I started a Wix account during a promotional period about two years ago. I sent a website up in about a month and then I completely forgot about it. Hardly anyone ever visited my site and I just wrote it off as a loss. I recently received a bill from *** for nearly $700 because my account had an auto renewal. I reached out to customer service asking for a refund as I do not use their service anymore and after weeks of fighting with them received this message:After a thorough evaluation of the circumstances and all available information, weve determined that were unable to issue a refund, as the request falls outside of our refund policy. As much as wed like to help further, were unable to make exceptions in this case. Our policies are in place to ensure fairness and consistency for all customers, and we must adhere to them. We genuinely appreciate your understanding.Any other service that Ive used with an auto renewal policy has allowed me to at least get a partial refund. Wix refund policy is predatory. They take advantage of struggling small businesses and you should avoid using their services at all cost.

*************. My house/business burned down. I did not have access to a proper computer. The credit card they have on file was replaced with new number. They charged for a renewal without any sort of heads up. I contacted them within 2 weeks of the charge and they say they cant do anything. I am out $400 because they are scumbags.

They charge you ridiculous fees for things and do not offer refunds for services they add on without consent. I was charged $204 for my "free account" for a premium plan that I never signed up for. They charged me 14 days before it was set to renew and when I went to cancel it, they stated that because its within 14 days of renewal, I can't be refunded.

You should be ashamed. You automatically renewed my account without notice. My small business was shut down and I wasnt receiving emails, if one was ever even sent. I tried contacting support within minutes, sent multiple emails, and was rejected every time. You made it almost impossible to solve the problem. Charging people who no longer need your service is shamefulI could never treat my customers this way. If you are reading this, go to ***********.

I've been with Wix for 11 years and each year I hate it more. They are now unethical and possibly even illegal in their policies and operation.

Prices double every couple of years with no reason to show for it. **************** is lacking.

I'd not use this company for anything.I'm not sure they even know what they are doing. They can't even sync their web vs app data. No way to contact them about having two accounts that need to be consolidated:Safari only gives you ******** or "********" to log in or create your account and the app allows for "apple", which it does import, making creating yet another account easier..Seemingly another company that enjoys wasting customers time and expects you to be happy about it.

Even though my services run auto renew, I did not receive an email notification or any other notification that my services were about to be renewed and therefore I could not stop the payment in time. I have now lost over $500 because I did not cancel the services in time. The business I had associated with this account has gone out of business and therefore I must pay this out of my own pocket as they refused to refund me. I would never ever use this service again.

WIX.COM has misleading, shady practices. I have been a customer with them since Jul 28, 2020. One of the most important features of my nonprofit's website plan with them is viewers' ability to make donations via ******, which has been a feature of my service plan since day one. Two days ago, I noticed that WIX.COM had removed the donation/****** option. When I called them, they told me that I needed to pay them $225 to add it to my plan. They also argued that my plan has never consisted of that option, which is untrue, and I have a record of donations to prove it. I informed them that I am currently on a plan that they sold me on Feb 29, 2024, for $264.00. I further explained that I am not due for another payment until Feb. 14, 2026, and asked them how they would account for the remaining seven months for which I've already paid them. They did not answer that question, nor did they restore donation capabilities to my site. Over the past two days, I have spent hours on the phone talking to representatives who lack the training and expertise to resolve this issue. WIX.COM must know how important donations are to nonprofit organizations, and I believe they are using that factor as a way to get more money from me. I do not advise anyone to do business with WIX.COM. It's a dishonest, money-hungry company that preys on customers.

I have been operating my business through *** for years. While preparing to onboard new employees, I added (3) business emails to my account. I got an invoice for $0. After this invoice was processed, all business emails were suspended. This resulted in an $18,000+ deficit for my company - none of our employees could log in to respective drives, client communications, or receive payment for services rendered. All of our accounts are paid in full, and I have invoice documentation. Our accounts say "active" but when we try to log in, it says it has been suspended by the reseller. After requesting (5) separate callbacks and waiting on hold for over 7 hours collectively, my case has been forwarded to a supervisor because none of the first level customer service **** have the authority to fix this issue. We have still not heard back, and still do not have access to business email ****************** has become inoperable because of WIX mistake. We have filed a civil lawsuit to recoup the damages.
