    Change in price that is almost double the amount. I initially started paying $99 a year for a subscription. Price then rose to $119.88 and then skyrocketed to $179. I had note received information stating this would happen. I am very unhappy with this company and their lack of transparency. I contacted them to cancel and to get a refund. Of course I had to go online and cancel it myself but they refuse to refund me my money. This is absurd.

    Upon reviewing your account, we have confirmed that on September 30, 2019, you purchased an annual Beachbody On Demand membership. Prior to completing your purchase, you were required to agree to the terms and conditions. Within those terms, you agreed to automatic renewals which required you to cancel your BODi membership to prevent future charges and eliminate access. We communicated via email 35-days prior to your renewal that Beachbody On Demand was being discontinued and replaced with our brand-new product called BODi.
    We assure you that our notification communication informing of the price increase met industry standards and requirements.

    Our systems shows that we sent you an email about the BODi upgrade on August 26, 2023. On September 30,2023, your annual BODi (previously Beachbody On Demand) membership renewed.
    Your annual BODi membership was cancelled on November 13, 2023.You will continue to have access until September 30, 2024.

    On 10/9 I ordered a total solution pack. This included 20 servings of shakeology and montly Bodi on demand. The day after I placed the order I canceled the monthly subscription as to avoid being charged the following month in the event I did not want to continue. This caused the on demand portion of the bundle to be canceled without knowing. I contacted customer support or suggested I return the shakeolgy, get a refund, and re order. This process sounds like it would take weeks- when I am motivated to start my weightloss journey. I've also already opened the shake and used a portion. I would hope there could be a better quicker solution to use the products I paid for. I would desperately just like my subscription reinstated for the 30 days. Order number *********

    I received an e-mail from beachbody in October 2023 saying that my recurring payment for the beachbody subscription would be increasing. I responded asking them to cancel my subscription (see below). The subscription was not cancelled and I was billed the higher rate of $119.88 (that I did not authorize) in December 2023. this is the e-mail I sent: ******************************* <*************************>Sun, Oct 23, 2022, 10:40?AM to Beachbody I didnt realize I had a subscription.     I bought a BeachBody on demand program March 17, 2022. It was a 12-month membership for $99 (see attachment). I was not aware until recently that I was chargeed $179.00 on March 17, 2023 for a new program called BODi. It was auto-renewed and I went in and cancelled that say (again, see attachment). I was provided an email that said it was cancelled (see other attachment). The email says nothing about them continuing with the charge. Also, Beachbody provided the following language which proves that if I cancelled within a certain amount of days I wouldn't be charged ("All BOD customers were notified of the change via the email address on their account ******* prior to renewal. We also provided a 30-day money back guarantee in addition to the 35-day notice. In total, you had 65-days to contact us to cancel, or 30-days post the charge to cancel and get a free refund.)" I cancelled the SAME day.I tried submitting a dispute to BeachBody and they denied it, saying it "When you enrolled with Beachbody On Demand, you checked the box to accept the Terms and Conditions below those terms are still applicable to your BODi membership." They wouldn't send me the terms and conditions for the Beachbody on demand program that i originally purchased, only the **** one which just says the "BODi Membership: After 1 year, you'll automatically continue your membership for $179 (plus applicable taxes), billed every 12 months in advance to the credit card you provide today, until you cancel. Manage or cancel your membership anytime by clicking here." I never actually wanted the BODi program and my BeachBody on demand program should have been automatically updated to it.I request a refund of $179.00 since I didn't even know I was billed for an active account for the last 8 months, and I did cancel on the day of the auto renewal. Thank you!

