Online Purchase - online animal purchase

I approached the website to potentially purchase a kitten. The cat was listed at $600 which seemed low compared to other similar cats from reputable breeders. They quickly emailed me back and we went back-and-forth while I asked questions and they answered them once we got to the point where I felt OK with telling them we would take the cat they requested full payment upfront for $900, which would have included transport of the cat from their location of “San Diego” to our home in Ventura County. Despite the short distance, the price of the transport didn’t change from what they listed as interstate delivery fees, which I thought was also very strange. Because they wanted the entirety of the payment upfront and that delivery fee didn’t change for short range deliveries I became suspicious and I reverse image searched every single image associated with their “customer reviews.” The result of my search found the same images they had used for their customer reviews were associated with other social media profiles in people’s names that did not match the names they had associated with the review. One of the reviews even had a photo of Taylor Swift, which was the tipping points for me in terms of suspicion

Online Purchase - Aurelle and Bloom Scam

Aurelle and Bloom had numerous ads on Facebook. I ordered some Taylor swift pjs. After weeks of waiting for the order to “ship”, I went to the website to find an email or phone number. None listed. The only way to contact the company was to submit their contact form on the website, which I did 2 separate times. When I got my credit card bill, I noticed charges for “VIP club”, both on the days I had submitted that form. The pajamas eventually arrived about 45 days after ordering, they were complete crap and just a way to steal your credit card number. FACEBOOK SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE FAKE/SCAM ADS THEY CONSTANTLY POST.

Online Purchase - Seat Estate LLC

In June of 2024 was connected to a ticket broker through a friend who was selling Taylor Swift tickets. I spoke to the broker, Marc Vincent Moyens, several times over the phone and we communicated back and forth over text. He had a seemingly legit ticket site, seatestate.com and we negotiated a price of $2500 for 2 tickets to see Taylor Swift in Miami the weekend of October 18, 2024. On July 8th and 9th I sent him three payments via Zelle totaling the $2500. He sent me an email confirmation from his business email guaranteeing the tickets as discussed and confirming his receipt of my payment. After months of following texts, the concert dates came and went and Marc never provided the tickets. His story continually changed as to when I would get the tickets and when he was unable to deliver them he stated I would get a refund by October 30th. As of December 1st, I have not received my refund and have sent Marc numerous texts and Zelle payment requests which he has ignored and not responded to. I know of several other people that paid Marc for Taylor Swift tickets that were never received totaling almost $20,000 and this is clearly an ongoing scam.

My Facebook was hacked. The person put 2nd authentication on it so im not able to gain access. They posted Taylor Swift tickets for sale, took over my Facebook messenger and proceeded to pretend to be me when people inquired. They managed to get $2000(those are just the people that I know for sure) from people for these nonexistent concert tickets. Many people reported my page. They got a response saying no wrong doing was happening and my page is still up. I have reported it as well. Im, of course, upset that Ive lost many memories, but im more upset that people are being scammed out of thousands of dollars. At what point is Facebook aiding these hackers? I get that its buyer beware, but when does it become the platforms responsibilty to put a stop to these scams?

Matt Slowiak posted in the Chicago Board Game Group on Facebook that he had 4 tickets to Taylor Swift's show in Indy on November 2nd and was selling for $500 each. I reached out to him on September 2nd, and he replied on September 17th to say they were still available. He even included a screenshot of his phone going from out conversation, into the Ticketmaster app with the tickets. I replied on September 22nd to see if they were still available, and he said yes and "Venmo or Zelle work for the payment and the tickets will be transferred to you immediately you purchase them". I asked if I could buy one for $500 and he said yes. I Venmoed the money to @Lucky_Dragon who he said was his partner, MaryJane, and the account name was MaryJane Fantanilla. I sent $500 on Thursday, October 31st. He then showed me a video recording of him inputting my information into the Ticketmaster transfer section. I didn't receive the ticket for 10 minutes and then he sent me a screenshot saying that he was unable to send just one ticket and would need to send all 4 and asked for me to send the rest of the money. I told him I would not do that. He offered to refund me, I said yes, he agreed and said he would this morning. I still had not received the money after 4 hours, he said he would check with MaryJane, and two hours later I sent a request on Venmo directly. The Venmo request was then declined, and then he blocked me on Facebook. I've reported this to Facebook and to Venmo.

