On 5/19 my husband and I booked moving help from the company.We did not receive the services and was only told so after payment. We never received the service nor our refund. I was charged $184.15 for moving help, who never came nor contacted me. I have sent an email & attempted to use the live chat feature on the website, the only means available to contact customer support, and gotten no reply. I made arrangements for this service through the ***** app, but ***** representatives deny any authority to address the situation, claiming that moving help.com is a separate business. But, the movinghelp.com website has powered by ***** displayed prominently in their header, and the chat bot on movinghelp.com is named *****. I expect that my inquiries will result in being told that movinghelp.com has no control over local movers listed on their service, with the excuse that they are independent contractors. The movers in question were named moverz, all lowercase. This appears to be a Russian Doll scam. A ***** representative I spoke to said it happens all the time. All communication was via ***************** so I have no supporting documents.Business Response

On May 4, 2023 I paid ****** for moving assistance for the morning of May 5. The **haul app was not working properly and no matter how many times I selected "morning" in place of "afternoon," the app kept reverting to afternoon. I went ahead and paid the money. I called the contracted mover from Movinghelp.com shortly after paying for the service to confirm that they could make a morning appt. He called me back later and confirmed a timeframe from 8-9 am for May 5. At 8:50 AM on May 5, I contacted the mover via text messenging. He stated that his friend got into a car accident. I repeatedly asked him for an ETA. At about 9:00 he gave me an ETA of "56 minutes" I explained that my Air BnB checkout time was 10 AM. I had no choice but to load the truck myself. It would have taken 2 guys about 30 minutes. I took me about 1 hour. I requested a refund by calling customer service, but they told me they could not help. I attempted to go through website, but there is a process in place where the customer and mover are set up to argue it out. Literally. The mover mislead and lied until I stopped engaging. There is a button in the argument section that says "Close," and no other button such as "Unresolvable" or "I need help" *********** just leaves the customer and mover in a virtual boxing match with no way out, and no way to ask for help from customer service. It just lingers there without any intervention. I tried calling, but I can't get through. They don't staff the phones sufficiently. I had to go through **haul to get transferred for the first call to reach out to customer service.Business Response

I paid $200 for movers to show up several weeks before my move date. On the day, my movers ********************************************* didn't show up. I couldn't get ahold of anyone. This cost me hundreds of dollars because I couldn't leave my apartment and violated my lease. This business shouldn't be allowed to operate. The movers we used through their service came and then left without saying a word and did not do the job, they then blocked my husband's phone number, my number went through and they hung up on me. HEFTY **** moving from ********* **. We also had to pay upfront We waited on hold with uhaul for an hour to be told we would have to re book and pay again, no refund since they do not control the moving company, but we paid through uhaul and booked them through Uhaul's website?I want a full refund for the moving service immediately since the job was not done.Business Response

I booked an appointment with ********** today, at 2 PM. Appointment was moved several times by this contractor, operating from phone number *****************, even though amount was prepaid and the extremely simple requirements were clearly spelled out. Business owner, if I can call him as such, kept delaying until now, at 4:30 PM decided to become belligerent and threatening if I didnt tip his guys more than the generous 20% that I offered from the get-go. 2. You received an email to verify your account. Open this to finish the verification process.
3. Access your account and click the job number (JB-) you wish to cancel.
4. Scroll down and locate Cancel this job by clicking here
5. Follow the prompts and check the box I would like to schedule another helper to create store credit.
6. Visit your Account Details page and click Credit/Certificate to retrieve your store credit number.
7. Start the order process on MovingHelp.com and submit the credit certificate number on the checkout page to utilize the funds. If additional funds are needed, enter your credit card information.Customer Answer