    In May 2022, I wrote to the company OpenFit, after they notified customers that they were going to be acquired by the company BeachBody BODi in July of 2022, and asked them to cancel my membership, which they said they would. I have attached that communication.In 2023, I noticed that my bank account was charged in Nov. 2022 by BeachBody BODi for for $105.84 for an annual membership. I called them to cancel the membership, which I had been told the prior year would be canceled, and asked if I could be refunded. They said they would cancel the membership and it would not be renewed, but could not refund me. I asked if this could be escalated to a manager, which they said they would.I just noticed today that a charge of $197.35 from BeachBody BODi was pending in my bank account, indicating charge for renewal of another annual membership. I spoke with them today via their websites chat function asking to cancel my membership and if they could refund the charge from 2022. I have attached that chat. They said they would cancel my membership but could not refund the 2022 charge. I asked whom I could speak with about this, and they said there was nobody I could speak with, and my only other option with be to fill out a dispute resolution. I decided not to submit a dispute resolution because it contains the below verbiage that you had to agree to: I understand that all decisions are final and non-negotiable. After the decision is made, there is no additional recourse or means of escalating this matter.I would like the November 2022 charge of $105.84 for the annual membership with Beach Body BODi to be refunded, as I was told that my membership would be canceled prior to that. I never used the membership or logged into a BeachBody account.Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks so much,*********

    On October 20th I was charged $179 dollars for an auto charge I was not aware of. I thought the account was canceled but was charged on my credit card. I tried to contact the company by phone and email but cannot get any help. I want to have the account canceled and would like a refund please.

    I subscribed to Beach Body for $99 for 12 months on 9/17/20. I raerly used the program because it was not user friendly to get it on the computer or TV. I cancelled the subscription, after convering with my site coach, in Aug 2021 since the renewal was set for 9/16/21. I assumed it was cancelled and never realized the cancellation was never processed until just now...2 years later when I was charged $189.74 on 9/16/23. Looking back at my statements, I see they charged me the previous year also. Amazing. This company no longer provides their customers a phone number to voice a complaint. The website is very AI generated and it takes persistence to even get an "agent" on the chat. The standard response is "no refund for you". This is a terrible company who rips people off and should be reported to the State and ** ************************* for a class action suit for fraudulant business practices in the manner it makes it extremely difficult to get confirmation of a cancellation or resolution that rarely, if ever, results in a refund to the customers.

    Response to Beach Bodys response to complaint:

    I find it amazing that you state you had given proper notice of automatic subscription renewal via the email you provided. Im also amazed that I even opened it, but you say you have technology that states I did, but did it also show that it was probably discarded immediately into the trash and probably not even read,because, from what you provided for me to review in response to my compliant,appears to be more a solicitation of a new product and not a clear notification of a renewal notice. I would not even have been looking for a renewal notice since I believed I had already cancelled the subscription in 2021.

    More importantly, I feel that to prove their case, that Beach Body needs to provide evidence of the email of renewal notification for 2022. I have requested it twice, and twice I have not received it. Beach Body was required by law, as per the settlement of a $6.3 million settlement of a 2017 lawsuit,to send out clear notifications to their subscribers of an upcoming auto-renewal. They never sent anything in 2022. If they did, they should provide proof of it. If they did, we would not also be arguing about 2023,because the subscription would have been cancelled in 2022 upon receipt of that renewal notice.
    That is the cornerstone of my argument. They failed in their duty in 2022, which has me paying for 2022 and 2023. If they provide the proof of the 2022 notification to me of my pending subscription renewal sent to my email as required by the lawsuit settlement, then I will be satisfied that I have loss this he said,she said argument. But, if they cannot provide such proof, much like I cannot provide proof of my cancellation in 2021, then I say, like *******, we should split the difference. They should be able to keep the 2022 renewal fee and they should refund me the 2023 renewal fee.  I hope you see it the same way.

