I purchased a ************************** package on June 23, 2025 in the amount $604.76, Order # ***-7098683. The package included free installation. Ring lied and said the package does not. Luckily, I took screenshots, and they agreed I have free installation. Now, almost 2 weeks later, they have failed to provide the free installation.Business Response

On June 23, 2025, I purchased the Wired Doorbell Pro through Rings official website. Their website clearly stated:Check out with this product to receive an email with your free installation promo code.I completed my purchase following these instructions. After the transaction, I never received the promo code for free installation. When I contacted Ring customer service, I was informed that I was not eligible for the promotion because I applied a military discount to my order.Nowhere on Rings website does it state that offers cannot be combined or that using a military discount would disqualify me from receiving the advertised free installation. This omission is misleading and deceptive, especially considering the military discount is a publicly offered benefit and the installation promotion was explicitly advertised with no clear exclusions listed.Consumers have the right to transparent and accurate advertising. Promotions that contain hidden exclusions or undisclosed disqualifiers are deceptive and violate principles of fair business practice.Business Response

Im filing a complaint about Ring. Ive never made an account with them or used any of their products because I live in the ***********. But for over a week, Ive been getting OTP/verification messages from them on my number: *****************.I already asked them to remove my number, but they wont do it. They asked me to block the number but uses an alphanumeric sender ID/branded sender. I believe this is a data privacy issue because I never gave permission to be in their system. I got ring alarm service last year because I was looking for a lower home alarm ********* the *** offered me a plan that included my cameras and home alarm for $99.99 so I agreed go out and by all the equipment for my new ring ********* renewal comes my plan is not going to work no more I need 2 plans now that comes to $199.99 So I explained to them why u switched and I'm not paying a extra 100 so I'm not renewing. Not 2 days ago 6/19/25 I get a email from ring saying we going to prorate your plan at $99.99 so u can have your same service then today I look at my bank account I was charged $199.99 so I call in and sent over the email that was sent to me about the prorated about $99.99 and *** to me in a nut shell that email was wrong and they can't prorate the new plan they got and it will be $199.99 but if ring sent me a email on 6/19/25 saying renewal at $99.99 that should be honored but ring say no and only thing they can do is give me a A partial refund since it's been 2 days but I never 1st had auto renew and the main thing is u see the email for $99.99 so now my service is canceled my home and family is not safe I spent this extra money to go out and switch over to ring from my old alarm company for ring to basically say s**** u as a customer, s**** the email we sent u to renew your service at $99.99 unless u pay us the new $199.99 plan charge we don't care. I'm really thinking about getting a case against this cause I wasted time, and extra money and no my home/family is not secure with a alarm service because ring don't want to honored the $99.99 plan that I aready had and ring emailed me the plan and the renew amount of $99.99 to keep my same service. Very upset and feeling Unappreciated as a long time customer since ********************** was doorbot with the doorbell to be be treated this way from a ring support.Business Response

Today I received an invoice of from Ring showing that I was charged for my renewal. But my bank account shows that I was charged for 2 different subscription plans. 1. the Ring standard plan, 2. the ring premium plan. I called in to customer support and was told they sent emails out to notify customers of the change. The lady I spoke with couldn't confirm if I had been sent or even received the email. And when i asked when the email was sent she kept changing her information from march to april, to no November. I did not sign up for or agree to purchase 2 different plans. I was told that they charged me the premium plan then discounted it to charge me for the alarm monitoring service. Yet nothing in any of the billing shows that's what took place or that is the service I paid for. When I asked from proof of the increase or that the monitoring price was in fact the $99.99 which doubled my bill. She kept saying that's the email that was sent out. But she couldn't provide it in writing when requested.I asked repeatedly why my service price doubled but nothing on my service plan changed. All she would say was "they sent an email out for you to opt in or out of back a while ago. If you didn't opt in they automatically changed your service." But the email was never received, it couldn't be provided when requested. And when I asked for proof of the actual charges and account changes that couldn't be provided either.I feel that I'm being ripped off and stolen from by a company because they think they can.Business Response

That was not only NOT going to lie to my face, but also NOT treat me like an incompetent idiot. Should have stuck with the original agent I was working with instead of assigning someone new to the case. Because this agent is the whole reason Ring lost a valuable committed customer.

Purchased a ring Pro floodlight camera and discovered it was not recognizing movement for the area I was attempting to monitor. I contacted Ring customer service on June 10th after setting up a new camera and was informed it only monitors 30 ft.. My concern is the ring website where I purchased the device does not referencing a 30 ft requirement: No mention on any advertisement I have seen regarding this limitation. I requested a refund of my purchase price and installation expenses as I had an electrician run a new line for this camera and was told that this was "impossible".I sent an email to the CEO and legal council requesting their assistance have heard nothing from either.Business Response

I ordered the whole home enhanced kit, spent $550 was promised that I wud get free installation never got it, when I asked about appointment they continued to give me the run around and I never got it. I used to be able to look at my camera views without any password or pass code etc. I have 2 neighbors I have shared my cameras with. It makes no sense that they have to contact me for a 6 digit pass code when they also want to view the cameras. This must stop!!! I want to be back to no pass codes! Every time I try to stop the pass code I end up in a circle where I need to change my login. NUTS! If I must I will rip out every single Ring camera and find an alternate that does not need a pass code to view every time!I have been an positive reference for many years.
