1 starIf there was a negative star, Id give you 100 stars. Whenever I had issues, customer service gave me different guidance, then finally after more than 10 calls on my part, they sent me a replacement sim. I bought a new phone and wanted to simply transfer number to new phone. They didnt tell me they switched the number. I said I didnt want that switched. Then after sim download failed, I called again. Several calls and different information later, they tried to get me to pay for a new sim activation, then after my complaining angrily they sent me another one. They switched my number again. The dude said hed call, and didnt actually call. Then several more calls, Im fed up at this point. I call to have my number released because Im raging angry with how they treated me. I find out that the two times I thought they helped me, they switched my number without telling me. After I told them I want to keep my number. I had to start a request to get number back from them and finally got codes I needed that night. Terrible company, terrible service, terrible customer service. Never going back and I recommend strongly against falling for their advertising. Dont go mint mobile.Mint Mobile

1 starI bought a 1 yr plan but had to travel suddenly. Mint promised a refund that never materialized. I had to make numerous calls for a promised credit. I tried to use the credit 2 years later and got the run around. I asked to purchase a 3 month plan with an additional 3 months free in December 2022 for $45. The representative put me on a trial sim while they work in the back end to charge me from the owed credit. Instead of the $45 plan they charged me $120 for a 6- months I never authorized. The $120 plan was no different from the $45 plan I requested. In essence, Mint Mobile googled up the credit on my account without my authorization and have refused to redress the situation. This is a dishonorable business practice.Mint Mobile

1 starWe had the account 12 days, the phone worked for maybe 2 of those days. They randomly shut the account down twice making me call in to try and get it fixed, all while our daughter was away in another city without a way to contact us. The second time we called to figure out what was going on they gave us the complete runaround. Between myself and my husband calling/texting for several hours and being shuffled back and forth we finally landed with a manager (only by demanding it and not letting the agent put us on hold until the manager came on, as THEY WILL LEAVE YOU ON HOLD FOREVER).The manager finally said that he initiated a full refund and that we would receive an email confirmation within ***** hours. Four days later we called back, got the complete runaround AGAIN, and was told that the agent on the line couldn't see any notes or anything that something was initiated. MINT MOBILE IS ****, FULL OF LYING AGENTS WHO JUST WANT TO GET RID OF YOU, AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS.I have been on hold to speak to a manager AGAIN about the refund he promised he initiated for 120+ minutes and counting.Mint Mobile

1 starMint mobile was contacted several times over the last month on recorded lines agreeing to pay a referral fee of $135 for the 3 lines that were referred to them by me.Now, after six calls, 3 weeks, promises for return calls, promises to apply credit, I'm at the point of filing reports with the *** and the ***** I encourage everyone to do so at this point. Mint is giving us all the run around. In fact, I think the *** and CFPB should be investigating them by now. I don't have a hope in the world Mint will actually deliver on their word. We'll likely only get a nice apology here and promise to handle it with no action taken like everyone else.Mint Mobile

5 starsI signed up for a 12 month plan. Their rates are great at $15 a month and service coverage is pretty good as is their data limits for the price. However, only when I got to the checkout did they add a "RECOVERY FEE" of $18.50. Nowhere else on their site does it state that a recovery fee applies until you get to the checkout. Come on Mint, please don't be like the rest, and be upfront with all your fees and charges rather than nickel and diming ** at the last moment.Mint Mobile

1 starI purchased a phone thru the Mint website/store and a day later called to cancel the purchase. I was informed by customer service the phone had shipped and I needed to wait until it was received, which would be that Saturday, to request a return. I called 2 days later which was Monday to request the return. I received an email indicating the shipping fee and a restocking fee of 20 to 50% depending on the condition and completeness of the return. I immediately called to get clarification of the fees. After several calls and disconnections I asked for a supervisor. She agreed the fee was high but said the warehouse would make a decision that day regarding waiving or discounting the restock fee. Didn't receive the email therefore called several more times. One rep said the fee was $30 but needed to verify the info. He indicated some one would call me by close of business. I requested the email address and phone number to the corporate office. After several more calls, I was finally told they didn't have that information. The last supervisor I spoke with said he could see that the warehouse was pinged for a reminder to contact me. He would send another ping and to wait to process my return to get the email from the warehouse. I have yet to get an email and it has been over a week. A restock fee that excessive on a brand new unopened phone is unreasonable considering they were aware I was cancelling the order prior to receiving it. I look forward to hearing from someone.Mint Mobile

1 starMint Mobile might be cheaper than other phone plans, but it is not worth it. The eSIM activation link only works one time. If something happens (i.e. your Wi-Fi cuts out in the middle of activation, or you accidentally close the tab), you will not be able to activate the eSIM using this method. This happened to me, so I was on the phone with multiple people for an entire afternoon to find an alternate way to activate my eSIM and connect my two accounts into one family account. They helped me use a manual activation method for my eSIM, but after this, connecting my two accounts into one family account required usage of the Mint Mobile app, and this app refused to work for me. It wouldnt let me create an account, so I had to create one through the website instead. But even after doing this, the app wouldnt let me log into my account. Ive never had any issues with SIM activation or family accounts with any previous phone carriers Ive used. This process has always taken just a few minutes, but at Mint, it took an entire afternoon, and the experience was beyond stressful for me. The customer service was incredibly incompetent, and at times, rude. At one point, the customer service rep threatened to hang up on me. They need to fix their technical issues and improve their customer service.Mint Mobile

1 star**************** is trash. They aren't empowered to do anything, and Mint Mobile has made solid efforts to ensure that there is no way to contact anyone other then their useless chat/phone customer service reps. **** that means is that you can talk to their ** reps about your issues, but if their ** reps ARE the issue, then too bad. I spent over an hour on their chat function, trying to get Transfer PINs for three numbers I pay for, and after over an hour, I was unable to get the ** rep to give me anything at all. **** they did do, was to offer me all kinds of deals and discounts, and try to negotiate deals with me on everything I did not ask for. I have a Copy/Paste of the chat, but what the chat log doesn't show is how much time is spent between responses. The ** reps will copy/paste some generic question like "Can I have your email address?" Then you give it to them (which takes about 5 seconds), then you wait a full two or three minutes for them to say "thank you for that". Then you wait another 2-3 minutes for them to ask the next question. And on and on and on. And when they do respond, half of their responses are entirely useless. "I need a tranfer PIN to port out".(3 minutes later)"I understand that you are look for an account number and Tranfer PIN. Is that correct?""yes"(3 minutes later)"Thank you for that! I will be happy to get that for you!""Thank you"(3 minutes later)"To verify, it is a Transfer PIN you are looking for, right?"I am convinced they do this knowing that if they keep you on the hook long enough, you will just go away. No one has the amount of time required to stay on a chat window with these people, and it's consistent enough that the management must know about it. It's entirely unacceptable, particularly since they provide no remedy. I am going to tell every single person I know to avoid Mint Mobile.Mint Mobile
