1 starSo after what I just experienced I really recommend that no one try mint mobile. The only way to contact them is via chat. I tried for 3 hours straight to get ahold of them by the phone number provided by the website and it was a busy signal the entire time. I finally got ahold of someone via text because I had a question about my order and after providing the information they cancelled my order without my permission and would not redo the order and said that even if I reordered it myself they wouldnt honor the 3 months free promotion because my original order didnt have the promotion on it. I provided a screenshot of their confirmation email they sent me which clearly states the order included the 3 month promotion but they told me it was a glitch in the system and I didnt actually have the 3 months free on my order.Mint Mobile

1 starI had an awful experience trying to switch to Mint Mobile. Paid for a new iPhone 14 Pro and a full year of service up front. Received the phone and started the phone number transfer and activation process, which shut off my service from my former carrier, but the Mint Mobile service failed to activate.I spent many, many hours trying to get help from their customer service who kept on making me wait and failing to solve the issue. Meanwhile I had no phone service / cellular service for nearly a week, which was a big problem because I work from home but haven't had a landline in years. Finally I gave up and activated the phone on T-Mobile and asked Mint Mobile to refund me for the service portion only. They refused and insisted that I mail the phone back in its original packaging, which because almost two weeks had passed by then, I no longer had it. I told them again I did not want to return the phone and was asking for a refund for the service portion only, and they gave me the same response again. I disputed the service charge with my credit card, who issued a refund. Mint Mobile then fraudulently reported the iPhone that I bought from them as lost or stolen, causing it to be blacklisted. My T-Mobile service then stopped working on that phone and I had to buy another new phone, because a blacklisted phone cannot be activated by any provider. Mint Mobile is a fraud company with horrible customer service. ************************* is a loser with a fraudster company who has no business in business. From now on I'm sticking with companies that have an actual in person store where I can go and get help, instead of wasting hours upon hours of my life trying to get help from bs online companies like Mint Mobile.Mint Mobile

1 starI had the plan for 1 year and paid for my phone in full. When my contract ended, I decided to go to another company. My phone, purchased in full through Mint, has been locked for 4 days. Ive spoken to countless representatives for hours on end. The first person was unable to find my order number. It wasnt until day 4 someone else was able to. All the while a back office IT ticket was created to have my phone unlocked. I was guaranteed by the supervisor it would be done by the end of the day. It was not. He hung up on me and no further communication. Called this morning and spoke with a supervisor and manager. Manager was not helpful and also just hung up after I said I would not be referring Mint. He told me I had to wait ***** hours. No phone for potentially 7 days. This is a safety concern for me and seems like a huge unnecessary liability for the company. There needs to be better training on staff but specifically the supervisor and account manager. I would NOT recommend Mint after this.Mint Mobile

1 starI have been a customer for over two years and have never had an issue.. some sportiness over the last couple of months but still stayed with them and loved them.. the customer service is a joke!! I will be contacting PayPal and my bank.. It was supposed to be the 10gb 12 month plan I was getting.. thats not what I wanted. I was told my two different agents that I would be refunded.. then the second one tells me I have the three month with 4gb its 10!! I cant believe ************************* actually owns this company I got the run around for 45 mins.. what kind of professional changes the responses SEVERAL times.. well since you did this, we can change the email I need you to verify this, I need you to verify that in the end I was told I would be given a refund. Then the next rep said a refund in ***** hours.. at 1:18AM I am texted I will no longer be getting my refund. I will be sharing the conversation threads EXTREMELY UNPROFESSSIONAL. I would rather have no phone service at all than this kind of customer serviceMint Mobile