I am writing to elaborate on my communication with your customer service that has provided no reasonable resolution except deflecting responsibility. On Saturday I had a difficult experience with movers that was threatening and harassing. After the move completed they insisted I review and tip in front of them. I said no multiple times to which they said I must. Instead of two movers three people arrived and they stood around me demanding I complete the review and tip. As a single woman moving I was noticeably upset. They claimed I should have been charged more for the move due to the booking being for a truck and I should reflect that in my review and tip. However I spoke with the company weeks before my move and confirmed my move for two hours and one pod. I have attached screenshots here where the company confirms the type of move and hours agreed upon. Once they left they then called me 7 times in ten minutes. When I answered they demanded I review them immediately saying It was a deal I had to complete immediately. I had to block the phone number or I would have received more calls. I have attached screenshots of these missed calls. Today once I left a one star review , they called me twice from a different number despite blocking their number. She demanded I take down the review. I asked for a refund and she declined saying I ruined her business. She then got upset and yelled You are a stupid b**** I hope you die in a hole. I have attached screenshots of the number I was called from today. ***** has claimed that these are third party contractors so they dont have any responsibility. This is not true. I booked movers from their website to ensure trusted professionals completed this service and instead I was sent immature unprofessional movers.Business Response

Uhaul/Movinghelp has not provided any means for resolution. One of the businesses that they are advertising for has threatened and harassed me. What steps are being taken to address this with the business? Furthermore, though the transcation was between myself and the mover, what steps did Uhaul/Moving help take to ensure that the businesses they advertise are credible?
It is not enough for a large corporation to say our user agreement means we take no responsibility. As a corporation you surely would like to be seen as offering credible services that are at the same caliber as the other services you offer. What terms do you require your movers to follow? Why is there no pathway for complaints with these businesses?

I went through uhaul to order a *********** requested moving help. The moving help comes from a company, movinghelp.com. I called to order movers. I was told the movers get paid after the last piece of furniture is moved into the house. There is an email I received confirming this. There is a code I have to give them so they get paid. Movinghelp took the money out of my account. The next day I cancelled the movers bc I found someone else. There is no phone number to contact this company, of course. I emailed them. She said 3-7 days for the money to be in my account. Its been 7 business days,And the money isnt in my account. I called ***** who instructed me to chat w this company. I was chatting and then my chats didnt go through. This is a horrible company. I want my money back. I also requested A transcript of the chat and never received it.Business Response

On March 2, 2023 I scheduled and paid for moving help to come to my home on March 10, 2023 at 11:30am. I emailed them to confirm my date and time because no one reached out to me. I reach out on Wednesday March 8th and they emailed me back conforming Friday March 10, 2023 at 11:30am. They called me the night before around 10:30pm asking me if I can change my time to really early or if I can be the last job around 2:00pm. I could not do earlier so I said ok I can do 1:30pm/2:00pm as long as they could guarantee they would be done by 4:00pm. The movers never came at the time they were supposed to come. They never showed. my original job time was 11:30am and they said they would come between 1:30pm/2:30. I called/ texted them at 2:15pm, 3:00pm, 3:30pm, and 4:00pm for them to say they were delayed because of the rain and I had to turn my uhaul truck in at 5:00pm. I told them If they could not come and perform the job I wanted a refund. They never showed and did not answer any of my calls. I put in a request for a refund but the status says I cancelled. I did not cancel my move. They did not do their job and I haven't heard anything back. These people are horrible and they have the right one. It's only a couple hundred dollars but It's my money and they don't deserve to have it. I have already stared legal action.Business Response

As that Provider is a separate company, you would want to reach out to them directly regarding anything further you have a concern with outside the marketplace.
We do see that the order was cancelled, meaning you were refunded for the service. A refund in the amount of $161.95 was placed back on your card yesterday. You will see that refund within 5-7 business days as two refunds, one for $5.95 and one for $156. This is the SECOND complaint I have filed with the BBB about Movinghelp.com. I got an email today, stating the case had been closed because I did not respond to an email sent but this is NOT resolved. I am disputing the following charges and have filed a complaint with my bank.On 12/19/22 - $5.95, $103.98 and $349.93 = ****** I have uploaded my bank statement. I do see that you booked two sets of movers. Both sets of Movers were refunded back to you. On 12.13.2022 you were charged $349.93 for Moving Help Service. On 12.15.2022 you were refunded 3 different amounts in the amount of $240, $103.98 and $5.95 totaling a refund at $349.93. On your bank statement it does show those 3 charges. As I do see all of those sent to you, you will want to connect with your bank directly as they were refunded already.
