1 starSo I recently purchased a 3 month unlimited plan with Mint Mobile which cost me about $99.98 with taxes. A few days after the purchase, I also bought a new phone. I didnt think switching the phone service over to my new phone would be a big deal but it was. Somehow during the process I lost access to my service account with **********************. Meaning I couldnt utilize the service on my new phone or my old phone. I contacted customer service through chat and phone and no one could help me get back in, so I purchased another phone service from a different company. Naturally, I reached back out to mint mobile to receive a refund seeing as it had only been a few days after my purchase which meant I was *********** a full refund as it was less than seven days after I made the purchase. On a call I was assured by a customer service agent that I would get a refund, apparently that customer service agent lied to me because I never received the refund. I called back five days later and was again promised a refund that never arrived into my bank account so it seems as though I have lost out on my $100 as well as a phone service that I was never able to access again after the initial 3 to 4 days. I gave up with mint mobile and decided to file a claim with my bank which was denied after they contacted mint mobile. I was not expecting my claim to be denied as I kind of assumed that the mint mobile refund process was just slow, but now it seems as though they never intended to refund my money, even though thats what I was promised, twice. I would beware if wanting to purchase a phone service from this company as it seems that their customer service associates arent as helpful as they claim to be. Also, you could possibly end up paying for a service that you will not receive.Mint Mobile

1 starBuyer beware.Their coverage map is solely for advertising and does not reflect the actual coverage in your area.I fell victim to trying to their false advertising and ended up spending most of my day trying to cancel their service and backtrack to my former provider.Mint Mobile

1 starI switched to Mint Mobile because I had heard good things about them. I didn't realize what a huge mistake I'd made until I left the house. Then my internet service stopped working. I had been using wifi and wasn't getting an internet connection, but still had phone service. I called them and was told to make some network changes which I did, but that didn't fix the problem. I got worried because I had an e-ticket for a show that evening and called again. I was then told that the reason my internet wasn't working was I was out of data. I had just switched five days before, I told them, how could I have used 5 Gb of data. The tech support guy said I must have been watching a lot of movies on my phone--which I have never done--or my kids were playing a lot of video games on it--I don't have kids. He wasn't me to pay additional funds to increase my data allocation. I didn't seem right so I didn't. Instead, I checked my data usage. I had used 1% of my data. So I called again. I was assured they would have a resolution before my 7PM show and they would call me at 6:30. They didn't and I couldn't access my $160 e-ticket. It took a dozen more calls before the resolved the problem on their end, including replacing the *** card. In the meantime, I was told twice that my phone was locked--it wasn't--and that I should buy a new phone from them because mine was the problem. It was a horrible, costly experience.Mint Mobile

1 starI signed up for the promotional deal that was active during October of 2023. I signed 4 lines over to use the unlimited $15/month plan and under Mints own FAQ there is a drop down item you can click and it says If I purchased a 3-month plan at an introductory price. What will the cost of my plan be when I renew? After you have tried our service and know what data plan is right for you, then you can choose the length of plan depending on how clever you want to get; 3, 6 or 12 months.Mint Tip: You can lock in our introductory 3-month pricing by renewing for 12 months.Log into your account at mintmobile.com/login anytime to view our available plans and pricing. So a logical person would take this to mean your $15 unlimited plan is renewable and able to be maintained at the price of $15 for unlimited for another 12 months after the initial 3 months. This Mint Tip is my complaint! They are dishonest and falsely advertise! Nowhere on this page does it say that by lock in our introductory 3-month pricing by renewing for 12-months they actually mean downgrade from unlimited to 5gb to maintain the $15/month plan!I already called MINTech and complained and they gave me a bunch of excuses and read from their usual scripts about how they didnt misrepresent a deal. Swindlers, the lot of em!Mint Mobile

1 starMint Mobile customer service was Horrible. After 6 days of trying to get phone service, I cancelled.Talked to 8 different people each telling me what the problem was, each a different story, saying they would send me the email activation but not doing that, saying they would personally call me back and not doing that, not letting me talk to a supervisor, telling me I needed to call Apple when I have an android pixel phone.Telling me my phone was compatible for esim activation, then telling me I needed to call ****** to unlock the phone, never telling me in the beginning of the sign up I need to have my previous carrier unlock my phone.I heard that after 3 days of calling customer service. 8 calls, 6 days of no service and it continues.Get generating service tickets but no one could tell me the problem. The last stray was the 8 th customer service agent said my name and email did not match in their system so he could not proceed. Horrible. I am a senior with no land line so vital to have a cell phone up and running.I asked who I could write to about this situation so they could use it as a learning opportunity, he said there was no one.Sometimes employees hard to understand. No customer service skills. They did apologize a lot and say, we understand, but they really did not Not good at listening or communicating The problem.Never got it resolved.Said it's an easy switch.BUYERS BEWARE.CHEAPER not always Better.Mint Mobile