1 starMy mother lost her sim card in another country. I attempted to contact customer service via phone and chat. *here was no resolution. We had just asked for a simple reset of the password connected to the account. *heir system for forgotten password is to send a verification number to the phone. I told them we did not have access to the number. After verifying 3 or 4 local numbers (seemed to depended on the person verifying the account) that were called from my mother's phone, the customer service chatter would tell me to call the customer service number. *he customer service line would only allow me to submit 'technical report' or get information about my own line. I had to keep recalling three times till the computer answered with 'there seems to be a problem, let me connect you with a customer service representative' then I was able to talk to a human. *he associate promptly told me she could do nothing about my mother's account even though she had an email connected to the account. My family paid for a entire year a head to remove the headache of paying monthly but the customer care team and the systems seem to only care about the customer repaying to resolve the issues. *hey ask you multiple times to connect credit cards and to pay for the sim even though the * sim is available for free, two times a year. If you have elderly parents or young children that misplace things or travel, I do not recommend this company. *he moment there is a problem they'll give you a script and expect you to pay all over again. *he customer service team is not helpful. *he service was okay around *****************. I end up loosing service a lot even if I've been in the same location before and not have a problem. I don't know if its because of the * mobile network towers.Mint Mobile

1 starI ordered 2 phone and ******** month unlimited plans, I received the phones quickly but the didn't come with sim card therfore cannot be used. After multiple calls to customer service I received one sim card a month later. Call center is worthless, hard to understand, just a waste of time. Go to a box store where you can speak to people and get real help. Don't waste your time or money with mintMint Mobile

1 starBiggest Scam in Mobile Service. I switched to Mint Mobile in Aug 2022. The service is absolutely atrocious. Missed/ dropped calls all day every day. My contacts would receive my calls and texts from some random number . After several bouts with their tech support ( factory reset of phone several times and even a replacement SIM) over a 2 1/2 month period, I switched back to my previous carrier. That's when I learned that the I am not eligible for ANY refund of the remaining prepaid service. I Prepaid for 12 months( almost $400) and used their worthless service for 79 days and they won't refund anything even though it is well documented, in their system, that the service NEVER worked for me. Theft is the only word for this. I cannot understand how this scam is still in business. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!!!!! They have stolen almost $300 from me and their only answer is "Sorry, our refund policy only covers the first 7 days of service". Mint Mobile should be shut down permanently.Mint Mobile

1 starI tried to move my phone number to Mint Mobile and they could never get the phone number to work. I was given a ticket # CRT53582, to get the 6 month plan refunded ($210 and change) and was told that it would take 20 days. Found out they are refusing to refund the money that I spent on a 6 month plan because the original sim card came from Amazon. Why would Amazon pay for something I got off their app. That doesn't make sense. They owe the refund not Amazon.Mint Mobile

1 starThe best thing I can say about Mint is that it's cheap. While it's true that I am paying a fraction of what I paid for years on ******* and ***** the service is weak in most areas, non-existent in others (e.g. on rapid transit in ***, where I live, and in most of the places I travel to.) The most irritating thing about Mint, however, is their false advertising. The cutesy tone would be bad enough, but the offer of money for referrals (when I signed up it was $15 for both the existing and the new customer; now. for **** and ******* customers, they are offering $100 and/or free months) is totally false. It seems they have no intention of actually making good on these promises. My partner was reasonably satisfied with his service after month and referred me. I used the *** card they sent him to share with a new customer and actually got a representative to walk me through all the steps so we'd both get the credits promised on our renewals. We got nothing. After the first set of calls to customer service with none of the promised email confirmations and set of false "reference numbers" that were obviously made up and useless, it ceased to be about the measly $30 we were promised. It was just interesting to see how far we'd have to go to get $15 out of this company for a pre-paid one-year plan. After one of the most dissembling customer service calls ever (my fourth attempt!) I actually got $15, which put a dent in the questionable fees attached to my renewal. I will not be surprised to see a number of people here complaining they did not receive the $100 for switching or encouraging a friend to switch 3 months from now, nor will I be surprised to see a response from Mint here that goes something like "Hello,So sorry to hear that. We'll have one of our agents reach out to assist you.Thank you.Mint Mobile" But Hey, Mint Mobile, as one of your reluctantly active customers, I encourage you to surprise me!Mint Mobile

Wow. So it's verbatim the response I so cynically expected...without any apology! I got an automated email demanding a reply within 48 hours or the case would be closed. I replied. Not sure I am going to waste any more time with this.
