    I ordered Ring cameras.Ordered them through the Ring.com site.Charged to my card and received another email. Your order was fulfilled. The last package in your order has been shipped. Thank you for your patience. Your order is now complete. When I opened the package, it was not the same as what's advertised. I called Ring.com today August 31,2023 , Talked to *** and she asked me for a *** no. I could not find it. I called again and talked to Honey she asked for *** no. I could not find it. She asked for *** ***** said she could not find it in their system. I said that's all I can say. ***** told me to open the box. I will not open the box, you might say that I used this product already. The box is still sealed. *****, said that is okey just open it. So, I opened some of the boxes I could not find the *** nO. that she was talking about. And told me to take pictures of the **** I did and sent that to the link that Honey sent me. ***** said she still couldn't find the **** And I said now, what do you want me to do? Send this to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU? They might be able to help me with this **** I was on the phone for almost 2hrs and everything went a mess. I asked for a supervisor and there comes *******. I told **** will return the products since it was not the same as what the picture was. I took pictures of all the *** and ******* WANTS ME TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT. I said, when I ordered it, Ring did not asked me to create an account. Now, that I would like to return the items, I have to create an account? ******* said YES in order to process the return. Now, is this the kind of business the people/ the consumers are facing? When you order, no questions asked. When you RETURN, YOU HAVE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT! They are hesitant to return your money. I wanted to return only 5 items, when ******* forced me to create an account to process my return, I SAID I WILL RETURN ALL THE ***** Please BBB, look into this matter. Thank you.

    I have used Ring products for years and recently upgraded to a wired doorbell camera. Unfortunately, I was unable to transfer my existing protection plan to the new device. After canceling my old plan, motion detection notifications were infrequent during the free trial period on the new doorbell. However, once the trial ended and I did not immediately renew my subscription, I suddenly started receiving an excessive amount of motion alerts - as many as 5 per hour.This seems to be a ploy by Ring to provoke anxiety and pressure customers into repurchasing the plan. During my free trial, I barely received any notifications. Now without the paid plan, I am bombarded with "motion" alerts even when no activity is visible on camera. This tactic of exaggerating notifications to upsell subscriptions feels manipulative. Customers deserve transparency from security companies, not exaggerated alerts used as sales pressure. I had planned to renew my subscription, but this experience has made me hesitate to support a company that relies on provoking customer anxiety instead of providing a quality service.

    Absolutely a scam. The camera quality is garbage, so pixelated at times that you can't even tell what is happening. They make it impossible to speak to an actual live representative or get help of any kind, but have no problem taking your money. The only way your camera saves any video is if you pay for their premium subscription, otherwise enjoy sitting back and getting notifications that mean absolutely nothing because you can't view what triggered your camera to start recording. On top of that, every time I've had a video of something happen that I felt the neighborhood should be warned about, Ring decides it violates some imaginary community guideline or isn't descriptive enough and they take the post down. When you ask what exact information is needed, they don't respond! Perfect example, I posted a video of some guys that were looking at the tires on my neighbors car like they wanted to steal them. I posted the video, but Ring took it down. 10 minutes later the same guys came through and loaded stolen tires into their trunk. I posted the video, but ring took it down. About 30 minutes later there are posts from neighbors saying their ****** had it's tires stolen. This might have been prevented if Ring actually did what they say they do, and had they allowed my posts (that absolutely did not violate any guidelines, I checked) then someone might not have gotten robbed. Don't waste your time or money on this corrupt company.

    I've had the system for under a year. So far no issues. I've had to tinker with settings. I did forget t9lo setup the monthly service so I lost my videos. But that's my fault. And yes you do have to tinker with setting. My only complaint is no 24/7 recording to rewind but any movement and the cameras record so not a big deal. But the service is better than vivint.

