This is first product I bought but didnt know about having to pay a monthly subscription to use it the way it was intended. Not have credit card in can put on line I am on social security and no checking account. I called customer service and talked to a very rude lady that refused to help but give me two options put credit card on line or dont use service!! When asked to talk to her supervisor I was told not and hung up!!!!!!!! I bought this product for safety I am 72 yrs old and just trying way to keep, and use it. Ive been a paying customer of ********************** for several years, and Ring is by far the worst tech company I've experienced. The quality of their cameras is abysmal, cheap plastic hardware that disconnects from Wi-Fi at random, forcing me to climb a ladder every single time just to reset the device. There is no remote reset or reconnection feature through the app, which makes the whole smart security concept laughable. Its 2025, how is remote connectivity still not a basic feature?Their app is just as trash. Its buggy, crashes constantly, and half the time recordings either fail to load or mysteriously vanish. Ive been paying for a monthly subscription that only works when it wants to, and even then, it delivers inconsistent notifications and motion recordings that are either delayed or nonexistent.Rings customer service is equally useless. Ive reached out in the past only to get copy-paste solutions that ignore the core design flaws in their product. This isnt a one-time glitch, this is a pattern of unreliability thats been going on for years. Ive given Ring more than enough chances to redeem themselves, and all Ive gotten in return is a pile of overpriced e-waste strapped to my ******* filing this complaint because Ring needs to be held accountable for selling a broken, overpriced product disguised as home security. At this point, I feel like Ive been scammed. This company is all branding and no backbone, a glorified money grab with no regard for long-term functionality. I want a full refund of every ***** I paid for the subscription.Business Response

Ive been without one of my security cams for almost two weeks which makes me feel extremely unsecure due to I dont have access to certain views at my home espacially when im not there. The one i had was deemed defective after Ring customer service when through various trouble shooting steps. Apparently the cam/light is on back order, I then asked can an upgrade be sent since the one that was suppose to be sent wasnt in stock and I was bascially told no. This is unacceptable, its not my fault that the equipment isnt in stock and I shouldnt have to go without insufficient security camera service which I also pay for every month just because an item isnt in stock.This is terrible customer service and a lack of effort to take care of the customer. Ill make sure I let all my family, friends, business colleagues and social media outlets know how Ring treats its customers!Business Response

This latest response just refers me to a warranty policy and to communicate with executive members email tread, this process is useless because Ive already communicated with this person verbally over the phone & has been useless and wont help me rectify my issue! All he has to do is send me a brand new unit and take back the refurbished one I was sent that even looks used.

Purchased premium color floodlight cameras for our home @ $249.99 ea. vs. the white and black offerings that were $50 less. Am a Protect subscription customer and had two of my 4 cameras develop problems with images (one - monochrome red image saturation, the other condensation or water intrusion). Was informed that there are only white and black replacements available now. I would like a $100 credit or complimentary one year subscription credit for the $100 that I lost purchasing the premium colors that can no longer be replaced. My color was 'dark bronze'. We set up our ring camara in 2020. We selected both to pay monthly fees.. I got a message from my bank today stating that ring was trying to take ***** for yearly fee. I called them and they said they would refund that amount. Today was the first day I was able to log into the ************************** account and went to the billing and noticed they have been taking money since July of 2020. When I talked to the representative today he didn't say anything about us having an account open with them. He stated the ***** would be refunded from today. I purchased a ring doorbell camera from ****** on April 27, 2025. The camera has worked great until July 10th. The camera is no longer showing the screen shots of videos under event history. I have contacted customer service 4 times with zero resolution. Its unfortunate that a billion dollar company has such poorly trained customer service. 2nd time this has happened. July 4, I woke up a missing conure parrot that I had for over 10+ years, I saw feathers on the opposite side of my closed in *******. I checked the solar ring camera and again there was no footage of anything. I called over to customer service, a complaint was made, and I was advised someone will reach out. Its July 9 and no one has reached out. I advised the customer service *** to remove the monthly payment for the camera, and I will not be using their services. This is the 2nd time no footage was recorded, and all of the setting are set to my standards. The 1st time this happened a fox came and took 4 of my chickens. None of the cameras caught any footage. All of this has happened this year. These cameras were not worth $800 and they are not records &/or CATCHING ANY FOOTAGES. My parrot was worth over $1000 and for these cameras not to send a notification that a *** was on my carport, I could have saved my bird for being taken. I ALWAYS have my notifications on high alert b/c I live near the wild. I will be changing up cameras soon and I will never trust these cameras again. If an animal can come on my property, then anyone can come on my property without me knowing. No sense of security from this company or their non-recording cameras.Business Response

I would like you to assist in getting my replacement ring camera to work. The ** code is not scanning and there is no pin that is with the ** code to get it to work. I rely on this service to monitor the safety of my home and my investment properties. Today on 7/2/2025, around 2 pm, I noticed that none of my devices installed in any location was working. I attempted several restarts on my cell phone and the ring app to ensure it wasnt an issue on my phone. I also did not have any issues with any other apps I have. When I removed the Ring app and reinstalled it, I went through the login but then only got the error 406 not acceptable. When I called Ring support, they were not helpful at all and would only say that there must be issues with my phone! This is after they attempted to send me a code to my phone and I said I didnt get it. I checked after and saw that they had sent an email and not a text message. Your company needs to get more competent support workers. I am in IT and can see that there must be issues on your servers but the support staff had no clue of this. I expect services to be restored and compensation for the loss of time to me wasted with the support and the loss of monitoring (I am unable to see whats going on at my other properties which is crucial for my ****** business).Business Response

Bought a new ring wired door bell. Soon found out that is not designed to ring your existing wired door chime. This makes no sense. Ring calls this a premium feature and expects you to purchase their pro model which is 3+ times more expensive. Documentation is extremely poor and is deceptive. If you want something to ring you have to purchase their chime. Why would you sell a wired door bell button that does not ring your wired chime. RidiculousI would like the Pro model for the price I paid for the wired model.Business Response