I was scammed into sending $700 for 2 tickets to the Taylor Swift concert in New Orleans. The Instagram page "erastour_resell_tickets" presented itself like a broker between sellers and buyers for Taylor Swift concert tickets. Once they contacted the seller and gave me the PayPal account to send the payment to (via friends and family bc they "didn't want to be charged a fee from PayPal"), they were supposed to transfer the tickets into my Ticketmaster account. That never happened. They (the Instagram page) claimed that they suddenly were having issues with the seller ([email protected]). They said the seller wanted to sell all 4 tickets that they had at one time, instead of the 2 that was initial agreed upon, and I made sure to get confirmation that the seller was only selling me the 2 tickets. Erastour_resell_tickets then tried to convince to just buy the remaining 2 tickets and the seller would be happy and would then approve the transfer of the tickets to my Ticketmaster account. It was at that point that I realized I was being scammed and immediately asked for a refund. They said no problem and that they would contact the seller. The refund never came and the Instagram page blocked me. I am so livid and frustrated bc I was simply trying to surprise my wife with the tickets she had been dreaming about.

Travel/Vacation/Timeshare - 2024 Travel and Excursion Showcase

I received a letter that looked like a check in the mail with the upper left corner saying T.E.S 2024. I opened it up and it says “2024 Travel and Excursion Showcase” right below this was “Fly Aboard All Major Domestic Airlines”. Below that it then lists American, Delta, and United airlines. It says my spouse and I are invited to an informative discussion about affordable travel and future vacationing. It will be at the Hilton Garden Inn. I will receive 2 free round trip tickets for an airline of my choice and 2 nights at a hotel or inn of my choice. If I hurry up and call within 24 hours I will then even receive 100 dollars in dining credit to a restaurant of my choosing with a dining voucher. It said the retail value of this award is $1180 and that if I do not respond they will give it to another guest. It gave me a promo code, which I am sure is either the same in allotted areas or the same for everyone all around. It was signed by Carla Taylor. It had the Hilton garden inn stamped at the bottom with small legal lettering in the bottom right. Stating “All trademarks are the property of the respective owners. Certain restrictions, taxes, and fees apply. Please call for details. Not applicable to Alaska and Hawaii. All major carriers accepted. Not a Timeshare or Real Estate Offer. No purchase is required”. I called out of business hours in hoping to hear an answering machine to get more information and what sounded like a stuttering young woman was the voice on the voicemail greeting. She mentioned that this was a “claims” office and to leave detailed information about myself so they can call me back. I hope no one has to pay the “Certain restrictions, taxes, and fees apply” because they were scammed by this and manipulated into paying a fee to receive the awarded airline tickets and hotel rooms they won! I hope this saves some people from this scam.

Online Purchase - Taylor Swift ticket scam

Someone posted in a woodhaven high school track group text (that has parents and students in it) for Taylor Swift tickets. You are supposed to have to be approved to be in the text group so was presumed to be a parent at the high school. We used paypal friend/family transaction, because it was an individual not a business, but that meant it wasn't protected, so we are out the money for no tickets. They had asked if we had a ticketmaster account because they would transfer the tickets in ticketmaster. They sent screenshots of the tickets. They waited for the money to post. I said we can see it posted. They said okay sending the tickets now. Email never came. They then said they couldn't transfer only three tickets since they bought five and offered the other two an additional $400. I said send the tickets and we will send the balance since we already showed good faith sending money before tickets were received once. Never heard again. Our paypal is linked to bank account not credit card, so we tried to file dispute through bank but they said not very likely since we authorized the transaction. I did it thinking that paypal backed digital tickets but apparently only for the business transactions. We didn't know that you could call an individual a business transaction. It's unfortunate. We will file it with FTC, BBB and police to help track fraud and scammers. Hopefully somewhere along the line it helps. Posted as Betty Hutchinson with number to text 623-377-4556 (turned out to be a google voice account). Paypal to Angie Moore on 6/4/24. Online Purchase - Taylor Swift Tickets

