I created a website using Wix and I wanted to connect my domain to wix. On 2/26/25 I begin conversations with Namecheap's support team via email and couldn't get this resolved. On multiple occasions I've reached out requesting an authorization code so that wix can complete the task for me because 1 I don't have time and 2 I'm not a techy suffice it to say I'm going around in circles with these people. They keep making request of me like a pin number and I have given it each time they ask however they refuse to my request. This is absolutely the worst company in any industry to do deal with. They don't have a telephone number, so I think this is the reason behind them ignoring customers. I find them to be morally reprehensible I hate this company I have wasted a whole day just trying to have my domain connectedInitial Complaint

I purchased a Domain and website hosting from NameCheap and within days I started receiving phones calls. It started out as 1-2 per day. It is up to nearly 20 per day now. They are asking me if I need help to design my website. My phone number is not on my website or any other public forum. The only place my phone number was associated with the website was through NameCheap. I immediately got a ****** Voice number and changed it on NameCheap, but it was too late. I have had my same phone number since I first got a cell phone over 25 years ago and do not want to change my number. I am on the DO Not Call Registry even. I never received one single SPAM call prior to this. I believe NameCheap sold my phone number to telemarketers.Initial Complaint

Order 2 domains + a hosting package as a first time customer. 10 minutes after I paid, my account is locked and I get an email stating I have to send bank statements in. I did that, get unlocked, next day my domains are shut down but hosting is still active due to abuse?? NO email, no refund nothing. Now they wont refund me or honor their 30 day money back. They advertise they provide DNS API based management then when you buy a domain they say you have to be paying more per year to be able to use it than is advertise pre paying for a domain. This is false advertising and you don't know the requirements for the api till after you buy a domain. Transfer Dispute opened against ***************************** with *****. ***** is the domain governing body aka the registry. Icann sided against ***************************** and ***** found them colluding and at full fault. I got email from ***** complaints telling me what ******* said that ******* gone ahead now unlocked domain names that namecheap never should have sent to *******. As my domains unlocked and ready to head outbound to namecheap, namecheap ***** and I are waiting upon to hurry it up already, contact the ******* team/admin and have be -in domaining terms- a 'domain push' start for all one.com-possessed domains of mine.Initial Complaint

1/10/2025 opened an account with ******************** domain (fishinghorizon) was transferred to my account attempted to purchase hosting for the domain; however, they requested information which i could not provide funds were refunded since i could not provide the requested information my account still remains locked and the domain unuseable to this point since they insist that i provide information which i cannot or now provide photo id which i refuse...at not time during account generation, nor when the domain was transferred to me was any of this verification required and since those are the only actions still in effect on my account verification should not be required...Initial Complaint

I purchased a domain to use with my newsletter on the Ghost platform this morning. I had some difficulty setting it up and was locked out of my account. I sent frustrated emails to customer service and risk management and have yet to hear anything. My next call is to my bank to cancel my debit card and report it as fraud.Initial Complaint

As we have told NameCheap both in numerous emails and in chat we wanted to cancel due to the immediate hack upon purchase (11/7/24). We tried numerous times to address our issues to no avail. They just keep sending emails and lies. Company refused to do the right thing and just cancel our purchase (which was a the very next day stating it had to be done in the account to which we did not have access based on their suspension of the account. They continued to send threatening emails noting non payment and suspension indicating a threat to our credit rating. We just gave up after numerous emails and chats stating we just go ahead and pay them and immediately request cancellation but couldnt get into the account because of a double authentication issue. Told issue could only be resolved with risk management to which another series from security kept insisting on getting copies of my ID (which were never required upon purchase) for resolution. Told them I would NOT send my ID info and they said they would call. Made appointment date and time. I waited 40 minutes beyond the time designated. No call came. They sent an email stating they tried numerous times which is a lie because my phone logs all calls coming into the line even if I dont answer them. It showed no missed call. I fully expect to see resolution of this immediately. I do not believe the CEO, ******* ********** would state that what has happened to us would be considered rockstar customer support and that they do not honor the **** definition of buyers remorse, especially in light of being immediately hacked upon purchase.
