    I have offered a payment arrangement which they're legal team has said is not good enough. By not accepting my payment arrangement and requesting more money they are leaving me in financial distress

    Mac financial and ******* ***** an employee of MAC keep sending me *********** letters that they may garnish my wages and take me to provincial or supreme court, they also never sent me any documentation or collections agent registration numbers etc.

    I consulted legal advice and messaged them that it is stats barred and to stop contacting me *********** legal action about it but they won't stop so im asking for your help to resolve this.

    My credit bureau and my own paperwork clearly state last activity fall of 2019 hence statue of limitations. After I mentioned this they sent me a letter ( *** ********) from a lawyer in BC, I reside in ON.

    I would like them to stop contacting me and stop *********** legal action, to remove the collections from my credit bureau and stop *********/ contacting me.

    We can update the consumer's contact preferences if he wishes.  The statute of limitations refers only to legal action.  The statute of limitations does not erase the debt or remove it from the credit report.  We are happy to discuss a settlement with the consumer if he wants to resolve it.

    Mac financial recovery in Ontario keeps sending letters, last one was a ****** to garnish my salary Mac financial says they found my job but I don,t have a job, I am retired on m writes that I owe 4,000 dollars the letter before was of another amount, Mac financial changes the amount of the debt each time he sends me a letter of retaliation, this time Mac financial wrote to me that, they are going to seize my bank account they want me to pay the ******** **** credit card but i don't have a ******** **** credit card, i'm old and just the federal government pension, are there any problems telephone fraud and ******ening letter, please help me, I cannot answer the telephone of the residence for the elderly I am deaf please write to me by email, do you have a service in French I am French-speaking I live in Quebec , I use a translator on the internet the Mac financial reference number is ******

    Mac financial recovery keeps sending ********* text and phone messages for a debt that doesn't belong to me. I've left them numerous messages and they keep sending anyway changing phone number all the time.
    Their voice mail is full so cannot contact anyone to have them correct the situation and stop ********* me.

    This company continuously ******** me through phone calls and text messages. They are looking for a person that must have given them my number. I have told them numerous times that I am not this person, yet they continue.

    I paid a debt for ******** **** ** in full with Mac Financial in 2020 and I have the release letter stating so. Well today on my credit reports for both ******* and **********, Mac Financial has the placed debt again in collections as unpaid. This is unacceptable. Mac Ref# ******, Original Ref# **************** has already been paid. This needs to be corrected immediately on my credit reports, I deserve a written apology and I want the collection actions stopped. This Collection Agency is completely ********** activities to people and they need to be charged. They can not collect on the same debt twice. Correct my credit report immediately and have this debt completely erased from my credit reports or I am contacting a lawyer and suing this company.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    This account was paid, my credit report had showed as paid and then now mac financial has placed this account back on my credit report as unpaid, not settled. My discharge letter from mac financial says the account was paid in full not settled. Why are they going back to debtors who paid their accounts in full and requesting them to pay the debt again and putting the debt back on their credit reports as unpaid??? **** ** ****** The letter clearly states the account was paid in full, and no further action will be taken. 2 years later mac financial puts the debt back on my credit report as unpaid and says the account was never paid. This is wrong, ********** and must be corrected immediately. Update my credit reports reflecting that the account was paid in full 2 years ago and have this debt fully removed from my credit report! Stop harassing people who have paid their accounts. Update my credit reports immediately!

    We reviewed the release letter and it clearly states that the account was settled in full.  When accounts are settled we must update the credit bureau to reflect settled.  We can only list an account as paid in full when it is paid in full.  We have not "put the debt back as unpaid" on the consumer's credit report.  We cannot remove accounts from the credit bureau.  That is a violation of our agreement with ******* and ***** *****.  The account should be listed as settled.  It should say "settled" and list whatever remaining balance was unpaid.  If this is not what is reporting then we are happy to contact ******* and ***** ***** to ensure that it is reporting correctly.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    You say settled..well I paid 1850 according to your release letter. The debt on my credit report that mac financial put back on says I owe 2241 which was the total amount. 

    The release letter states released. No further actions will be taken. 3 years later, mac financial thinks its ok to take ********** actions by reporting inaccurate information to ******* and **********??? This is unacceptable. I do not owe 2241. The account should reflect settled and paid. When mac financial agrees to close an account once its been settled, they need to honour that. You can not put a debt back on someone's credit report and then *** about the amount. I do not owe 2241. I paid my account in full with mac financial and this needs to be reported as paid. My release letter states paid in full. It is showing as unpaid and a balance of 2241. When you use math, 2241 - 1840 = 391.00. Not 2241. For you guts to be that petty over 391 dollars by ******** ** peoples credit, it shows exactly what your company really is. Remove this debt immediately, correct my credit reports, and do your job correctly.

    You need to get this corrected immediately, this is my last attempt and I will have lawyer involved and I'll get your license removed.

    We agree with the consumer that the remaining balance on her credit report should not be $2241. We sent an update request to ******* and ***** ***** on April 12th.  Once the request is processed her credit report should reflect what is showing on our system.  If the consumer still has an issue after the update she can contact us back.

    The debt this company is attempting to collect is over 10 years old, they think that buying debt resets the clock on the statute of limitations and are not the first to attempt to reset this timer by huying the debt.

    This company calls me 2, sometimes 3 times a day to recover money for a loan which is apparently from 15 years ago and I can not remember the details about. They previously called all of my family members and aggressively ******** them including my grandmother, they also call me on my cellphone which is apparently not allowed according to https://www.********************************************************************************

    My employment received a letter from MAC financial to obtain confirmation of employment. I am still dealing with this company's continued ********** of a debt they claim I owe. I have already explained to them that the debt in question is not mine. I have never taken out a loan or credit card from any entity they are claiming. They are trying to pass along a debt from a boyfriend I was in a relationship with over 10 years ago. They claim it is my debt even though two unfortunate factors occurred - my past boyfriend claimed bankruptcy and tragically he also passed away in 2015. It is now 2023 and I am still being ******** via phone and mail for his old debt. And now they contacted my employer! This is unacceptable and disgusting. Please help me.

    I am rejecting this response because: Again - it is not my debt and the fact that you are see**** that I pay for the debt of a deceased human being is disgusting and unethical. If there are documents with my name and or signature that states i am respinsible for the debt of **** ****, then they are **********.

    Proceed with your documents if you wish but I refuse to be ******* by a company who harasses people for debts of dead people. And as I stated - I know for a fact that Mr. **** **** claimed bankruptcy a short time before he died and thus only after that time did I begin being notified and  ********* post his death. As well,  as of 2014 Mr **** and myself were no longer in a relationship and I recieved ZERO communication from him, or any entity regarding a debt. 

    I am not interested in taking any offer. That debt is over 10 years old, possibly even 15 years and settling for payment for a debt I do not owe is unfair and goes against every principle I have. It also dishonours the memory of someone who tragically died.

    It is not my debt. Period. It is over 10 years old. It is a result of a ********** transaction. Furthermore  i cannot discuss this situation and get to the bottom of this issue with Mr. **** **** since he is deceased. 

    Thank you for offering assistance to investigate it but i am not wasting anymore time and energy on this. The constant harrassment has been a source of great emotional and mental pain to me and it is unacceptable.

    I am again formally requesting through the BBB that MAC financial please stop trying to communicate with me further. If you want to get to the bottom of the debt situation, you go right ahead since it is obviously so important to for you.  But I am finished discussing this further.

    The harrasment needs to stop.
