    I received a letter advising that MAC Financial has verified my employment and they would bring legal action on a debt from almost 20 years ago. I am receiving new text messages and phone calls weekly with the amount owing increasing higher and higher with every attempt. The original debt was around $3000 and it is now at $27,374.87 and rising. I am a single mom on disability and I don’t own a home. The statute of limitation has passed on this debt.
    Please cease and desist all calls, txts and threats of legal action and any further contact with me.

    This company continues to contact me about a possible debt. All my current debts are under good standing and any debt they may be referencing would be past the statute of limitations on debt collection. Their contact to me is borderline ********** and I want it to stop.

    MAC Financial bought debt from ******** **** and is trying to collect, by means of harassment, embarrassment, etc.
    The statures for debt collection in B.C. the province I live in is 2 years.
    The debt they are trying to collect on is way more then 2 years in fact it could be 5-6+ years.
    They have contacted my employer.
    Texting me daily, calling me daily.
    Threatening to take me to court.

    MAC balance they are trying to collect is $5414.41

    I want them to remove me from their collection list, remove any mention of this debt or collection they have posted on ******* or other credit rating services.

    I would also like an apology letter from MAC Financial stating this matter is over.

    provincial regulations in this matter.  We have never spoken to the consumer.  We have updated his contact preferences and no further correspondence
    will be sent to him regarding this account.  This account is not listed on the consumer’s credit report.

They text, call and email 10 times a day almost everyday. I have told them many times that when I can pay I will pay but I could barely afford to keep roof over our heads, utilities on and food in the stomachs of my kids.     This company calls me multiple times a day from different numbers asking for a person I've never heard of. They leave a pre-recorded voicemail each time they call. Furthermore, they mentioned some of said person's financial information, which is completely unprofessional. I don't know who they are trying to seek, but it's not me. * ****** ** **** ** * **** ** ******

    This company has blown my mind. This lady Lilly has been ********* my phone and previous work. When I picked up the phone she began to belittle me and call me broke over and over again, she also kept telling me I have no money and will amount to nothing. I need some action to be taken and I’m willing to go to court and sue this company for defamation. She should be fired and should never talk to someone like that. She said I have no job and I’ll never have money and that I’m just a broke boy. LEAVE ME ALONE

    I am rejecting this response because: you have not apologized properly, regardless of what the customer said, as a professional business you should not resort to disrespecting the customer, this is not a tit for tat kind of conversation. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for even calling yourself a business. Lilly should never deal with customers ever! And should be let go, I will continue to file a defamation case as you have not satisfied my complaint.  You have also not said you will stop contacting me.

    Nov 2022 went to ********* Loan and took a loan out to payout two **** cards one was with Mac Financial Recovery. ********* made a arrange to payout 4000.00 out of the 4936.18 to settle the account and in the letter I have ******** *** **** *** **** it was settle and they within 5 business day where suppose to report to both Credit Bureaus but they did not instead they have left it now they are phoning me and asking me for the 936.18 and they will send a report to the 2 credit Bureaus and my score will jump up or they will send in letter stating I made a arrangement and that it will go up a little he also told me they left it up so that it would purposely hurt my credit and that they knew I would be calling sooner or later , honestly the things he said to me I was completely dumfounded . 100% that is called extortion. I paid this and account was to be closed and settle but its not. I did phone them and he right out admit that they didn't close it as they want back the 936.18. I told him to hand in the letter and close the account and send the 2 letters to the Credit Bureaus, I gave him 5 days to complete and no this year I was cleaning my credit up from being on WCB for 4 years from a serious accident went to purchase a car and that's how I found out it was still on my credit report. Not happy at all *** **** ******* ** * **** ****** bottom line also phone my work place looking for me

    The consumer settled their debt on Nov 11, 2022.  We closed the account as settled.  The consumer phoned us on November 15, 2023
    stating that their credit bureau had not been updated.  At that time we provided her with the option
    of paying the remaining $936.18 of principal balance in order to obtain payment
    in full status.  She declined the option
    and her account remained settled.  We have
    not phoned the consumer since she settled the debt in 2022.  We have since contacted ******* and ***** ***** to find out why her credit report did not update.  They confirmed that it is now updated as settled.

    Mac financial keeps sending me notices about a debt that my daughter allegedly owes for about 600 plus dollars. It pops up from time to time on my cell phone. I don't owe them any money and they have no business coming after me for someone debts. I delete the message and try to prevent it from popping up again by blocking the caller but somehow it manages to get through. It is annoying, but I don't owe them ANY money and they have no business going after me to collect a debt owed by some else.

    I received a demanding letter from Mac Financial Recovery dated October 27th, 2023 for REF#****** in the amount of $4.741.04 for a debt that has been over six years with ******** ****. The amount that Mac claims to be owed is far more than what the credit card amount was. I receive daily phone calls from different numbers to both my personal and business numbers *********** legal action against me, garnishment of bank accounts and wages, execution against lands and titles, and registration on debt on my credit bureau. The account has already exceeded the limitations yet on a daily basis I would receive text messages and phone calls with ******* to pay the money back with an increased amount stating interest. It was not showing on my credit report until the matter was sold to Mac in 2018.

    The account will not be removed from the consumer’s credit
    report until 6 years past the date of delinquency.  It has not been 6 years yet.  If the consumer wishes to settle the account
    we would be happy to discuss this with them.  The account is growing with interest due to
    the fact that the consumer has not made a payment in over 5 years.  We will update the consumer’s contact preferences
    so that no further contact will be made to her regarding this debt.
