      Purchased the protection for a 20-mile hike and it is a complete scam. I had all proper documentation including a note from my doctor that they were against me doing the hike since I have not been able to train due to being sick and it was denied. My doctor office actually told me that it is a HIPAA violation for them to even question a doctor's note. They wrote me a stronger note as to why I could not do it and just a few days after being denied, my ticket had been sold and no longer eligible to even submit my refund request. Very disappointed!!!!

      Listen to the reviews below. I used their FanShield ticket protection for *********** tickets at ************ on New Year's Eve. However we were unable to attend the activity due to severe weather on the day which park employees suggested was dangerous. I am unable to claim reimbursement because I need to present documentation of the severe weather event. This type of "coverage" is a misleading scam and I'm going to make sure other amusement park attendees avoid this "service" moving forward.

      Bought protection for tickets to *********. I came down with the flu and had to post pone the trip. My husband was then put on mandatory shut down for a plant in ** that had to have repairs done and this company will not refund our money. They said because he wasn't traveling it didn't count. He is traveling, traveling to his job to work 7 days a week 10 to 12 hours days until after January 6, 2025 when the shuttle down will be over. By reading what they will cover? It looks like if your not in the military, you don't count. DONT waste your money!!

      Requested a refund, and initially it seemed as if they process would be a quick and smooth one. They asked for documentation, which I provided as to why we could no longer attend the event. Then I received an email saying I could pick between my refund arriving via ******, Venmo, bank account may have been another option. I choose Venmo. I received an email saying Ticket Guardian had processed my refund and to click this button to Accept Disbursement. The link took me to the Venmo sign in page. I tried on my cell via the app, on the web browser on my phone, and on a laptop. There wasn't a single option where after I signed in there was somewhere for me to accept the disbursement. It's been over a week and I still have yet to get a response from anyone from both Venmo and Protecht. I'm only directed to AI bots or pre-recorded messaging that does not have an option for what I am requesting. It is ridiculous how many hoops I've had to jump through! And I STILL have spoken to a person yet!

      **Update: FanShield reached out and provided a contact number for Hyperwallet to assist with the reimbursement. The Hyperwallet team was able to connect me with Venmo (my elected reimbursement option) and it turns out the reason things did not disperse is because my email address had apparently not been verified. The ***** agent helped me verify my email, and the second that happened my payment appeared!I have 3 comments.First, after a FanShield *** reached out, everyone was so helpful! Across the board, from them to Hyperwallet, to venmo.Second, my initial experience contacting Venmo was not a good experience (prior to the agent connecting me to them). I didn't have any luck getting ahold of an actual person until I was assisted via a different company. While speaking about *****, there was also no email or notification that I received saying that an email verification was needed. It was awesome that that's what solved everything, but also a little frustrating that that was the only thing holding the payment back. An email saying it needed verified could have 100% changed my experience.Third and final comment, the amount of companies involved with this was wild. FanShield connected with ProTecht who connect with Hyperwallet to connect with Venmo to receive a transaction reimbursement from TicketGuardian. If Protecht isn't where this review should be, I apologize, there were a lot of companies in the mix for this one transaction.

      Misleading scam. I thought I was booking directly with the motel through their online system. I don't recall being given an option for this coverage. When I realized what had occurred, I cancelled, but it was too late.

      Spoofed hotel website and tricked me into making reservation through them, charging extra for "refund protection". I was in a hurry and not paying attention. It does seem to have made my reservation.

      This company is a total scam. Hotel reservations added over $1,000 to a $1,000 reservation. Be careful with this company. I have to leave 1 star but if I could it would be a flat zero.

      This company is a total scam I made arrangements with my motel at the place I was going to and than found a confirmation from them that I was all set. Another e-mail came in saying I was protected for $9.25 charging me $118 when I was quoted $59 . I called the desk at that motel confirmed for the lower fee the additional amenities I requested if that fee appears on my credit card I will advise the bank if you go on their refund request e-mail they want all your personnel info watch your credit cards I never authorized or was advised of a protection fee ***** *******

      After reading the reviews and seeing that I am in the same boat as everyone else, why does this company still exist and why are events still using them? I cancelled my trip to **** and sold my event tickets but they won't give me a refund on the room. I lost my job on November 2nd and they told me I need to get a written letter with the business header and proof I worked at the place for 12 months at least...very picky and clever for them to try to wear the customer down enough to where we just give up and they keep all the money. Save your stupid automated response saying " our loss of employment clause usually gets a refund, but you have to send in all the documents" bs..I do have my unemployment voucher showing dates but that's no good...don't get the insurance from them folks! ****** learned the hard way.

      Made a reservation at a hotel in *****, ******* and took out the insurance. Cost of ins was $14.37 and hotel was $169.03 for 1 night. I could not make it due to the Hurricane. I called and canceled and I made a report yo Protecht inc to get my refund of $168.03. I have been calling them now for over a month and they keep telling me that they will refund me and it still has not been refunded. They keep telling me a Mgr will call me! I am done with this Company! Do not use them, they do not want to honor their ins. I will be calling my credit card Company!Do not get insurance by them!

      No the Hurricane was landing and furthermore because of the Hurricane, my Concert was rescheduled from 10/11 to November 4th!! Do not give me the c*** about weather!! That was the reason I had to Cancel!! I have asked for a Mgr to call me but no one has! Furthermore you have so many BAD REVIEWS, it seems obvious you do not want to pay anyone! Also you already said you were going to refund me but keep giving me the run around! I am going futher with this!!