1 starAbsolute garbage experience with this company. I must strongly encourage you to reconsider any purchase from Mint Mobile. I purchased a phone and service through them on October 30, 2023. First, there is no guidance on the website, which has a subpar user interface, about which SIM to get with which phone despite offering all on their website. So a physical SIM arrives for a phone that requires an eSIM. They manage to make the eSIM switch relatively seamless, though they say they are going to confirm with me via one method and instead email me at a different email address so it sits unseen for a day or two until I follow up again.Once the eSIM is added, I have intermittent access to texts via my WIFI but the cellular service never works, despite several more calls and chats with service team, in one instance a service rep says they will mark my request urgent and have someone call me back in 24 hours. I miss the first call (on my phone line on ******** an always reliable service), and they call again and I answer. They hang up on me after I say "hello" - I can only guess because it's 8:59pm ET, their service hours end at 9pm ET and they don't want to get into it as they're about to leave for the day. The following day I call and request a full refund. The following day, they text and email me that my refund request is denied because I'm outside of the seven day window of service "trial".I call back again and instruct them to review this, again, and refund me because the trial does not apply as the service never worked and I'm not paying for a phone / service that never worked. A manager assures me a full refund will be processed and it will take about five days. I received an email Friday Nov 24 that they have, once again, denied my refund request as being outside the seven days... despite delays, miscommunicated expectations, hang-*** on their end and every ******* attempt on my part to get this service to work.Run. Run the other way from Mint Mobile.Mint Mobile

1 starWould NOT recommend! ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Purchased 3 phones on 9/23/2023. Received them on 9/29/2023, then it all went to h*** We got 2 of the 3 phone numbers "activated", but could not activate the phones. We made SEVEN calls between 10/2/2023 and 11/26/2023 as they were "Locked" and that the phone was "Not Registered on the Network". Multiple times we were told "it was a known temporary issue with T-Mobile" in our area AND to "be patient". Three times we were told they would call back... never got a call. Never once were we transferred to a "Supervisor" as the issue was continuing and only once transferred to a "Tech". I had to specifically ask to be transferred to a "Supervisor" to which the agent played the part of the shield and was forced to go through all the issues again with me before transferring. When I asked to speak with a Manager, the Supervisor then went into delay mode and said the Manager will say the same thing. Then when I insisted on being transferred to a Manager, she says she will "escalate it", but that will probably come to the same results. After I said I would reach out to my ******************* to try and get refunded by Mint Mobile, she suggest I should contact my ******************* to have them work with Mint Mobile to see if we can get a refund. So long story short, they delayed us repeatedly, never returned calls, and essentially, when we finally had enough and wanted a refund, the response was "too bad" we can't refund after so many days. They asked us to be patient, which we were, then they stepped behind us, bent us over and did the deed WITHOUT the courtesy of lubricant. EACH phone call made lasted well over 30minutes of going over the same issues again and again almost in an attempt to see if I could outlast them. From my perspective, this company is a SCAM and an absolute TRAIN WRECK when it comes to service! I can only hope this post does MORE service by sparing someone else the heartache we've endured.Mint Mobile

1 starLong story short, this company has stolen $202.00 from me. I signed up for their service in July 2023, and they were running a promotion for $15 a month unlimited talk and data. When I paid, they demanded I pay for a year in advance to get the discount, which was the $202, which I did. After a couple of days, I realized this service was not for me. The data already ran out, which was supposed to be unlimited, and the phone service dropped multiple calls. This is when I switched service providers to TMobile, who I currently use, and requested a refund. This process, to say the least, was a complete scam. The company is run by a scammer group from *****, which they are stealing consumers information daily, and they kept sending me to different people who would make up names and tell me they were working on it. In August, I spent at least 40 hours on multiple days and occasions of calling in, trying to get this refund. If this company had any integrity, they would contact me to rectify this. If further evidence is needed, I can provide call records, bank statement showing where I paid, and emails I received from someone named "****" who said they wouldn't be giving me my money back. Thanks for your consideration.Mint Mobile

1 starAttempted to renew son's 12 mo. plan for $240. Accidently selected a much more expensive plan. $392 was charged to my credit card. IMMEDIATELY contacted Mint to correct. Was promised a refund of the over-charge. Have screen shots of promises. One week later, **** refuses refund. They chose to KEEP the surplus amount as a credit toward next year's renewal without my permission. Outrageous.Mint Mobile
