terrible way to run a business ESPECIALLY when it is supposed to cater to other business owners. B2B should always have some area to negotiate. Just very poor business ethics. I hope this company fails.

This company charged me what I thought would be $234.00 to build my website. After the hidden fees which I had to pay in advance, I ended up paying $372.00. Then, in the small print I was told after one year I would be charged $744.00. I ran to my bank and cancelled my card. They have no customer service and they're help option brought me to a solicitor that told me he can help build my website for $3000.00.

I have been a Wix customer on and off for several years. In May 2025, I was charged $348 for an automatic renewal of a subscription that previously cost between $130$170 per year. I was not made aware that the price would more than double, nor was I required to confirm this new charge.Wix sent a renewal notice 30 days in advance, but the email was filtered to my spam folder and never reached my inbox. Additionally, they processed the charge nearly two weeks before the new subscription term even started, using an outdated billing address. I had not logged into my account since January and was not actively using the ********** soon as I became aware of the charge, I contacted Wix within five days of the new term starting to request a refund. Despite my long payment history, lack of usage, and prompt request, they refused citing rigid terms and conditions.I understand that automatic renewals are part of their system, but I believe it is an unfair practice to process such a large renewal without requiring updated consent or ensuring proper notice is received, especially after a significant price increase.I am now disputing this charge through my bank. I am also sharing this experience so others are aware of how Wix handles renewals and customer service. In good conscience, I can no longer recommend **** services to clients, students, or peers in the creative industry.

Multiple years in a row *** has charged me both monthly and annually for my premium plan. This is to the extent of $31.25 each month and then an additional $450. That results in me paying $375 + $450 = $825 for the year premium plan. That is straight robbery... no mask, no gun. I've been a customer for years and love the website I've built which is why I've been reluctant to switch to a different website building platform. However, when they take advantage of their paying customers the way they've done to me the past two years in a row, it gives me no other option. I'm truly so upset and have to start over on something that provides my livelihood.Contacting support outside of an AI chat bot is non-existent. If you choose to give this horrible, greedy company your money just expect it to be double or triple to cost that you agreed to paying. Absolutely awful business that should frankly be shut down. Alternatives to WIX: ************ WordPress, GoDaddy, Bluehost