    BeachBody is a company that *** be breaking monopoly and price gauging laws in *******. While there are many fitness websites out there, BeachBody buys smaller companies that own popular workouts. Once they purchase the company, merge it with their own, and bring over all the customers, they significantly raise annual rates with zero cheaper options. The customers choice is to pay or lose their workout program/routine, as it is no longer available anywhere else. For example, ************************* X-tend Barre program was on OpenFit, a website that cost $75 a year. BeachBody bought this company and merged all programming and customers. The price to access this program went from $75/year with OpenFit to $143.88/year with BeachBody. One year later, BeachBody has increased the price to $235/year. When you reach out to the company, they say they got rid of the old package, only have the new one available, and the only option is to pay or cancel. In dance fitness, ************************* and ************ are two of the most famous and popular, and BeachBody owns the rights to both with no ability to access these programs fully through any competitor websites or even DVD. This appears to possibly fall into both a monopoly, a control that makes possible the manipulation of prices and price gauging, the practice of increasing the prices of goods, services, or commodities to a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair. Additionally, they do not allow members to not have auto renew; the only way to cancel auto renew is to cancel your membership; however, they increase the auto renew price without notice. Thank you for taking the time to read my complaint and look into the issue. I have documentation, but I keep getting an error message.

    We have thoroughly reviewed your account details and contact history. Please see the below details. We have provided additional details to your email address on file.
    In July of 2022, Openfit and Beachbody merged into one platform. Active Openfit subscribers were granted access at their current Openfit subscription cost, while also gaining access to the entire Beachbody digital workout program catalog (at no additional cost). Post migration, Openfit is no longer a standalone product. The product was discontinued and there is no way to enroll in Openfit as a standalone.
    Unfortunately, after your Openfit account migrated with **********************, we have confirmed that you cancelled the membership on July 28,2022, before your next scheduled renewal. Your account was removed from the active subscribers list (removing the deeply discounted pricing). On November 13, 2022, you signed up for an annual Beachbody On Demand membership. The membership was successfully cancelled on October 22, 2023, via self-service prior to the next scheduled renewal.
    In March of 2023, Beachbody On Demand was retired and no longer accepts new enrollments. Existing Beachbody On Demand subscribers were migrated over to the platform BODi (which includes content from Openfit,Beachbody On Demand and BODi).

    I am rejecting this response because my complaint surrounded BeachBody continually buying (what they call merging) with other companies and then raising prices with no alternatives other than full services, which borders on a monopoly and price gauging. I also contend that BeachBody, like other subscription services, should allow subscriptions without an auto renewal mandate. With OpenFit, I could cancel to maintain membership but not allow auto renew, which is what I was trying to do with my original subscription. Lastly, the email that was sent as notification stated YOUR MEMBERSHIP IS GETTING AN UPGRADE AND STARTING TODAY WE'RE GIVING YOU 35 DAYS OF FREE ACCESS. This email does not tell members other programs have been cancelled and this is your only choice; it sounds like simply an upgrade option. This should have been a merging email, like we got with OpenFit to inform of us big changes and notification of loss of an old program.

    Regarding automatic renewals, BODi is a subscription service, which requires automatic renewals to maintain the access to our programs. Unfortunately, you cancelled your membership on October 22,2023. If you wish to sign up again, please go to our website at teambeachbody.com.

    Beach body changed my shake flavor without me receiving a notification and sent me the different flavor. I do not want the flavor and am trying ship it back for free because it was their fault for sending something I did not order and charging me. I contacted them and they said that I can send it back but Id have to pay for my shipping. I told that is unacceptable. They said I can file a claim and the form tries to have me sign that they have the ultimate decision and its final. I do not want to sign something promising I give up my rights to disagree. After refusing to sign it they sent me the form again and ended the conversation. This is greedy and anti consumer tactic. Ive been buying from this company every month for the past 10 or so years at over $100 a month. If they want to ever have me as a costumer again, then they need to provide the shipping costs as well. Its like $10, I think they spare it.

    Beachbody charged me $240.80 today. I called costumer service and they said no charges were supposed to come out because my account was cancelled over 2 years ago now. They have literally no information to help me stop this from happening again. The same thing happened earlier this year, and I changed my card number and told my bank. They are STILL CHARGING ME EVEN WITH MY NEW CARD. I have reported it as fraud.
