      Security Surveillance ***** ****** ** ****** Lorex Camera System was first recommended and installed by a ****** Internet Technician, who installed our ****** Internet. He approached me and stated he installs Cameras as a 2nd job when off from ******. I agreed* *** ********* *** ********* ** ****. My Mother and I ***** ******* ** ******** ***** **** ** **** ***** have relied on various Security and Camera Systems' Companies to keep us safe; all have been unsuccessful: Why? Is it the Technicians? Cameras? ***** *** ****** ** **** *** **** ******* ************ *** **** ** ***** *** **** *** ******** ********* ********** ***** ***** ******** ********** ******* *** ***** *** ** *** * *** ** **** *** ****** ***** I have had to sleep in the Living Room for 4 years to gather evidence of how this particular Lorex Camera System was functioning or lack of functioning. Over the years, I constantly contacted the Lorex Helpline, but issues were never resolved. A Lorex Tech was more concern he was on speaker phone then answering my questions; At first, when ********* ******** ******* ** ****** ********* ********* ****** ********* invasion of privacy started, I thought it was because of areas not covered by cameras, so I bought more Lorex analog wired and wireless cameras over 20. I was wrong. Fact: cameras initially installed and purchased later never detected or recorded perpetrators committing the various acts of crimes but recorded and detected everything I did in front of them. The following observed: blinking screens periodically night and day; certain model analog and wireless cameras function only for 6mths; mouse cursor moving on monitor screen on its own; letter c's appearing on its own on the monitor screen where no cameras are connected to the ports to DVR; losing video periodically on the screen for seconds during day and night; perp was able to inject water into camera lens to distort video; what appears to be a live version is not paused.

      We are sorry to hear this. Based on the customer name and email address we find nothing to indicate this customer had any interaction with our support teams. Furthermore, every complaint mentioned in this review is uncharacteristic of anything remotely associated with the Lorex Brand.

      I am so unimpressed with these cameras. I bought them knowing there was a year warranty on them and paid for the additional 3 years with ****** (Who Lorex offers the additional warranty with them) I have called multiple times trying to get a refund on the cameras and am being advised there is a 30 day return policy and a 1 year manufacture warranty on the cameras so ****** cannot refund me for the cameras until the 1 year mark is over. I spent over a hour with a Lorex tech support worker trying to fix my only a couple month old cameras as they have not been capturing footage from outside of my house. We did a ton of troubleshooting on the cameras and the cameras were still incredibly delayed footage and the Lorex employee told me they are "fixed" now and left a note on the report that they fixed the issues with them. However, they did not solve the issues I am having with the cameras, I tried to explain the delay with the employee live and she kept saying she could see us on the cameras however, we would have to be right in front of the cameras to capture us or it was a incredibly delayed response. My camera hasn't been picking up my mail man at my front door directly in front of the camera, and it missed a group of people directly in front of my house moving bags out of an suv of suspicious items. I do not count on these cameras to make us feel safe at home or trust that they will capture anything important.

      The very first contact by this customer was on January 14, 2024, requesting a RMA to return the system purchased in July of 2023, for a Refund. Refund unfortunately is only within 30 days of purchase. After 2 more failed attempt to obtain an exception to return for refund, the customer contacted our Tech Support team on Jan 17, 2024. After extensive troubleshooting it was determined there was no fault found with the system and the recommendation to the customer was to make sure to turn on the notifications settings on her phone. This customer does have a 3 year extended warranty which covers repair or replacement, NOT refund.

      Hi, on 10/18/23 I was on your site viewing your products when my daughter hit the order button which was a mistake I immediately called and canceled within two minutes was told it was canceled I would be refunded after I received a conformation email
      But the next email I received was a tracking number my account was charged immediately and now I have overdraft fees and when the package was delivered it was stolen I never received the camera video is attached I just recently became a customer ** **** *** *** ***** **** ********* * * *** *********

      We're sorry to hear this. We made every effort to cancel and intercept the package. This is not always possible and the Order delivered. The customer and every customer in this situation is advised of this uncertainty, and is instructed to refuse the order or create a prepaid mailing label online to return for refund. We provided the customer with Proof that *** delivered the package to the correct address. That being said, we will refund this order and absorb the loss but must recommend this customer in future use a secure shipping address or order from Retail, if he wishes to expand the Lorex system.

      No one was able to fix the issue however kept saying it has to do with the internet provider. When it was lorex phone app not working. Spent so much money on getting the system when I could have easily got blink from best buy. Such bad system will not recommend. Phone app is not working at all and technical dept kept saying it's not their problem and they cannot fix it.

