***********Our condo we moved into implemented submetering.
We were living there for 10 months before services were finally installed and we received our bills. At this point we did not renew our lease and were moving out the following month, which means I had to close my account for the next tenant. I told metergy this, they explained since it took so long for billing I can make payment arrangements and there would be zero issues. We'll I just found out they sent me to collections..even though i have been making payments. Apparently if your account is closed, they eventually send you to collections regardless of any payments made. How is this allowed? I had no choice but to close the account due to moving..they took forever to install there equipment...and now they are damaging my credit even though I have been making payments. ** *** *** ***** ***** **** *** *****

**** *** ********** ******* ******* ** *** ********** My building decided to switch over to Metergy sub-metering. I live in a 490 sqft Studio apartment and i was paying around ~$50 per month. Note that this is given that I travel a lot and am not home sometimes for weeks at a time. When we transitioned to Metergy, my monthly bill has increased to ~$115 per month. That is a whopping 100%+ increase in my monthly rate.
Their customer service is entirely *********** and unwilling to listen or remediate. Instead they pretend like this is "normal" and that this is expected.
The company changes their billing cycle EVERY month, so one month you pay for 34 days of service, the next its 52 days of service, the next 64 days of service. This obfuscates what you would be paying monthly, and they use that to pretend like "oh, you're not accounting for the difference in billing cycle," even though a monkey can divide the charge with the number of days to get a per day cost and clearly see that its insanely inflated compared to before.
I live in a 50+ floor building, and so a LOT of people were affected by this. After Metergy was unwilling to offer remediation to us individually, we all pooled together and reached out to them as a group, threatening them with a lawsuit and news coverage. Only after that, they "would closely review" our charges. After a month of review, they retroactively credited back a small portion of the money that they were charging for the "inconvenience," but they continue to charge outrageous prices as we speak.
I really hope some reporters or someone from the city look into the business they are conducting because i know they are going to find a treasure trove of mishandling and/or fabrication. Worse, they are ***** to their customers faces and the customers have no choice but to bend over backwards for them since we have no other choice. They will threaten to "negatively affect your credit score." sigh...

I own a 3 bedroom town house at ****** ***** *** ******** ******. Metergy is charging me over $1020 every month since October 2023 whereas my neighbours and many other in the locality having similar accomodations get only about a bill of just 400- $500 per month. I complained to and addressed my complaint to them twice and on both occassions they told me that they have escalated with their higher ups. However no remedy so far. In one occassion their technician arrived to check their meter and called me to say he is unable to find the meter and asked me the location. I said the meter is installed by you and not me and you being technician should know the location of the same. When he found out where the meter was installed after couple of hours, he then told me that he hasn't got the ladder to inspect the meter and left. Said will come another day to check , however till date never came.
Again I called Metergy and their customer service representative after keeping me on hold for about 30 minutes told me that they have escalated the situation and meter will be inspected and repaired soon. I don't understand their meaning of the escalation.
Till date 4 months have lapsed and the defunct meter hasn't been replaced
I request *** ** ********* *** *** my water and electricity bill adjusted and get me my money refunded because of their defunct water meter
      Unhappy Metergy client

For the last 7 years at the apartment I am living, I've been paying third party hydro supplier Metergy (formally ********) an exorbitant amount for electricity (last month it was over 800 kWh, for only two people living in this apartment). I called them many times, and they simply asked me to refer to my statement. My apartment management wouldn't let me check the meter either, saying they do not know the location of the meter.
******* ***** does not respond to my complaints either, and these people are liable to no one.

Somehow I was charged for their electric service while simultaneously being charged by my own electric service provider. (**** ******)
The company did not make me aware of what this new service is was or if I had a bill but yet I’m now receiving collections notices after I moved back in September 2023 it is not December 2023. I’ve never personally signed up for this service so their practices are harmful to renters and have allowed my credit to drop 80 points due to this discrepancy

This company is participating in ********** business practices, bills are estimates and not true readings of the meter. We get a $80 avg for water and sewer in a 2 bedroom apartment; we were out of the country for a month just to get a bill for $87 for that month. Service fees are ridiculously high and in my case 20% of the bill, in addition to other miscellaneous fees they add to the bill. ! They *********** landlords to use their services ** *** ********* ** ********

**** ****** **** ******* ** * ***** I live in a 1-bedroom apartment and my last bill was $1200. That is not a typo. My last bill for my 1-bedroom apartment was $1200—and I wasn’t even in the apartment for 20 of those days. On top of that their website is so junky it’s impossible to navigate and when you try to make a payment there’s no acknowledgement whatsoever that it went through. Want to contact them to clear things up? ** *** ****** *** ****** ** *** ** *** *******-they charge you $7.98 JUST TO PAY YOUR BILL. There’s no way around this fee. They literally charge you a fee to pay your bill. What a joke.

Metergy ** ** ******** ***** they back bill without notice (state law to notify customers if bill will increase by 50%) as all readings for a nine month period were estimates. Then Metergy decides to conduct an actual reading, and decide that they will now bill customers actual usage. ******** **** *** **** ******* ****** ** ***********