    Ring is continuing to charge my bank account for the monthly subscription even though I received an email stating my Ring account has been deleted and I have proof of the email. I contacted Ring a few times and spoke 2 several employees and one supervisor and all told me nothing could be done except I either have the bank to stop the charges which will cost 30$ or get a whole new debit card. I find both of those solutions ridiculous. I shouldnt have to pay 30$ to stop a charge that Ring should be able to stop or get a whole new debit card and have to straighten all that out with other things I have on auto pay. Ring had terrible customer service and were so difficult to deal with. All they kept saying was we dont have any option. They werent willing to help figure out a solution except for me to spend more money or get a new debit card for an account Ive had for years. I would never recommend Ring to any of my family or friends just for this reason.

    I've had Ring for about a year. The website is horrific, no navigation bars. You can't find anything. The history policies are shady. They advertise that you can save recording for 180 days, but the default setting is only 60 days. You have to go into the camera settings and update it to the 180 days. Then the recordings only start saving for 180 days after that date. Any recordings before that date will still expire in the original 60 days. The saved history for any of your sensors, like door open/close sensors, is only for 60 days. This can't be changed. Lastly I was told that once the recordings are gone, they're gone. Ring does not back up the recordings anywhere, not even in the case of an emergency like for a police report. Make sure you update the recording setting as soon as you set up your system. And if there is any possible reason that you might need to reference a recording or the history later, make sure to download it immediately because chances are it won't be there later.

    Ordered the ring smoke and co2 listener. It is horribly advertised. It will not detect all smoke and co2 alarms. I was on the phone for over an hour trying to figure it out. I asked if they could send me a new box so I could return it back to target and they said no and offered no resolution. It is shown to be a device that will work for no ring detectors which is misleading. It should clearly state what it will work with or at least put in bold to check and see if your device will even work.

    We are a *************** Veteran retired family that purchased, and freely promoted ring product by sharing our satisfaction, and encouraging friends, church members to come aboard; we were quite devastated to have our service disconnected without explanation on yesterday, July 20, 2023, after calling to inform the doorbell was not picking up motion. Telephoning upon noticing less than 20 minutes after the call everything was out, flood lights, chimes, stick up camera. Ring Protect $100 has been purchased since the ring doorbell our first product was purchased 5 years ago. It was only after returning a call and speaking with a professional named, **** and her through investigation were we made aware of that the payment of $90.00 (a $10 credit was given by the young man setting up the prompt t enter the CC information) made with one a ring team member, March 14, 2023 was voided the next day, March 15th. The manner in which all of this was handled is puzzling. There were no email, telephone calls attempted to make us aware of this but, to blatantly disconnect service 4 months later without taking the time to explain to error on your end followed by an apology for any and all inconveniences is unacceptable.     ORDERED THE RING CAR CAM IN FEBRUARY AND ITS BEEN PROMISED TO DELIVER IN MAY, THEN OCTOBER, and YET AGAIN HAS BEEN DELAYED TO DECEMBER. HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! They legally scammed me !!!! Holding my money with false promises! Never order from these people ever again.

    Replacement.I contacted Ring in early June to report that my Ring Spotlight camera wasn't charging anymore, which is powered by a solar panel. They indicated that the camera's battery was too low and they couldn't trouble shoot it. I removed the battery and fully charged it, and called back the following day. When they were trouble shooting the device, they said that it was fully charged and that there was nothing wrong with it. I waited to be about 50% and called back, they said that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I called several days later, the Tech Support indicated that my solar panel was no longer working and that they were going to send me a replacement and that they were going to send me an email with the replacement info. I waited several days and nothing. I called back and they indicated that they have no record of the replacement. They place another replacement order, and gave me the same instructions. I waited couple days and call back, they advised that it usually takes **** business days for the order to be processed. I waited another week and call back. They requested a little more time. It has now been almost a month. I called back today, they informed me that the replacement was cancelled and that they needed to start a new claim. At this point, I am very upset and the representative has the audacity to say that I should continue to be patient as Ring is giving me a replacement for free. But, clearly the device is still under manufacturers' warranty.Note, that I requested to speak to a manager in several occasions, but none of the representatives ever escalated my request. They ignored me and continued to ask if there was nothing else they could assist me with. Eventually, I got tired of asking and hanged up as I didn't want to continue to waste my time.It has been about a month, and my replacement hasn't been ordered/shipped.
