1 starBack a few years ago, I signed up for their virtual training classes. Each renewal, I received notification of the renewal except for this year. They charged my account without a reminder. I used this mostly during Covid lockdown and had not used it as I am going to the gym again. I have other apps that send notifications which allow me to reflect whether I want to keep the service. I called customer support and they said that I did receive the notification and would not refund me. They went straight to the terms of the agreement and said I could appeal but it would be denied. I canceled my membership at that point over the phone and immediately received the email notification. That seemed odd to me. How would I get that and not the renewal? I stand by my statement that I did not receive notification of renewal. I went thru my card company but they would not refund me. This is extremely frustrating situation for two reasons: I did not receive notification of renewal and literally on the anniversary date I requested a refund and they would not honor it. After a long term relationship, this is how it ends - dissatisfied customer who will never use their virtual training again. I warn others who use Beachbody or BODi. Their unethical renewal techniques will get you locked into automatic renewals that stealthily hit your card. Seeing other reviews here stating similar experiences, I have say that this company is unscrupulous in their business practices. They will not remain in business because ultimately it is how you treat your customers.Review fromJo D

1 starBe aware of what youre signing up for. Their customer service is awful and they give very detailed reasons in their responses on how they can keep your money because of small print. It seems from reading similar reviews/complaints that their business stays alive on getting money from folks not really aware that they are still paying. And customer service will feed you the details on how you agreed to it. I did enjoy my workouts, but can find just as good with an honest company!Review fromKarley L

1 starHorrible customer services and hides clauses in the Terms and Conditions so they never have to refund a service. After your first year, this should be illegal.Beachbody, LLC

1 starI have been a member since 2018. This year I had fully intended on canceling my subscription but missed the notification email. I canceled the subscription just days after the renewal, however my subscription costs will not be refunded. I am very disappointed in this practice and it is unfair to the customer service staff who have to enforce this faulty policy. I will tell everyone I know that BODI behaves unethically and has very poor customer service. The company should be ashamed to treat their customers in this manner, not even a pro rated refund is available.Beachbody, LLC

1 starIve been with Beachbody for many years. In hopes I would use the program more often, I kept it. My financial situation changed and no longer able to continue to pay the costs for a product I simply dont use. And the cost of the ondemand has gone up considerably. In the past, *** tried to use their website to update information to my account and cancel recurring subscriptions. The website continually spins and gives me an error message. It is supposed to be something that can easily be done on your own however, I was forced to have to call because the website never worked properly when I tried to cancel things. This was around 2016. Fast forward to 2024 and the same issue still exists. Im trying to cancel and the website still does the exact same thing. *** cleared my cache and everything. Still an error. My assumption is, the website doesnt track when someone receives an error or it would have been fixed by now. Another thought is, Beachbody intentionally creates the issues of never being able to cancel services online so they can later say, YOU never attempted to cancel a subscription or service. That is very poor customer service considering there is no chat box or emailing the company options. If youre trying after hours, you cant call and are forced to wait till the next day to get someone on the phone. Shame on you Beachbody. I will make a note so I dont forget to call in the morning and cancel this service that feels like a person is trapped into because your website NEVER allows cancellations without an error.Beachbody, LLC

1 starI canceled this service in 11/1/2023. I was not made aware there was a monthly vs a yearly subscription. On 7/31/2024, $189.74 was debited from my account without at consumer notification. I received no communications advising that my subscription renewal was coming up for renew and had no indications that this was even still a subscription I was subscribed to. I called consumer relations and Ria ********* advised me I canceled 7/31 the same day they took the money. I said yes I did because as soon as I seen the money taken out I freaked out and went in again and re-canceled hoping since the charge was pending they would undo it. She advised there is no refunds on yearly subs per policy. This is unacceptable for consumers without any notification. All I want is my money returned. She would not transfer me to a supervisor or someone that could help me. She sent me a form to fill out that would be reviewed but also told me that no exception would be granted. I am pretty sure there Is consumer law advising they need to communicate with their customer especially after a whole year. Please help me get my money back.Beachbody, LLC

1 starI was duped by the auto renewal practices of this company. I ALWAYS turn off auto-renew so was shocked to see a charge to my credit card. I'm not saying that I did turn it off, all I'm saying is that I typically make it a practice to turn them off, so not sure what happened there. Anyway, I cancelled immediately and searched for an email that would have alerted me to the upcoming payment. That email was super sneaky and not oblivious at all! Unless you read the whole email - which is unlikely because they send so many emails, you wouldn't know it's an alert. In my opinion and clearly the opinion shared by ethical businesses, the auto-renwal alert should be stated in the subject line! I contacted the company and asked for a refund, they said that they couldn't issue one but I could send an email to support asking for a policy exemption. I did this but again was told that they would not refund my money and referenced the same email I referenced above. In my opinion these are sneaky tactics and they should be ashamed of their business practices. For a platform that is supposed to help people become better versions of themselves, they should have better more ethical business practices. Shame on them. I know if they do respond this, they will just outlay a timeline, this is not about a timeline, this is about better and more honest business practices. I know I clicked the button for the terms so that's on me, but this kind of business practice has to stop.Beachbody, LLC

1 starIf I could give zero stars I would. I called in to cancel the on line digital membership in 2023 and was told it's fine I am cancelled, so I thought no more charges. Now it's 2024 and they charged me again. I filled out a whole form that they only used to say they reviewed but no refund. Once I cancelled I am not interested in the company again. They said I filled out a form that cancelled only half. But here is the thing. I did not fill out a form ever, I called in and that person on the phone filled out the form on my behalf and they said they will cancel me completely and they did not do the job correctly and this is very extremely misleading, because their customer service does not service the customer and I could not legally record the call and now what do I do?!The fact that I have not used the service at all, in the last 12 months, I logged on 2 times and in the last 10 months I never logged in. I thought I was cancelled. That's why i didn't use it in 2023-2024 at all. You can see my history! Cancelled by phone in the first 2 months and now charged a new whole new 12 months from 2024-2025 !! Are you joking? Doesn't cancelling via phone in month 2 and then not using the service for 10 months after speak volumes. Please. Find another way to rip people off. Deceitful to say the least.Beachbody, LLC

1 starAutomatic Renewal They automatically renew you and WILL NOT cancel this renewal. They send out an email that dosen't even represent that it is a renewal notice and spam additional emails. Initial yearly plan was ***** and this year they auto renewed for ****** and refuse to reimburse because DIGITAL payment does not allow for 30 days money back. This is their reponse "We didn't receive any requests to cancel the BODi Annual Membership until 06/28/2024 via phone support or self-service.