Traci Doering Winslow was selling 4 tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Indianapolis for Nov. 2nd, 2024. My wife first saw Traci’s post on a Facebook group called “Buckland Ohio Memories”, but the post has since been deleted. My wife went back and forth with Traci via Facebook messenger. Traci sent my wife pictures of the tickets and said they would transfer via email after payment was made. Traci’s preferred payment method was through Zelle and my wife had asked her if she used Venmo. Traci did not. I downloaded Zelle and tried to send money to the email address supplied ([email protected]) but this account was not registered to Zelle. Traci then asked to send money to the phone number, (262) 399-2086, via Zelle. This phone number was registered to someone named VERNITA and the area code was from southeast Wisconsin. I questioned Traci about this and she claimed that wasn’t right and asked to switch over to PayPal. We tried paying her multiple times over PayPal to the account @MoserAllisonMarie. Both of my credit cards and my wife’s PayPal account were declined for payment. We asked if we could meet in person, but Traci said we should try Venmo (she previously claimed she did not have Venmo). The account Traci gave us on Venmo is @Jill-Pennington-13. I tried to send money for just 2 of the tickets, but again my payment was declined. After this failed we asked again to meet in person. Traci said she could the following week when she would be visiting her family in town (apparently she doesn’t live in the area anymore). I questioned her more on all these different people and different accounts. She gave us one more number to try on Zelle, 317-746-4027, which is an area code in Indianapolis for someone named Turner. Fortunately Zelle limits transactions to $500 for new transfers. We made the transfer to Traci who confirmed she got it and wanted us to send the rest, but we explained the transfer cap on Zelle. Traci gave us another number, (707) 460-5336, which was an account registered to Hayden with area code in Northern California. This is when I told my wife that we would not be sending any more money. I start messaging Traci direct through my wife’s messenger asking for our money back, and that we were not comfortable going forward any further with anymore transactions unless she met us in person. It’s been crickets since then.

Online Purchase - Taylor Swift concert Tickets on Facebook for sale

A Facebook “friend” posted they were selling Taylor Swift tickets at cost for her concert in Indianapolis, IN on November 2, 2024. I relied that I was interested and they messaged me on Facebook messenger. After back and forth on the process that would take place, I sent $1,000 via Zelle. After, I kept getting the run around regarding the tickets being sent. By this morning, I realized it was a scam and let them know I was aware, and I was then blocked. I filed a claim through my bank and alerted Zelle who told me there is nothing they could do. So, this trusting mom is out $1000.

Phishing - Elsie Beasy Hair Accessories Super Center

They posted an ad hosted by Taylor Swift. In the Ad Taylor Swift is saying how good of a place she is in right now and wants to give away $1000 gift cards to the first 10.000 people that respond. Pay Shipping costs ad she will send a Visa gift card worth $1000. My daughter is a big fan and fell for it. When I was made aware of what happened, I immediately looked into it and found that the charges where sent to the business listed above. I called them to let them know that unless the money was immediately refunded that I would be contacting the FBI cyber crimes also known as IC3 and reporting their fraudulent activities. They told me that I would receive a full refund within 24 to 48 hours directly back into my account. These people committed a crime and no business should be conducted with them.

Online Purchase - Concert tickets

Scammer (Kenna Marie) posted Taylor Swift tickets for sale on a public Facebook website. Scammer then instructed me to contact her through Messenger at which time she asked if I had a TicketMaster account. She then asked me to send her $400/ticket through Zelle but used another person’s email address ([email protected]). Once the transaction was confirmed she asked for my name and an additional $200 to transfer the name on the tickets. When I declined this transaction, she stopped contacting me.

Online Purchase

Scammer post on Facebook to an "Old Metairie Rentals" group stating: "Anyone interested in purchasing my 4 Taylor Swift tickets for New Orleans, LA 27th of October (Plaza level 115. Row 33) PM if interested thank you #everyone #taylorswift." So I reached out asking how much per ticket. She claims "I am selling each for $300...if you don't mind me asking how many are you looking to purchase. I said probably only 2. "Alright. If you don't mind me asking before we proceed do you have a ticketmaster account for receiving the tickets?" So I sent her my email linked to my ticketmaster. Then we tried 2 different venmo accounts and a paypal account but none of my money would send over. Which I know now was probably for my protection. So after an hour of trying different payment methods. She suggested zelle. Zelle let me login through my CapitalOne banking app and transfer the money through there. So I sent the first $300 and then $200 because the zelle app will only allow you to send $500 a day. So I said I would get her the other $100 the next day. So today I went to go send the final $100 and it still was not letting me. I started to really freak out and decided to try to cancel the ticket purchase and ask for my money back and she blocked me and there's no way to get in touch with her or whoever it is.