      We prepaid the Lorex ************* on July 21st and received the cameras only on Aug 4th not the NVR. I called them back numerous times to inquire about the status but they kept delaying the answer and no email either, really ****** Customer Service. ( PASS THE BUCK ) I am very frustrated with this Company and the Poor Communication Guidelines they have!!
      I would like all Customers to read there reviews as it explain a lot about Lorex!

      We were in constant contact with this customer re his inquiry about the delayed Recorder and the status of his Compensation Request.
      On August 21st we send him the Tracking number and also put through a fairly Large refund on his credit card.

      It is a bad product. Customer service is bad. Just goes round and round.
      Product supposed to be wireless but insist to have it hardwired.
      Spent 3 hours 3 calls of going around and around.
      The product is expensive and the ********* call center that they using are useless as they are only thought to try to fix not offer anything else.

      This is our version of what transpired as recorded by Lorex Tech Support.
      Quote:
      We handled this as: Escalated case #****** on August 12, 2023.
      The issue was: Device offline after changing ISP.
      We tried to educate the customer it was possibly a network issue and we needed to check settings and connection. We advised him to try hardwiring the camera to see if it would connect to the internet.
      Customer mentioned using a ***** hub and hence disagreed and insisted that his internet connection was not the issue and began cursing and yelling and not willing to cooperate.
      We tried to let him understand that we were trying to help him in a professional manner and needed his cooperation. We warned the customer, but he won’t stop swearing so we ended the call. Unquote
      Under the circumstances we regret we were not able to provide assistance.

      First of all, I am already triggered when somebody said you guys called me back and nobody in fact nobody did after my fist call expecting that all was already well. I waited for over a week to get any response and wen I called I was told somebody tried to reach me. SO, imagine that is what you get, being told I did not pick up a call when nobody left a message. Second of all, it was already at the 3rd call. LIKE ARE YOU SERIOUS?! You expect me to go thru all the trouble shooting again after 3 hours already????? Your customer service is designed to exhaust the customers. I SPENT OVER 3 HOURS of trouble shooting.
      Poor customer service OR management put really bad parameters that is designed to have their team fail.

      And lastly as I missed this from second message I just sent, it was directly plugged to the router to begin with from the original call. 3 hours that's all I go back too. HOW CAN I NOT BE COOPERATING FOR 3 HOURS. I was not cussing in the first two calls even though on the second call I was already frustrated that your team lied about calling me. So you can't reach me, you can't leave a message to prove you tried to call? So don't put it on me.

      I bought a camera system in 2017, order number *******, and the camera model on the $700 invoice is LWF1080-64.....although the model numbers on the back of the cameras show LWB3801-C. I have the Lorex Home app and until I recently upgraded my ******, everything worked great. When I did that, the device information didn’t transfer to the new phone. I’ve tried to upload the model and serial numbers by the bar codes but they don’t scan and a message appears - "unrecognised device, not supported by Lorex Home app". I’m not able to do it manually either. I've sent several emails to Lorex asking how to resolve this but I haven't received a single response. So this review is a negative review about their non-existent customer service. I notice the previous responses to the complaints always revert to blaming the customer and I fully expect that to happen to me, but if they get enough negative comments "maybe" they may change their ways. Maybe. So I'll ask again - how do I load my 2017 system onto my ****** ** *** when your Home App won't allow mw to? Or are you forcing me to upgrade my system?

      Well then you should answer the phone when it rings at your office. True to form of not responding, no tech has contacted me. Since months have passed with no contact from Lorex, I have no intention of spending any more time or money on this badly managed company so I threw out the system and bought another brand.

      HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Ok system for the money but just pray that you don't have any issues, The timeline/ playback feature is very slow and outdated. Not like ****** *** where you can scroll through the timeline very easily. The customer service and policies are the absolute worst. If you have any warranty issue they will make you send your old defective unit in before they will send a replacement so you will be without your security system waiting on them to process your replacement unit. Customer service is horrible to deal with.

      We're sorry to hear this. According to our records a Replacement recorder was shipped in advance (with a credit card hold) on August 9th. Tech Support assisted this customer August 15 to connect with the Lorex Home App. No incident was reported thereafter.

      Yes this is true. Replacement unit was sent after 5 calls and hours on the phone trouble shooting, being told different things by each rep, and then when I was at the point of throwing it in the trash and buying a new different system Lorex finally agreed to send a replacement unit but only after I gave them a credit card to pre pay a hold in the even I didn't return the old unit. In the end the new unit works fine but the whole experience was not anything I would even want to deal with again or would recommend to another person considering buying Lorex.

      I called customer service because i have a camera that failed, i bought this camera 6/29/2022 and it falled 7/23/2023. Lorex would not replace, said the warramty expired. I feel a brand new camera should last longer than 12months and asked them to reconsider and replace under warranty but to no avail. I’ve purchased and installed 3 Lorex systems but won’t buy any more ** ********* **** ***** *******
